  1. Reading the King's Dominion thread for the past week.
  2. Fear not TPR, I am here with another edition of my photo trip reports to take everyone’s attention off the hysteria of the King Dominion’s thread. I’m in Sin City and I’m ready to take it on with all the shenanigans one trip report can handle. Day 1: We landed in Las Vegas around 7:30 pacific time, rented a car and showed up to our hotel around 8:30. The hotel itself is a beautiful place with an amazing view from the top on the 38th floor. Soon after we headed out for a walk on the strip to grab some much deserved grub. Now, this is my first time ever in Las Vegas and I will say that being from NYC, the strip reminds me of one gigantic Time Square. Very crowded and touristy and I needed to get the hell out. Don’t get me wrong I will enjoy my fair share of booze, gambling and coasters while I’m here but I am particularly excited for our visit to the Grand Canyon, Red Rocks and Hoover Dam. Anyways, after our decent meal at Jack’s Double Barrel on the strip I walked over to New York, New York Casino to ride one of the most infamously bad coasters in TPR history…..Manhattan Express, now reborn as “The Coaster”. Let me start off by saying “Holy Sh*t this coaster is every bit as bad as advertised in Alvey’s pov. No seriously, like good god this thing is bad. I will quote the video if I am allowed to do so by saying, “They should pay you (Then 12.50 now 14.00 dollars) to ride this ride. For a mere 14.00 you can snap you spinal cord into early retirement. Seriously how is this thing even legal. It has no redeeming qualities (Yes the Dive loop thing is the smoothest part of the ride for some reason) and I waited 25 minutes for it (The life of an enthusiast). It was one of those things that you hear about that is so bad you have to do it. If you ever find yourself in Las Vegas and feel the need to have definitive proof as to why Togo is no longer in business, ride this piece of metal hell. The one thing, and by that I mean the only thing I will give them with this ride is the headlights on the trains work.....Okay the few of the Vegas Strip at nighttime from the top of the lift was cool too. I’ll take Steamin Demon, Canobie Corkscrew, any SLC and a root canal over this ride. 0o0o0 Fancy! Theming? RMC Hurler? New digs for the next few nights. Around 10:30 Pacific Time last night I decided to tempt fate. (Also no I didn't realize the poster for Erotic Cirque Du Soleil or the subliminal messaging sabotage by Hershey until I looked at the photo.) There is that menace peaking over the hotel walls now. "This way if you are a sadistic human being!" The Nevada law regarding this ride is very simple. The only nice thing about this ride was the trains. But it goes all south from here. At this point you're almost concuss. If not you are holding on for dear life saying a few prayers. The Hershey sign is the best thing going for this picture. If this coaster was really the one we had back home instead of Cyclone that would be real depressing. "The smoothest part of the ride." A picture of The Coaster from the top of our hotel this morning. If you look closely you can see a train going up the lift. Thats alll for part 1. Stay tuned for part 2.
  3. Thank the Larry he is gone. He has been polluting the boards for the past week or so. The entire forum has been crazy for the past week or so. Anyway, since the red shield has been chosen for the logo I wonder what will be up next for the fan voting for InvadR.
  4. Alright Madmax needs to take at least a weeks hiatus on this forum.
  5. Just rode Manhattan Express last night.....So yea. Whats even crazier than the 14.00 admission is the fact that there was a 25 minute line. Shame on me for standing on it.
  6. ^ That would be me. My rides Wednesday were absolutely insane.
  7. Get out of this thread. Now. RMC worked on El Toro, its an Intamin plug an play they can always pre fabricate track need be.
  8. Wasn't Dorney was supposed to get a GCI called Heavy Lumber sometime in the near future? No. What the hell are you talking about this time?
  9. My head hurts from reading that "speculation." Instagram is the last place you should be going for industry news.
  10. All good, no worries. And thanks for the info on the cubbies.
  11. I think are more stupid your pair of suspenders. My question was because the main page doesn't have the information that I needed, but thanks to a person in here I find it. You should be more kind and have a little bit of education with strangers, because Im not here to make enemies. What the hell are you talking about? Im going to the park September 4th for the first time in almost 10 years, I was asking a serious question. Edit: Also the picture is from halloween I was a lumberjack. So why don't you get all the facts before you try to attack someone.
  12. Im looking forward to the speculation in this thread to finally be killed and buried. Thats what Im excited about because God only knows I've had enough of it these past fews weeks.
  13. Stupid question, is the locker policy like Great Adventure's or can you leave items in the station baskets?
  14. I have no issue with the name. I can see why they went with the blue color scheme becauae Patriot at WOF already has the red color scheme. Even though Patriot at WOF has one of the best paint jobs I've ever seen on a coaster.
  15. To replace it more old flats and a hand me down coaster of course They already said that they will not be moving coasters anymore, so that's out. As for the flat rides, we live in the most nostalgic generation in the history of mankind. I think they will be fine with a Kaleidoscope. Sarcasam my friend, Sarcasam.
  16. To replace it more old flats and a hand me down coaster of course
  17. Good for GCA. I always wanted to visit when I eventually get out to Cali. This will just push me even more to make a trip.
  18. Dorney park really pushing the envelope again. Im sure these additions to the dry side will increase attendence by 10-15 people next year.
  19. Sorry to change subject but just rode Joker and this thing was absolutely bonkers. I think it being closed was them doing something to the trim break off the lift hill. As soon as the train leaves the lift hill you start hauling.
  20. Sorry for the double post but Im at the park for the first time in a month and Bizarro is stacking 3 trains with minimal guests on line. Yup, Im home!
  21. ^ I loved Canobie, I think you guys are one big coaster away from being put on the map officially for enthusiasts and general public alike.
  22. Probably. I'm pretty sure that's the last day for the water park so it will be crowded. I'm going that day as well. There is no shot in hell of me buying a flash pass for SFA. I'll take my chances, I think we'll be okay.
  23. Headed to the park tonight for some night rides. Finally gonna ride Zumanjaro for the first time this season.
  24. Wooden Warrior was a top 5 coaster on the trip. Me personally it went: 1. Superman 2. Boulder Dash 3. Wicked Cyclone 4. Wooden Warrior 5. Untamed.
  25. This whole thing is just baffling to me, I think Sea World should re-evaluate what they're doing. Whatever happens I hope neither Six Flags or Cedar Fair gets their hands on the parks. I do not need a Flight Deck or Super Hero ride at a Busch park. Cause you know those would come eventually.
