  1. Those pictures were from July 5th. To be fair,I'm not sure how necessary the unfinished line is needed. With the exception of first thing in the morning, the line was just outside of the entrance. I kinda thought it was odd that they didn't have any temporary line in place(like they did when goliath opened), but in all honesty it really wasn't needed. As far as the employees go, they all seemed friendly and generally in a decent mood. I never ran into a pissy or rude employee the whole time. As a matter of fact, I had one ask me how my day was going and started a conversation with me. I've ran into more rude employees at cedarpoint this year.
  2. Here is a quick trip report to check out maxx force. Lots of pictures here.... https://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=76923
  3. apparently Famous Dave's was open even in the flood waters. I wonder how many Health violations were broken here? not sure how true it is, but some people are saying that they were having guests taking their shoes off as entering the restaurant. Not sure who took this picture, as it's been shared on social media all over the place.
  4. So this past weekend I was able to take a quick trip out to Six Flags Great America to check out the new Max Force coaster. in a nutshell I really enjoyed this coaster. Yes...its not the longest coaster in the world, but it has one of the most intense launches I've ever experienced. it launches to about 80 mph in just two seconds. The force of the launch kind of caught me unexpectedly. It's a fairly sudden launch unlike dragster or Kingda Ka where it's kind of an extended launch. The speed at which it takes the inversions is incredible. the inline twist was probably my favorite part besides the launch. although the ride was opened it seemed as if they still had a lot of work to do on it, mostly cosmetic stuff though. And for those asking flash pass is not available for this ride at any level. On the day that I went, it was Coca-Cola day where you bring an empty Coke can in and you get early morning ERT on a handful of Rides. Within the hour of ert, I was able to grab... 2 rides on dark knight without getting off the ride. 1 ride on superman 3 rides on joker 2 rides on Batman without getting off the ride 2 rides on goliath The park really made members feel welcome as well with lots of extras and double points. Let's take a look at a few pictures from my trip. I'm here today. First stop of the day! Here are some shots I took. still got a little bit of work to do on the q's. The park was decked out in 4th of July swag Forlunch, I tried but lous beefsteak. Love using my dinning plan, They even had pro wrestling. People go crazy when it comes to free things. not sure why they sell these, or who would buy one of these from a theme park? Superman doing its thing. Ended the night with some VIP seating for the fireworks show. I love driving underneath the coaster on my way out.
  5. anybody know what this is under wraps behind the pirate ride? Its kind of shaped like a coaster train.
  6. Getting reports of power outages at the park due to storms Anyone confirm this? Looks like a mass exodus from the park right now as well...according to the webcam.
  7. On another note, wouldn't it be hilarious if these blueprints are just a fake distraction that the park purposely leaked out to screw with coaster enthusiasts? These blueprints are filed with the City of Mason (I know because I went and checked). I'm pretty sure it's illegal for anyone to file false paperwork with the government. Plus, it's signed off on by the city engineer. No way this is a fake. If it, it's illegal.
  8. This is one of the reasons that I have been keeping my distance from a lot of coaster enthusiasts as of late. They are just a bunch of whiny cry babies that are never happy with anything. there's a difference between being passionate about something, and just being an a-hole. it's like arguing with a Cedar Point fanboy. In their minds, the park can do no wrong and no other Park is any good. No matter the length of this ride,I'm sure it's going to be amazing! I'm really looking forward to seeing what the park has up its sleeve. On another note, wouldn't it be hilarious if these blueprints are just a fake distraction that the park purposely leaked out to screw with coaster enthusiasts?
  9. it was Windsor at Westside in Kissimmee Florida. https://www.pulte.com/homes/florida/orlando/kissimmee/windsor-at-westside-209319
  10. Has anybody looked at this years show lineup?https://www.cedarpoint.com/play/shows .I gotta say, its pretty weak this year. It's all basically country music or peanuts theamed(not a fan of either). The only exception is the vertical velocity, and beach music. It just seems odd that they are focused on only 2 themes for shows this year for the most part.
  11. It looks like they got Steel Vengeance open late yesterday afternoon. We left around 8pm last night, and it was still down.
  12. Took a few shots of Backbeat bbq. Everything here is delicious! This place is going to be a huge hit however...... There is no inside seating, so during rain and cold weather(and muffleheads) this place will suffer. I'm kinda surprised at the lack of indoor seating, as the place is really well decorated. Brisket platter with corn and a muffin. I'm loving the decor Menu The wall paper is old cassette tapes
  13. A few randoms... No watermark....you're welcome I'll just leave this right here.. Rainbow over maverick.
  14. In case anyone is curious what the food options are at Hugo's, Here you go.... I guess basic Italian food is unique to Ohio? I chose the stromboli and pasta salad..not bad.
