  1. Hearing about all the tech that's going into this ride is really psyching me up for it. Jut the fact that they can play 70 different sounds simultaneously blows my mind. I need to get back out to the park.
  2. I mean, they could at least put up some of that shade covering that full throttle has. Just as something to make it through as a temporary cover.
  3. I don't think I've seen anyone post this yet, but SFDK posted a teaser pic of their trains. Courtesy of the SFDK fb page.
  4. I hope the ride planners go ride Journey to Atlantis and come to their senses before considering that. I'm betting the "water" coaster will be a water propelled raft coaster as part of the water park expansion. No CGA is due for a full fledged steel coaster. And with Joker opening up the road, I don't see CF messing around... Well if you look closely, there are two different water type rides. One being a master blaster and the other being a water coaster.
  5. At the park now, it's not as crowded as I expected. There is a lot of new paint around to spruce it all up. The backpack that we got and my gf modeling it
  6. A majority of schools don't get this day off. Usually only private/religious schools do. I don't expect it to be too busy until late afternoon/early evening. Indeed this is very true, so I'd say at like around 3-4 maybe earlier is when it'll pick up a bit.
  7. I knew it wasn't going tone open on opening day, but I just want to go, jut to take in the opening ceremonies. I'll try to get a TR up that evening as well.
  8. Opening day is almost here, if this rainy weather keeps up or at least threatens to for opening day, the crowds will be scared away. I've had plenty of experience with this, to the point where I rode GS 30-40 times in a day. Who's planning on attending, I'll be there (rain or shine) with my gold striker backpack, might wear my terminator sweater to protect myself.
  9. This was back in 2010 I believe, first time at Thorpe. I believe it was later in the day and cloudy as well, just thought I'd share this. Stealth Thorpe park.
  10. I'd personally help CGA in tearing down Grizzly and put in a mega lite or something like wooden warrior on a bigger scale. I could always get rid of vortex and put the mega lite there. Throw in a decent launch coaster as well, some new flats as well just to round off the park a little better.
  11. I haven't heard or seen anything regarding Berzerkers removal, so as a safe bet I'm pretty sure we'll see it there in 2016.
  12. This was just posted on the CGA fb. Just thought I'd share it, maintenance on the Barney Oldfield cars.
  13. I agree, the colors go well with the wood color. Makes it pop more
  14. Wooden: Gold Striker when first opened, still pretty smooth aside from some shuffling. Steel: Medusa SFDK, flawless ride from start to finish.
  15. I'm just hoping with this addition to the park and as a whole to the bay area that we can have another Bay Area Bash.
  16. I'd actually be very interested to get back into this as well. It's been a few years, but now that I've landed a solid job I can actually afford to do it again.
  17. I've always seen this park on my bucket list, but even more so now than ever. A kick ass mega-lite and an RMC, it's really making me want to get out here asap.
  18. I'm actually pretty stoked for the Mass Effect ride. It's different than what's ever been in there before, it'll also attract a new crowd to the park. (Gamers specifically) Other than this 2016 addition to CGA, when do you think we'll be getting another coaster? If so, what kind?
  19. http://abc7ne.ws/1MB8v9s It was bound to happen eventually, I mean when you mix BIG crowds with alcohol, some fights are bound to break out eventually.
  20. ^ That track got here fast, now to just start getting it all into place and make the place more twisted.
  21. Roar as it is now is already ten times better than what it was before. But now that RMC is going to dramatically change the skyline of this park when driving up will get a lot of people excited for what's in store for them. It'll be awesome to see how fast this bad boy goes up, it may look short as well but I feel like it could pack a big punch. Maybe get there for a promo shoot if they have one.
