  1. Or they could just embrace it and rename Predator the Ride of Wood.
  2. Great start! I didn't see the dark side of Philly since the one time I was there was for the Pope and I was told by a local they cleaned it up for his visit.
  3. I was always interested in seeing how they evac-ed a vertical lift.
  4. ^ Hades 360 and Clementon's Hellcat also have warnings that the rides are running aggressive.
  5. One big thing to watch out for with La Ronde is how long it takes to get in the park. It took me a half hour to navigate from the bridge to the island with the park and then 1.5 hours (yes you read that right) waiting in line to get in. If the back entrance is open, I highly recommend that if the front one is a total madhouse.
  6. Great report! With a trip to Silver Dollar City likely happening in a year or two, I'll be sure to stop at Worlds of Fun. Always glad to see a rotor still standing.
  7. Wicked Cyclone reused the old Cyclone station as well.
  8. With the location of the clearing and survey markers, a water park expansion makes too much sense for the park's long term success. A mini woody like Roar-o-saurus or Wooden Warrior would be great since they're relatively cheap and amazing rides. If they wanted unique, they could add a barrel roll like Mine Blower but that would remove the family aspect.
  9. The extra puzzling thing is dropping the possessive is a recent thing with Six Flags. SFMM's stand-up is Riddler's Revenge while SFOT calls their frisbee Riddler Revenge. SFNE calls their coaster Catwoman's Whip while SFOT calls the endeavor Catwoman Whip. And the employees at SFOT even add the possessive which shows how awkward not having that apostrophe s is.
  10. The golden part is the thing that gets me. For whatever reason, I just think of golden shower (I play a lot of Cards Against Humanity).
  11. Chain wide I've found operations much faster this year than past years.
  12. That's what Hertz said when I made it from Disneyland to Six Flags Magic Mountain in 90 minutes...and this was me leaving at 8:30 am on a Wednesday. I didn't question it.
  13. I've been to LA, Atlanta, New York/NJ, Chicago and a much of metro areas where everyone says traffic is a disaster. Outside of Boston, the only spot worse for traffic I've encountered is DC. Even at midnight, it's bumper to bumper.
  14. I think the next coaster should probably be of the family variety. After the Dragon kiddie coaster, the next tamest coaster is Yankee Cannonball. I think they could use something to bridge the gap like maybe one of those Mack spinners. My pipe dream is Kanonen since it's just below the height limit and would have a unique layout for a ride in the area. I'd say that's a very fair assessment of Yankee Cannonball. It's super reridable, but the airtime can vary wildly. I have gotten rides where I've come out of my seat on every hill, but that hasn't happened in 4-5 years at this point. Then again I have also had some slower rides where I can hardly get any air.
  15. I do like Impulse, but I'll take a lapbar-only Eurofighter over Impulse.
  16. I've never once hit traffic on the NJ Turnpike. I guess I just have a golden horseshoe wedged in the hood of my Jetta. I can't see Six Flags's primary audience picking a smaller family park over a major thrill park. I still think Hershey or Dorney are bigger competitors to their business.
  17. I still think an I-Box is coming since reusing the Cyclone's structure seems like a more cost-effective move.
  18. A conveyor system will keep the loading the trains going out consistently. I'm taking a wild guess this ride will have to have lockers in order to keep it flowing smoothly.
  19. With every Six Flags thread now wishing their park gets a clone of SFFT's Raptor coaster, how funny would it be if Georgia Cyclone was completely torn down and replaced with a Raptor instead of receiving the I-Box treatment?
  20. That area next to Joker did seem bare, so seeing a ride there would look great.
  21. A giant frisbee would help the park's flat ride lineup significantly. Please start adding rides to the Old Country area. That area was so spooky to walkthrough last year at Holiday in the Park, especially when a Six Flags security guard pops up from behind and interrogates you why anyone would want to take a picture of the old observatory from the Chiller ride.
  22. I don't care who announces it first. If Great America gets the same layout, they'll have an awesome top 3 with Raptor, Gold Striker, and Flight Deck.
  23. This looks absolutely amazing! Not that I needed another reason to visit SFFT since it's now my favorite Six Flags park, but this may make me return even sooner than I anticipated. The first drop looks bonkers. Not sure if it will beat Iron Rattler, but the fact that I'm even thinking that says a lot. The layout definitely seems clonable so I wonder if we'll see it at another Six Flags park next year or in the following years. I know I thought the same about Goliath, but Great America is still the only park with that exact layout. The capacity does seem a bit worrisome. 8 riders on what will be marketed as a premier attraction seems very low. Then again, Six Flags has been able to keep the lines manageable on the free spins so with the right crew I think they can keep the line palatable. I'm guessing it will still be at least an hour on most days though.
  24. ^ Unfortunately the cycle before you always has a ton of screaming and you'll often have someone come off greener than the Hulk. Plus they also have the observation deck next to the queue. Best of luck getting her on, but it'll be hard if she hates spinning rides. Obviously Disney is going to do a better job with a coaster, but for a smaller park Untamed's theming is unbelievable. The park's overall charm is where Canobie shines. I think one more great coaster will really put the place more on the map with enthusiasts and make it a must when they go to SFNE.
