  1. Not sure where to post this "update" but I received information today that the waterfalls that were not running in the past (on the mountain) are now running as of today. Also something to report, they have changed the "no loose articles" policy. On Vortex (the Arrow suspended coaster), you MUST bring on all loose articles. No you cannot leave anything on the station platform. If you've brought a backpack, you must place it in the car between your legs. For a park that is INTENSE when it comes to rider safety, it seems strange that they would do this. However, there has been an increase in thefts apparently, which resulted in this being implemented. Also, on White Water Canyon, you also may not leave anything behind. You must place it in the middle of the raft (apparently there's a pouch or something there to keep your items dry).
  2. No, that's The Bat. He meant that lady is Behemoth sized.
  3. That shot only made me laugh my arse off the second I saw the picture description . Great TR 307. I thought it was necessary to add this picture. It's at the front line for Behemoth. Obviously supposed to say "Preferred Seating Not Guaranteed".
  4. I took this picture when I was at the park on Sunday: http://www.flickr.com/photos/clewis4u91/2569444640/sizes/o/ I know the front of the train is cut off. I'll have to get a better shot next time!
  5. Speaking of cell phones on roller coasters.... I honestly saw someone talking on their cell phone as they were heading into the final brake run on Behemoth. She must've been seen, because for the rest of the day they kept on saying "no loose articles, this includes talking on your cell phone".
  6. Got back from a long 10 hours at CW today. It felt like forever but meh, on to the complaining to praising. CW sucks when it comes to controlling line jumpers. Something MUST be done about them. The prices, SUCK like usual. It cost me exactly $4.51 for a 44oz drink. Dinner was 10 bucks. I went to get a funnel cake as "dinner" cause I was craving one but turns out they closed 2 hours early. Nice service CW has got going on here. Now onto the good. I got on Behemoth 11 times today. I was very last in line and in the 2nd last train. Feels good to say this, but Behemoth didn't break down once today, sorta. I was going up the lift, and it stopped for half a second, then climbed up realllllyyyyy slow for maybe 10 seconds. It then went faster and everything was all good. I was heading into the final brake run and I noticed that they were now doing a complete cycle with empty trains. There was no downtime besides that. Also pleased to say that the back cars are now able to be sat in (if this hasn't been said yet). Behemoth ran all 3 trains even when it was raining. Only the first trim grabbed as usual. While going down the first drop, I noticed a hat was stuck on the track (not on the rails but on the B&M box part). I wonder if they would've closed the ride for that?
  7. Here's another media video shot this morning. I'm not sure if anyone outside of Canada can see it or not but it's worth a shot: http://videotoronto.citytv.com/?fr_story=be172df2820c7494d74512b817159ffd7fb40223&rf=bm
  8. Here's what a very reliable person said on CWMania (the same person who helped prove it's a 75 degree drop, not 85):
  9. Sorry. It would be better if they could just have an employee stand there and tell guests which trains they can go on. It would probably slightly decrease the wait times.
  10. Uhh I see them running all 3 trains with nobody allowed in the back car lol. Not only that, on one day they were running the yellow train completely empty. I'm guessing the yellow one is messed up.
  11. They let people sit in the back car when they're only running one train. The back train in all cars on SPPN was open. Sometimes they let them open, sometimes they don't. Not really sure why, but only the first trim is apparently working anyways.
  12. Disappointed people - 1 Satisfied people - Everyone else I don't know why they're not letting anyone in the back car but apparently B&M representatives will be visiting soon to see what's up. Perhaps you had a ride on the yellow train, or you sat in the front .
  13. Good to hear that . I've been on Behemoth only 23 times so far. I will be going to the park on Friday and I hope to get even more rides in!
  14. Hey thanks for the comment. I'm only 17 and well, clearly this is my first longer video lol. After looking at some of the footage I'm thinking wow, I was either zoomed in too much or too shaky, etc... Anyways, I'll keep this in mind for my next video. Canada's Wonderland really doesn't have perfect spots to film. It's not meant to be a professional video, just something I did for fun. And if tourists are looking at attending the park, I don't think this video would be that bad for them.
  15. Yes, it is complete! I have uploaded it to YouTube but you won't find it on there because it's above the 10 minute limit. But never fear, I'm always prepared. I have uploaded it to Vimeo. Here's the link: http://vimeo.com/1052047 Comment and enjoy! Oh yeah, it's 14 minutes and 28 seconds long, just letting you know ahead of time!
  16. I just saw this from a member on CWMania. This person stated that due to some technical difficulties, Behemoth is reaching top speeds of 130km/h (80mph). This person said that he asked the ride operator how things were going with the ride and that's what the op said. He also apparently stated that the trims are not working most of the time and the only one being used is the first trim (which is actually true). Also, apparently B&M reps will be flown in in the coming weeks to inspect the ride over faulty issues. I'm not saying this is true, but this is what I saw on CWMania. Don't shoot the messenger.
  17. The big problem with this ERT crap is that they didn't let anyone know that the ERT days have changed. They're not even on the official website!
  18. Who cares??? Just be glad they built you something good for a change, unlike the crap machines they usually construct up there. Personally, I don't really care about the drop angle. I used that as another example on how the park gives the public MISLEADING information. But this is bad considering that ALL season passholders got this letter stating that ERT would be on Saturdays in May & June for Action Zone (where Behemoth is).
  19. They actually split up the line into smaller groups of people (maybe 30) and took that group, waited, then took the next.
  20. They have changed things. They have a group that just wants to ride other rides in Action Zone (besides Behemoth) and they have a LINE of people who are WALKED straight into Behemoth's queue a half hour before park opening.
  21. Canada's Wonderland is the BIGGEST rip off park you will ever know! First they said the drop on Behemoth was 85 degrees. And now, my park insider (http://www.flickr.com/photos/clewis4u91/2457909256/sizes/l/) says that there's ERT for Action Zone on Saturday in May and June. Well well well, my visit to CW today showed how much of a rip off park this really is. They said that it was only Nickelodeon Central with ERT today and Action Zone is on Fridays. WTF?! I swear to GOD this place is going to find out!
  22. Yep! I rode Behemoth 3 times today (was only there for 2.5 hours).
  23. Canada's Wonderland Did you know that it would take 154,567,128 bottles of water to fill Splash Works? Did you know that the Pizza Pizza location on International Street in Canada's Wonderland sells more pizzas than ANY OTHER Pizza Pizza location in Ontario, even though the park is only open for roughly 130 days!? Did you know that Canada's Wonderland is the largest employer of youth in all of Canada? Did you know that nearly 200 000 funnel cakes are consumed at Canada's Wonderland per season? Did you know that the park's parking lot is over 3 million square feet with 10,300 parking spaces? It would be able to hold over 50 cruise ships. Did you know that Canada's Wonderland employes over 4000 seasonal staff? Did you know that there is over 3.3 million paving stones in the park?
  24. I would have to say Canada's Wonderland. There's an entire thread on this at CWMania. Apparently last weekend at the rope drop it was like "running of the bulls". A kid was trampled. Also people were apparently refused ERT with their season pass (even though it was a day where ERT was offered)! 3 hour line for Behemoth was cut off cause it was getting too long. I guess that's what happens at the #1 attended seasonal park in North America. CW really needs to step it up in terms of controlling crowds.
  25. Wow I just saw these awesome pics (some were posted on RCDB). http://www.ace24.org/photos.html http://www.ace24.org/photos2.html http://www.ace24.org/photos3.html http://www.ace24.org/photos4.html http://www.ace24.org/photos5.html
