  1. Sad story... There is a guy up here in Michigan that has built one of these types of rides. He rents it out at birthday partys. I was actually thinking of renting it for my daughters birthday, but this has changed my mind.
  2. Here are some short videos of what I miss the most about pleasure island. [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=S6305779_0wjr[/coastertube] And. [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=S6305776_0839[/coastertube] But most of all, I miss manaquins. 3. When I rode colossus last year, it was not that bad of a coaster. There are much worse coasters out there.
  4. I couldn't agree more. As in the case of son of beast, I would just rather see the ride go. After the loop was removed, the ride was just left with a boring layout. The ride has such a bad reputation, I don't know if it could ever recover from that. I am sure the track replacement can't be cheap. They could build a new coaster for what?....7-8 million?
  5. If cedarfair were in charge of sfsl, the new name for evil kenevil would be "motorcycle flight deck".
  6. There is a site that I go to when planning a Disney trip. This site has the menus, prices, pictures and rates all the places to eat in walt Disney world. http://allears.net/index.html This site will tell you everything you want to know.
  7. Nice pictures. This ride looks amazing, but I can't figure out why parks are building rides that have a launch or tall lift, only to have trims right after it.
  8. I assume they will keep the loony tunes and mavel license?
  9. Not seeing tony hawk or the wiggles is not going to make any difference to me. Thomas on the other hand....
  10. I am glad that they are doing something with pleasure island. But I REALLY miss mannequins and the adventure club. I am kind of confused as to what besides a bunch of lights, they are going to have at night now. The last time we were in downtown disney, it was depressing. I hope whatever this is will liven the area up. Disney needs some kind of night time "adult" entertainment.
  11. Thank you for all the great IAAPA coverage Rob!!! Does Huss have anything new this year?
  12. Come on now.... We have to give the dippin dot's guy some credit. He was right about the launched wooden coaster. BTW...Is huss at the show? I have not heard much from them lately.
  13. Due to being laid off, my trips were limited this year. This year I did these parks.... Disney Hollywood studios Epcot(my favorate) Animal kingdom Dorney park Kings island Kings Dominion Michigans adventure Cedar point Six flags over georgia Lake winnie
  14. I am not sure what they are spending on the thomas license, but re-doing all the thomas towns will not be cheap. The wiggles and Tony Hawk could be re done for a lot less. Does wiggles even bring in that much of a crowd? I know that my daughter will be bummed out if thomas leaves.
  15. I have been hearing some pretty strong rumors that spain may finally find it's way to epcot. Spain would be great, but as far as food goes, it will be a lot like mexico. One thing that was not in the concept art, was the german boat ride that was almost built. The building was built, but the ride was never built. The building is just used for storage. I believe the ride was themed to a rhine river cruise.
  16. The other 2 rides have very small footprints.
  17. Here are a few videos in my collection. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=56015&start=210
  18. Has anybody else noticed that castaway bay is closed until dec 17'th? I called to find out why, and was told it was because of general building repairs and maintenance. Sounds like I was fed a line to be honest.
  19. Thank you. I will have more demon drop on monday. I remember the double whell as well. I can't remember if I actually went on it, as I was really young back then. The book is 157 pages long. It goes into detail about anything and everything. The visual board test that you have to take in order to work the ride is not too hard. You just have to read the sections that will be coverd in the test. Here are a few pictures of what the visual board test includes. Hope this gives you an idea of what you must learn to run a coaster. Sorry about the crappy scan.
  20. Wow....no comments? I thought for sure this would be a hit.
  21. I would really like to see the new B&M rolling stock for the 4-D coaster.