  15. sorry about the delay and updates, but life's been pretty hectic. Today's update comes from the Magic Kingdom. During our trip we were able to spend three and a half days at the Magic Kingdom which gave us plenty of time to experience all of the attractions. Dome of them multiple times. During the three and a half days at the Magic Kingdom we were able to have meals at Liberty Tree Tavern, Polynesian Resort ohana, and Crystal Palace. We also had a lunch at I believe it was called Park Plaza at the end of Main Street. The park was busy, but the lines seem to move really fast and we waited no longer than 35 minutes for one attraction. The rest of the attractions we were able to score some good fast passes for. The only attractions that we skipped over we're Hall of Presidents and Tom Sawyer Island. All in all we had a great time at the Magic Kingdom. The only negatives that I can think of ,and I really had to think hard were that there was some effects not working on Big Thunder and Splash Mountain. I noticed the waterfall on the lift Hill on Big Thunder was not working during any of our visits. Did they get rid of this effect or was it just down for maintenance? Splash Mountain had quite a few effects not working and look like it was need of a refurbishment. One thing that kind of stood out to us was the rabbit that hops around the fence was not working, and greasy hand prints all over the wall behind it. Neither of these things had any effect and how much fun we had. The spark Still Remains one of my favorite parks in the world. We were also able to check out some of the Tron coaster construction going on. I've included a few shots of that in the photo portion. This is going to be a welcome addition to the park as it really was in need of another big ticket attraction. Speaking of photos let's get on to them shall we... Magic Kingdom is home to several these boat rides It's a small world as one of them The other one is Pirates of the Caribbean I love this ride but I do prefer the Disneyland version slightly more. We wants the redhead! one of my personal favorite attractions at the park is Carousel of Progress There are several scenes throughout the attraction Right next to Carousel progress is another one of my favorite rides in the park the People Mover! from the People Mover ,we were able to get some great shots of the Tron construction going on. There were also some photo opportunities over in the line for Barnstormer Looks like they didn't want the train coming through here Dinner at Crystal Palace is always a big hit with the kids Speaking of food ,this park has more snack options than any other Park. This was some ice cream concoction from Tomorrowland. This was the hey hey themed ice cream cone from the Dole Whip stand One of my favorite desserts are the churros with a dipping sauce at Pecos Bills. I apologize I didn't get a picture before the plate was destroyed, but the desserts at Liberty Tree Tavern were remarkable as well. This view never gets old Lots more coming from the Magic Kingdom, including our check in at all star movie Resort..... stay tuned!
  16. Sometimes you see something that is so unbelievable it just makes you shake your head. This video is no exception. Apparently this man lost his cell phone on Big Thunder Mountain, and jumped off on one of the lift Hills to go retrieve it causing the ride to E stop and leading up to people getting evacuated. If I were Disney I would sue this idiot to the fullest extent of the law.
  17. Today is friends and family day at the park. Looks like the monster trucks are up and running.
  18. I just added it. Will need pictures of the Ferris Wheel and let me know If I missed any other rides Here is a picture of the ferris wheel. The other rides that you need pictures of, I'll have to get to in the evening sometime. Yhey're only open until 4 in the evening this time of year. I didn't want to trespass to get the pictures. It's done nothing but rain here the past 2 weeks, so sorry about the gloomy picture. I'll try to get a better shot when the weather clears.
  19. If this were a six flags park, people would be freaking out why the coaster is taking so long to build.
  20. Thanks! My kids got the burger pods, and said they tasted a lot like a McDonald's burger. I agree about the deserts. We had the chocolate one as well, and it was very good. I'll post some more pictures tomorrow night, I'm just too tired tonight to do it.
  21. I agree! it can be quite a challenge to time all the shows just right.
  22. The only part of this poll that baffles me, is the worst wooden coasters. Seriously....Zacks zoomer and little dipper made this list? I could think of a hundred other wooden coasters that should be on that list. Zacks zoomer is a kiddy coaster in nowhere Michigan, that is basically a clone of the kiddy wooden coaster at kings island, dominion, and carowinds. It's in no way rough, and it runs just as good as the other clones of it(none of witch made the list). Confused on this one. Little dipper at six flags? All I can say is seriously??? Out of all the bad wooden coasters in the world, this is one of the worst? This is just my opinion, but kinda odd.
  23. Today we checked into animal kingdom lodge. What an amazing resort! The entire resort is absolutely beautiful, and the attention to detail is remarkable. We went with the pool view room over the Savannah View. It was literally a couple hundred dollar difference between the two. The Savannah view room is very expensive, and you're not even guaranteed to have animals come close to your room. There are several viewing areas throughout the resort to view the animals. On top of that, there is a lot of activities for the entire family to enjoy together at this Resort. The food options are plentiful and we really enjoyed dinner at Boma. Here are some pictures from the resort, and a few from our day in the theme park. The emersive lobby. At the opposite end of the lobby, you can get a great view of the grounds. The pool at this resort is HUGE! There are several viewing areas throughout the resort where you can get a good view of the animals. I definitely recommend checking out the night vision event they have out by the Savannah. This activity is free and they have military grade night vision goggles. the theaming in our room was wonderful. A selfie, and bathroom area. The view from our patio. There is a pool out there somewhere. We were able to sit on the patio and watch the movie by the pool, right from our room. Random picture of the counter service food area. Dinner at Boma was a highlight of our trip. Dinner was amazing! The soups were wonderful. I fell in love with the mushroom soup. The zebra domes, and other desserts were a hit as well. The food is delicious, but it can be pricey. Thank God for the dinning plan. Being so close to animal kingdom was also a bonus. Pandora was amazing! Once again, the attention to detail was great. We had lunch at satuee(sp). It was odd but good. Just outside the restaurant, they have a power suit demonstration. We broke down on the dinosaur ride. Sat here for a half hour. Lots of great picture opportunities at this park. We chose to have our dinner at the tusker house. The food here is great. Lots of choices. There is also a lot of character interaction at this restaurant. One last look at animal kingdom before we head back to the resort for a swim. Stay tuned for my next update from the magic kingdom.
