  1. Where in the park is the Safari Discoveries? I have an idea where it is but I think I always end up walking right past it.
  2. ^ Most likely yes. It's going to depend on what discounts get offered for ClubTPR in 2013, but yes there is a good chance, visiting two parks is worth the cost to you of ClubTPR. To me, ClubTPR just isn't about getting those discounts for parks, it's being able to get to know about some of the TPR trips first, and saving a little money on the TPR trips, and getting some surprises in the mail from them. To me that is worth more than the $35 fee. But discounts to parks vary from park to park year to year.
  3. Fantastic pictures! I love the night shots.
  4. I'm looking into my third trip as well. And if anything, LeviaTHON sealed the deal that R&E know what they are doing. I mean how many times has a park just closed cause of rain? Not many if at all, and in not even an hour there was a back up plan in place. I mean I was looking at Texas/Midwest, but length of trip might be a deal breaker for me, but that just means I pick from the variety of other trips out there (ie Mexico or Mini UK if they get offered). But if there's a bash on the mid-west trip, I'm pretty sure I'd do that.
  5. Agreed. It was a great time on the TPR trip. The workers there, love what they are doing, and have a passion for this place.
  6. Would I do something like that for a Good park, possibly yes, but for Six Flags America, hell no. You're better off saving your money and spending the time at Canobie or SFNE. (Also have you conversely tried going to Maine? There's Funtown/Splashtown out there). But Six Flags America is not worth a trip alone. The only way I'd go to SFA again, is if I add it into another trip with multiple parks. I'm sorry that you are dependent on other people to drive, but I would consider talking to one of your friends, and do a driving tour of some other parks. (Off Hand, there's Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens, Hershey, Knoebels, Dorney, Great Adventure, all doable if you planned on going with a friend. And ALL of those are better than SFA.)
  7. Talon at Dorney yesterday afternoon.
  8. Agreed on that. But it's nice that Canobie is getting a new ride.
  9. Great TR. I stayed at the same hotel, and be thankful you were at the front of the building. The trains going through at all hours were quite annoying, lol.
  10. I think it's totally awesome how we all have different 8th ducky spots. That being said. I'm looking forward to seeing who is right, and if there are even 8 duckies.
  11. I agree I don't go to Six Flags for the themeing. While it makes some areas look nice, if it's not up-kept it just looks like crap. Again using Great Adventure as an example. Movietown: Since they've taken out Chiller, that whole area just looks dated and like crap. Batman's there, and it's still a good ride, but also on the same token the Batman queue could use some TLC. The Dark Knight, yeah the preshow gets boring after a while, but it's still a nice attempt at by the park to do something well. But I think Six Flags if they want to keep going down the themed route, needs to have each park look at what areas they already have, and work on them, and work on tying rides to those themes or if they are going to re-theme, give each ride a little something to go with the theme. Even if it's just some minor decorations in the queue. On the other hand if they decide to ditch area themeing all together, it won't diminish a ride. Also instead of themeing areas of a park, what if each ride had it's own type of theme? Would that make it better or worse for the park?
  12. ^I never laughed harder at captions of animals!
  13. Just went through and yes, it's the swing one I had counted as 8.
  14. Can I explain which picture I thought it was? It was one of the pictures of the swings. Not the one with the sign in it. One of the swings had an extra yellow thing on it, that does not look like ay part of the swing. If that's not the one, I should be back at my place tonight.
  15. Maybe what you saw fly off is what I heard. El toro started to make weird sounds Saturday as well. More noticeable after it had broken down. Maintenance was also sticking around quite a while after it back up as well. Also some guy lost his wallet too. Dollar bills were flying, lol.
  16. I agree with the 7 so far but I guessed 8. I'm on my iPad and no where near my computer to get the pics I saved.
  17. Favorite 2012 report was your report on the San Diego Zoo.
  18. Pretty much every ride you didn't like and it comes off that you kind of hated the trip. I'll keep looking at your report for the pictures, but to me with everything mostly being rated low, shows that you just have way to high expectations for everything, and really didn't take the time to enjoy all the quirks the trip brought along. But that's just me, and if everyone else loves your low ratings so be it.
  19. Great pictures, but why so much negativity for a great trip?
  20. On the first page of the thread there is information about sports teams/events that you can choose from for the draft. Read through and find one that isn't taken that is of interest to you And if your favorites are already taken, do eenie meanie minie mo
  21. I updated everything new in the quote, upcoming going to Great Adventure to do the Wild Safari, will most likely go to the park, as well since I can't pass up an opportunity to ride El Toro. I also think Dorney is going to be an upcoming day, and of course Knoebels, and one last Great Adventure trip in October.
  22. Ok, i'm going to be different and go for 8 duckies.
