  1. I'm excited when this coaster opens, but when it does, what will happen to Terminator 2 3D at the Universal Parks? Will it be replaced or will it stay?
  2. I heard that they're updating the Kong attraction that got destroyed in the fire. Universal did make an announcement about that sometime back in August, but I'm not sure exactly when. One thing that I'm still confused about is where did you hear about it opening in 2009?
  3. Awesome Photo TR! This makes me wish I was in Orlando again, and it got me pumped up for the Halloween Horror Nights here in Hollywood!
  4. Thanks for telling, cause when I go Saturday, I'm probably going on the rides, especially X2!
  5. That looks totally awesome! I'm actually going there this Saturday with a friend of mine, but we might not do the mazes since he doesn't usually go in mazes during the events. I still think the $5 maze deal they have is kind of stupid. Is it $5 per maze or $5 for all of the mazes?
  6. Since another halloween is upon us, and all of the theme parks are putting up their halloween events, I thought I'd go ahead and just upload a really late Photo TR from last years Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood. I went with a friend and we had a blast. We went in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre maze, the Terror Tram, Jurassic Park in the Dark, and everyone's favorite, MMMmmmmmmm The Ride! I read on Robb Alvey's Photo TR that they weren't allowed to take video or photos on the Terror Tram, well I think the problem has been fixed, because nobody was telling me to put away my camera. Enjoy this very, very late Photo TR and I'll have one from this years Halloween Horror Nights and hopefully Knott's Scary Farm! Time to close this Photo TR with Sagar and some creepy dude. Sorry this Photo TR is short, but I'll have a better one for this year! Thanks for looking at it. What is it with Halloween Horror Nights and mutant pigs with chainsaws? We didn't go in the Jason and Freddy mazes, so I went back a few days later and checked them out. This is now "Home Sweet Hell" Hurray for disfigured bodies in the crashed plane! Can someone tell me what Sagar's reaction to Freddy is? Could he be scared, excited or just energetic? Tonight, Leatherface is going to show us how to make fried human face! lol I was running in fear when I took this photo of Jason! Jason coming out of a tent on the Terror Tram Frink invented a machine that turns your eyes red! Busted! "No Selma, there are other good looking guys besides me!" "Natural instinct" told us to check out The Simpsons Ride construction! Sagar got her number, but she never called back! I'm just kidding, he never got her number! lol Good thing these three guys are part of this years event! "Welcome to last years Halloween Horror Nights" lol
  7. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor I saw it last night and it was better then I expected it to be and it was 1000 times better then Rotten Tomatoes 9% rating and what other critics say about it. It makes me wonder what people now think of the "fictional" third mummy movie mini-plot line at Revenge of the Mummy in Florida.
  8. I have only one word that can sum up my expression for these comics. Weird!
  9. An Iron Man themed ride would be awesome, however it would be up to Marvel to make the decision and not Paramount, since Iron Man is after all a comic book.
  10. I don't know if this counts, but the last ride that I remember riding was Tornado at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor
  11. Christopher Walken was the best part of Disaster, in my opinion
  12. Back in February 2008 my uncle hired my dad for a week long job in Orlando, Florida, and since my mom was working on a movie in Boston, my brother and I managed to come with our dad and we spent all week at Universal Orlando Resort and was the best time of my life. I know it might sound weird to spend six days at two theme parks, but both parks were almost empty, and I had to make the most of it since I'm not sure when I'll ever go back and check out the rest of the theme parks in Orlando. The pictures are mostly of Islands of Adventure because it's my favorite theme park out of the two and since they're all pictures of different days, you will notice weather changes and different clothes on me! Enjoy! Now to end my first Photo TR with a random photo of a "Zombified" T-rex. Yikes! "No, Thank you Universal Orlando for putting up with me." I hope to come back sometime soon! Ya I kind of got nervous on ride, but it looks like I'm taking it pretty well! Before it was time to leave, we decided to go on the Jurassic Park River Adventure one more time. The Thing: "Go see our two awful movies on DVD or else It's Clobbering Time" Here's another duck related photo for you guys! This time he's with a seagull in front of Dr. Doom. They have to build this at Universal Studios Hollywood! That would be cool. "WTF is this that I'm driving and where's the steering wheel!" "Somebody help me again!" It's the fight of the week, Mr. Crane vs. The Incredible Hulk. Who will claim victory and who will smell defeat! The Incredible Hulk is also empty. Could the world be coming to a tragic ending? Wow, Marvel Superhero Island is empty. That's something you don't see everyday, unless you happen to be a member of the cleaning crew. Who named the parrot Salty, and why does he work at Islands of Adventure? Nicholas: "Don't move or I'll blow your freaking head off!" "No Marmaduke, sit, stay bad doggy. Somebody please help me!" "Robb was right, this park does know exactly what people are thinking!" This has to be the loneliest on-ride photo I've ever seen! Can someone tell me why the splash in