Yes it's true. Iain is very trustworthy. He proved to us that the drop really is 75 degrees, not 85 as advertised. -

Yeah it was CWMania. It'll suck big time if it's down for this long holiday weekend! -

Just saw this on another forum: "Behemoth is shut down temporarly due to a gear on the chain drive being defective. The gear broke and needs to be replaced its unknown when wonderland will be able to get the part, so it maybe shut down for a week or so." -

Yeah I noticed that list too and thought WTF?! As soon as I hear any more info regarding Behemoth I will post it. I really hope this thing is up and running for next weekend. Apparently there were about 3 people walking around the area where the lift motor is held so I'm convinced that it's shot. -

I have a feeling the lift motor is shot... already. Someone said that yesterday the train was CRAWLING up the lift at about 10 feet per minute...... -

Wow apparently today was a very bad day for the park. A child was almost trampled to death by the crowd running towards Behemoth. A fight outside the front gates. Park opening time extended to 9pm but queues were closed off at 8:15. Behemoth breaks down for the rest of the day and possibly for a few more weeks. Wow, what is going on here? Looks like the park is having problems CONTROLLING people. -

Something is screwed up with Behemoth. Today the ride was CLOSED at around 3pm. No reason was given at the time. Someone at CWMania gave the following comment: "I work as a rides employee, and I can say today was busyy we were running cycles as fast as we could to get lines moving, like skyrider line was out of the queue line . I know why behemoth is down, but I cant say, all I can say is, it won't most likely be running coming weekend, and possibly weekend after that." -

On the call Dick Kinzel, Cedar Fair’s chairman, president and chief executive officer discussed the Company’s $88 million capital expenditure program for 2008, which includes five roller coasters, three exciting thrill rides and many new shows. The program is highlighted by Behemoth, a $21 million record-breaking roller coaster at Canada’s Wonderland. “I had the opportunity this Saturday to visit Canada’s Wonderland and ride Behemoth,” said Kinzel. “It was everything that I thought and hoped it would be.” -

While I have not been on other B&M's, I do notice that quite a few people have been having trouble with the restraints (and they shouldn't be). -

I rode Behemoth 5 times yesterday. Once in the very front row, once in the middle, and 3 times in the very back. I can easily say that the back seat is AMAZING. As thecoasterkid said, the first drop was AWESOME and your butt is off the seat going over all the airtime hills. I don't think the trims kicked in at all. I still can't get over that amazing first drop. Sitting at the back you just get whipped over the top of the lift and you are out of your seat the whole time. It is truly an amazing experience and I'm so glad that Canada's Wonderland has got a ride like this. I took a few pictures with my cell phone, not too much though: http://www.flickr.com/photos/clewis4u91/sets/72157604896732438/detail/ -

At first I heard that Behemoth was supposed to be ran by nobody except supervisors. That clearly isn't the case. But the ride attendants really are doing a great job. -

The employees had to really "prove" that they wanted to work on Behemoth. I think I remember someone saying that they had to write an essay on why they would love to work on Behemoth. From what I've heard, it was a very picky selection process. -

Yeah it was really packed. Just think though, those THOUSANDS of people, all have season passes. That's a LOT of money . I only rode it once and it was really good, but maybe next time I need to get a few more rides in . I was just really excited when I was posting that lol. The seats are so comfortable, I love it. I hope y'all can get up to Canada and ride this behemoth! -

The next week should be the bank days. The park is rented out to major Canadian banks for their employees and their families. -

Make that three people now . How can you claim it to be "home town bias" when they have in fact rode a lot of other coasters?
