  1. ^I think the dishes usually have to face to the southeast, right? We have (well, we will have) two big beautiful redwood trees on the southeast corner of the lot. They will be not be cut down, or if they do it'll be over my dead body. So my vote goes for cable.
  2. ^ We've only done drive-bys so far, but the pics on the internet MLS listing look nice.
  3. Those fish and chips were very tasty. And the leftovers just might feed me for the next few days. The only bad part of our visit was when after checking my ID, the waitress said "Wow you look good for your age" Yes, I am now officially old.
  4. ^ Yeah, I think Bavaria is what I typically picture when I think of Germany, but I believe you that there is a lot more to Germany than Festhauses. Someday we'll make it over there to see for ourselves all the different parts of Germany. Does the rest of the country have yummy food like that? German potato salad...mmm..mmm...good.
  5. Yeah, Grizzly really is a waste of wood. I normally love woodies, even bad ones, but this one is crap. Wally tried to warn me, but I insisted it had to be at least a little fun. Wrong. The only reason I can think of why they need lapbars on this ride is to keep people from trying to escape the boredom of it. We had a nice day though. It was fun running into Rick and Gwendolynne. I think PGA is a nice little park, overall. They just really need to tear down Grizzly and put in a real woodie.
  6. ^^ Great Lakes beer on tap in your own home...that may Wally's version of Heaven.
  7. Does anyone else see a frightening resemblence to Moe from the Doodlebops? http://www.doodlebops.com/Characters/moe.html Or do I just watch too much children's television? Really, it was great to meet you, we had a blast. That Fright Zone was pretty fun. I actually screamed out loud a of couple times.
  8. It was sooo great to be back at Cedar Point. I really miss that place. Except for the weather. Could have done without the freezing cold rainy crap. I got to ride Dragster!!! Yeeehaaaw! It's a pretty sweet rush, loved the drop, but to be honest I like both Millenium and Magnum better. It was really funny that it kept going down, then back up, then back down. We had such a great time!! Can't wait to go back. Is it time for Coastermania yet?
  9. Actually, that's me in the background.
  10. The TPR shirt will most likely be hidden under multiple layers of sweaters and hoodies. Just look for the idiots all bundled up in mittens, hats and scarves. We'll be easy to pick out. When Wally said the temps would be in the 50's I thought that wasn't too bad for the lows. But no, that's the highs! I'm SO looking forward to getting back to Cedar Point. Four more days!!
  11. I don't like the idea of having children on this show. It's not so much the physical challenges, but the emotional stress. It's usually fun for me to watch people fall apart and attack each other, but having to watch it happen between parents and children is a little less funny for me. Oh well. Even though they came in next to last, I like the Linz team to win this (the orange team). They seem to work together fairly well, and they're not afraid to take risks. And I'd really like to see those four annoying women get crushed by a random piano falling from the sky.
  12. I worked at Cedar Point one summer, and enjoyed it. I was a ride op on Ripcord (skycoaster). The people I met there were great, especially some guy named Wally. Most of the people there are in their late teens to early 20's, most of them live in the CP dorm/apartments. The apartments aren't much, they're very similar to dorms. It really is a lot like college, except there's less thinking and even more drinking. I say go for it! You'll have fun!
  13. Wow, you made that sketch yourself?? It looks just like a real audiogram, I thought you must have scanned it. I actually don't know too much about Buflomedil, I don't think it's available in the US. It's usually used to improve blood flow, so your doctor probably thinks you have reduced blood flow to the inner ear. So it's more likely a sensorineural loss, not conductive as I had assumed. And yes, it should be injected, unfortunately. I hate needles too, daily injections would be my worst nightmare. I'd be interested to see if it works for you. Sudden sensorineural hearing loss is tricky to diagnose and treat, most people never really find out what's causing it definitively. It sounds like you have a good ENT doctor though, so I'm sure you're in good hands. Hearing loss is no fun, I think many people underestimate how much hearing loss and tinnitus can affect someone. I really hope it gets better!!
  14. Thats terrible that you keep having this problem! The graph is actually a bit incomplete, it doesn't show whether it is a conductive or sensorineural loss (which probably means nothing to you but I have no idea what the words for that are in German) which makes a big difference. I would assume based on the configuration is that it's conductive, most likely fluid in your middle ear. What are they injecting you with? Antibiotics? Do they know that those come in liquid and pill forms? Well I hope it gets better, and hopefully it won't continue. If it does, ask to see an Ear Nose and Throat doctor (ENT) if you haven't already. Karen
  15. Normal hearing is generally considered anything from 25 dB and better. So the hearing in his right ear (on the left side of the graph) is normal with a moderate hearing loss in the left ear.
  16. Awww, sorry to hear that Soren! I'm glad you went to the doctor, sudden hearing loss needs to be examined right away. Many people wait a few days to see if it gets better, then it is sometimes too late. What did the hearing test show? I know a little about ears, if you have any questions, pm me. Hope you feel better! Karen
  17. I really liked Paris. It had a great ambience, and the room was relaxing and quite nice. It's also in a great location, right in the center of the strip, very close to Caesar's and Bellagio. We had a view of the fountains at Bellagio from our room! I'd definately stay there again when we go back. We had such a great time! Great food, great shopping, and it's the best for people watching!! Can't wait to go back!!
  18. This really works!! I learned this trick when I went to an outdoor wedding and saw dryer sheets tied to the backs of people's chairs. It seemed a little weird but it totally works!
  19. I never thought I'd say this...but hearing about the NYS Fair almost makes me miss Syracuse. Almost. Then I remember how bad that lake smells and I remember why I left. But I do miss the Dinosaur BBQ....
  20. Great pictures!! I miss Cedar Point....
  21. Someone sure does!! Yep, first your Mom, now your wife. It's an invasion! ps...that's my son up there, cutie huh? Almost as cute as his Daddy