Hollywood was toned down? Please! Don't worry fellow Theme Park Reviewers, Dan narrowly escaped death. Even though his shirt didn't make it. "Damn you Jurassic Park Animal Control Gate Number 13." It's been nothing but trouble ever since the park opened! lol This little guy looks so relaxed. Even though it's a robot. "Hi I'm an Ultrasaur. I may be lonely, but at least I don't have occasional neck problems like my sister does in Hollywood!" One good thing about this version is that there is no parking lot in the background! That made me happy. "Insert Jurassic Park Theme and corny announcer here!" Time to go on the very different Jurassic Park River Adventure! "Excuse me Mr. T-rex, do you want some of my Icee?" Another funny sign, which reminds me of the two dinosaurs fighting for popcorn back at Universal Studios Hollywood! Baby dinosaur: "Mommy why is there a shelf in your stomach?" I got to name the raptor and its name was Erika! Looks like a baby raptor is about to hatch! This was something I didn't get to see during my 2006 trip. I found a weird sign in Camp Jurassic! This was my favorite island next to Marvel Superhero Island! Fire Dragon: "Do you think we'll be torn down for Harry Potter?" Ice Dragon: "No way, I'm the coolest ride here and you're the hottest!" Enchanted Oak: "Take one last good look at me before I become part of Harry Potty......ummmmm.......I mean Potter!" Look at the awesome looking clouds over Mythos! There was a storm one day so we had to leave the parks early. It felt really weird being at Islands of Adventure without a crowd. The longest wait time, until Saturday, was 35 minutes for Pteranodon Flyers! Either Universal Orlando Resort celebrates Christmas two months too late, or they're really slow! "Insert Port of Entry music here" This was taken on the first day and we really did beat the crowd. Only to find out there was no big crowd! Now it's time to go over to Islands of Adventure Here's a Mummy shot for you guys. It's very different from the one in Hollywood, but I like both of them equally! I never noticed this during my 2006 trip, but what is it with tornadoes and cows? I wasn't a fan of Twister either. I find it to be Florida's answer to Backdraft at Universal Studios Hollywood Nicholas and I decided to check out Disaster and it wasn't that great. It was just the same old boring Earthquake ride, but with The Rock and Christopher Walken. Amity 6 about to take unexpected guests to their doom. I'm sure happy I wasn't on that boat! Jaws ate my tuna sandwich and I'm trying to get it out of its mouth! lol That guy should have brought an umbrella. Ya it unexpectedly rained on us one day and then it stopped five minutes later! "I didn't know that NASA built a launch site on top of The Simpsons Ride building!" Don't try this at home fellow Theme Park Reviewers. That's why I'm juggling these bombs at Universal Studios! lol Nicholas and Milhouse causing some unneeded vandalism! Bart likes my shirt and cut the cheese in front of Homer! One cool thing about Universal Studios is how cool the lines are when you're waiting to get on the ride! Once we were in line, a flood of memories came rushing back when the ride was still in Hollywood. ......with the greatest T-shirt in the world! lol E.T., the greatest family ride at Universal Studios Flordia....... "Back in Hollywood already? That was the fastest six days I've ever experienced!" Lisa's got to start wearing a longer shirt when being in photo's with little kids! Here's a cool shot of Islands of Adventure in the distance. Take a look at the steam coming out of the water. When this photo was taken, it was 32 degrees. Once the park opened we headed straight for Jaws to warm up! Try to find me in the mist! A lot of mist falling into the water, like a waterfall. Random Ducks: "Let's break into Starbucks before those more of those idiot humans come! Quack." There was a kids choir singing at City Walk one day. I was super exited to be back after my first trip to Orlando back in 2006 Time for nothing, but fun and excitement!
  13. Does anyone know how many photo's we're allowed to post on a Photo Trip Report?
  14. I've been a member for a couple of months now, but I'm still sort of new to the site, so I might as well give out info about myself! My name's Alexander Robinson, I live in Los Angeles, CA across from The Grove near The Farmers Market, and every year I get a season pass to Universal Studios Hollywood. Ever since I joined Theme Park Review I've always wanted to go on a trip and be featured on the videos. Theme Park Review videos are now pretty much the only videos I watch on youtube. (aside from the ones on my account) That's all I can think to say about myself
  15. Sorry, I don't have any videos of it, but I'm sure there are some videos on youtube.
  16. I visited Universal Studios Hollywood the most, probably over 100 times, I've lost count since I've been there so many times!
  17. Heard news that the famous collapsing bridge on the Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood will be fixed up, and will be collapsing again next month. . I'll certainly be there to see it fall again! On a kind of similar subject, the studio tour guides were asked for suggestions in order to make the tour more interesting until New York Street is repaired and Kong's replacement has arrived. Let's see what many surprises they have in store for us Theme Park Reviewers and other guests! Went out of commission in March 2006, but it will collapse again, August 2008 =D
  18. Looks like fun. Also, what does the Mall of America NOT have? Makes you wonder!
  19. it really looks like fun, can't wait to go on it! it's still a shame they had to take down BTTF
