Wow, I'm really sorry about your bad experience at knott's. That really sucks. Must've brung in those careless 16-year old employees, eh? Lol. My experience at knott's was the exact opposite. So that was kinda unexpected.

Did you know: That "Crazy Mouse" opened at Dinosaur Beach in NJ, in June of 1997? That "Exterminator" opened at Kennywood in April of 1999? That "Crazy Mouse" opened at Myrtle Beach Grand Prix in June of 1999? That the 2 "Primeval Whirls" opened at Animal Kingdom in March of 2002? That "Spider" didn't open until April of 2003? Oh. LOL, I guess I know why people don't trust wikipedia, now!

DID YOU KNOW... Lagoon is Utah's only ThemePark? Lagoon's colossus is different from all the schwarzkopf doppel loopers, as it has an extra curve in the helix? Lagoon's wicked-A roller coaster that launches you straight up a 110 ft tower and straight down, through an airtime hill, a 127-degree-over banked turn, a heartline roll, and a bunch of half pipe curves was NOT built by intamin, it was built by zierer? (Look at the track!) Lagoon's spider was the first spinning coaster in north america? Lagoon's samurai is slower than other mondial topscans because of the unusually cold weather, it can't operate faster unless it was indoors...It's still an AMAZING ride, however.

I heard SFMM is gonna repaint X2's supports yellow and call it the Carl's Jr. Coaster! P.S Wait, how could chimelong express' dive machine be that track? Is it one of those things where the color changes or what? Because last time I checked chimelong express's dive machine was pink...not red?

DISCLAIMER: I respect all the good people that die or are injured in this earthquake. I care about people WAYY more than theme parks, so don't call me ignorant, ok? I'm not TOTALLY obsessed with rollercoasters, just pointing that out. But this IS a theme park and coaster forum, so I may as well post these pics. Incase you have never heard of this place, here are some photos to get you familiar. [This first post is only the main rides] Colossus. A very intense double looper with nearly 5 gs and a drop that gives you crazy butterflies. Rollercoaster. Built in 1921, this ride is old, and as of now the paint is peeling, but the ride has always had a GREAT classic charm to it. It offers some nice airtime and some fun bunny hills. If you are an ACE, then you'd like this. Wicked. This ride starts in a dark, misty tunnel before shooting you out and over a very tall vertical tower. This ride is VERY tame, but it is also EXTREMELY fun, and pretty smooth, too! Doesn't look like it from some points (specifically the end) , but it's smooth as glass. The ride offers a zero-g-roll, two half pipe curves, and a 127-degree overbanked horseshoe. Here's another picture of the very intamin-looking coaster, specifically the beatutiful heartline roll! Wild mouse. Do not ride. More pictures soon.

If I owned lagoon: -NEW MANEGEMENT. -When repainting Colossus, I'd acctually have them paint the entire thing for once...Not just repaint some of the track while the rest of the track has outside rails that haven't been painted for so long, they look like they are acctually PAINTED black! -Have them reprofile Rollercoaster in one piece...not rebuilding one section each year... -Fix all the lights on colossus and give it a new logo...Not a cheesy one... -FINISH wicked's scenery -Add some more water features (Like one of those little round ponds with the fountain in the center) -Acctually advertise the park -Give the park a new website...LOOK AT THIS: http://Www.Lagoonpark.com BORING SITE. -Sell cliffhanger and acctually get a model that works -Add a batman clone in a peice of land that hasn't been used -Retheme terroride (That ride is sooo corney...the only scary thing is the deafenning HORN at the end...) -Reprofile the ever-so-painful laketurn on wicked -Remove the trims before the overbank and slow the trims at the MCRB down so the speed is still even -Turn wicked's sewer pipe tunnel into a strobe tunnel -Remove the bat (YAY!!! NO MORE VEKOMA!), Purchase the cyclone HUSS swing around with the money that came in from ADVERTISING the park. Then the park would REALLY be awesome...

Colossus the firedragon at lagoon in farmington, UT. A great double looper with no lapbars, fun spiral turns, and five gs on the loops...maybe a little over. Coaster looks simple, but if you ever plan to ride a ride like this, remember my words: DON'T UNDERESTIMATE ANTON SCHWARZKOPF.
