Not true, I am currently still Wii-less. But hopefully that will change tomorrow, we get to sell ours finally, after a week of sitting in the store. I'm a little worried, because a lot of people are asking when we are selling them, how many we have and all that other nonsense. I try to discourage as much as I can, without loosing my job, cuz you know it's personal now, I need to get my Wii, then everyone else can get one, no problem. I talked to my boss about what we talked about last week. He asked me what time I has coming in, I told him and he said see him then. He better not F'k with me, I better get my Wii or I'm gonna be reaaaallyyy pissed I would get there earlier, but I can only get there at 7:20, after I drop my daughter to school and they go on sale at 8:00, so unless I get a little "special" treatment, I aint gettin' one. Any way, those of you still looking, Wii-mart has them on sale tomorrow at 8:00 AM, don't be late and please stay away from my store.

I am a bit upset, I should have just waited at launch for a few hours and I would have a Wii right now. Now I'm not gonna get one until the 6th, my stupid store is so f'ing stupid it's unbelievable. I found this out yesterday, but I was too upset to even talk about it, but now I will share my story and please let me know if you agree with me and think it's a bunch of bulls**t. Here it goes. As you may or may not know I could have waited for a Wii at launch, but didn't. I knew that I had 31 more coming, I assumed they would be coming that following week. The week came and went, no Wii, I was really hoping for one for the holiday weekend, but no such luck. I thought for sure they would be coming this week, everyday I've been bothering the girls in receiving for the Wii, to no avail. Then Monday I found out that the Wii is gonna be in our flyer for next week and when they came in I would have to wait. Not too big of a deal, I waited this long, what's another few days, I will have it for the weekend right?.....wrong. They came in yesterday, all 31, so I got excited and was getting ready to put one aside for myself for the end of the day, if it was allowed. They tragedy struck, I found out that the flyer that they're gonna be in doesn't drop until Sun. and that it says available on 12/06.......12/06?? what the f'k? But that's not the crappy part, get this, they're treating this like a launch all over again. We got a e-mail from corporate that we have to hold them until the 6th and release them at midnight on the 5th with tickets and everything, are they serious? I have to wait in line, a la launch for a item that is no longer street dated? ....it would seem so. The ad says available on the 6th one per customer (duh) and stores will have a minimum of 3....that's right, 3......we have 31. I realize they have to cover their ass, but I think they would be OK if they sold like 15 now and saved 15 for the flyer and 1 for me. By all means don't treat it as a launch, are they gonna do this every time we get in more? this is crap!! Oh and did I mention that they are locked out of the register until the 6th, so you can't even ring any up, or so we're led to believe. I have the upc for the Wii, so I typed it in at the register and it prompted me for a serial no. so I don't think they are locked out yet. So then I asked my store manager if they weren't locked out if I could get one. I explained to him that the ad said minimum of 3 and the e-mail said most stores will receive 15 and we have more that enough for me to snag one now. ....................................................................... He said no and he assured me that they are locked out now, I don't know if I believe that, but what he says, goes. I still think the whole situation is bull. The only good thing, I guess, is that he said some how I will get one on Wed. I cant give out the details in case there is any other Wii-mart associates on this site, I don't want to get him in any trouble. But I assure you I have to wait every bit of 7 days. I'm still so pissed about it, every time I think about it I get mad. Don't get me wrong I'm not being a baby. It's just they there in my store taunting me and it's not like launch where I knew I couldn't get one yet. They're out on the market, I should be able to get mine now, ya know? I've been waiting patiently (not really) for almost 2 weeks now. God, I feel like Cartman, too bad there's no snow down here. I guess I'm gonna have to wait until Friday to get my Wii. I figured I would get them in last week, but I guess I figured wrong. Now I'm told as soon as they come in, we have to hold them because they are in the flyer for next week, so we have to have some in the store. But the flyer says minimum of 3 ( yes, 3 ) per store and we're getting in 31, so I could get one as soon as they come in, but if I wait until Fri. I can save an extra 10% on it, that's 20% in total......yippie I guess I waited this long, what's another 4 days, right. I wouldn't be able to really play it until the weekend anyway, well I could but I know I wouldn't really get enough sleep for work.

My store's not holding them at all, we just don't have them. Although, we did get more Wii-motes, nunchucks, classics and Zelda today?? But no Wii to play them on, go figure.

I didn't get my Wii yet, I worked on Sat and got off at 4:00PM, there was some kids waiting since ten that morning. I went out and talked to them for a while and told them I wasn't waiting, but would be back at midnight if there wasn't a lot a people there. I planned to call first, since I knew how many we had....well I called at 11:45 and they told me that all 29 tickets where handed out already. So needless to say I didn't go up there, but it's all good because I know that we are getting another shipment next week, probably tomorrow, I hope. We have 31 more on the way, so with any luck I will be knee deep in Wii tomorrow after work.

I think you'll be safe enough, but if you want to wait early, then good luck to you. BTW let us know what number you are when you get in line

I think if you waited untill they opened you could still get one, with 120, if that number's correct, but they might sell out of some of the games.

Yeah, I put our PS3 games out 2 days ago, nobody is going to buy them anyway, since everyone is going to sell thier 3s. I'm not gonna put out the Wii stuff untill Sat. the games have to share the case with the GC games and there's no room for them, so I am waiting till the last minute.

Yes Elissa, you have to wait until Sunday, sorry. Unless you know someone willing to break the Nintendo law, or stores that don't care about street dates, or they just don't know any better and slip up like they did when they sold the DS lites early. But other than that, every thing from Nintendo, controllers, games, point cards, are street dated the same as the Wii, sorry. But you can get SMBBB, or any other game you want right now!! except Excite Truck or Zelda. Cant Robb sneak a Wii-mote away from work for the weekend?? we wont tell

Not entirely true, the stuff from Nintendo, the Wii-mote, Nunchuck, Classic Controller, Wii points card, LoZTP, Excite Truck, are all street dated for the 19th. Which kind of sucks because we don't really have many of them IMO, only 28 Zeldas, only 4 Classics, 8 Wii-motes, but more are on the way. I might have to stash a Zelda somewhere, cuz I plan on strolling up there at midnight, and it will surely sell out. We had people waiting last night and we even told them we where only giving out 10 rain checks, because we had no systems coming....they waited anyway. We went from getting 11 to getting 0, then getting 4, which we got in this morning 2-20 gig, 2-60 gig and at least 15 people waiting as of now. Suckers BTW we are still waiting for 30 more Wii, I hope they come tomorrow or I am sht outta luck with getting mine. Then I guess I'll be the sucker.

Yup, just white at launch, just like the DS lite. They didn't want to complicate things for launch and also to punish those of us who get the system at launch. They will probably release a few different colors next year around the fall. It's OK, my Wii will match my Lite See, they have lots to choose from, all with matching Wii-motes.

Our Wiis came in today!!, at least half of them ( I hope ) We should get another 33 in the next 2 days. We got in 27.... OMFG I want to take one home right now, I don't want to wait, but we didn't get in LoZTP yet, so I guess I'll have to wait. I took a Wii out of the case, it was heaver than I expected, it's definitely heavier than the GC but not quite as heavy as the old X-box, but almost. No where near as heavy as the 360, I bet all the weight is in the Wii-mote, I hear they are pretty heavy. We got in some games too Happy Feet Rayman Raving Rabbids Madden 07 Super Mario Galaxy (yeah right) GT Pro Series and last but not least Red Steel They better get in gear and send the other 20 or so titles within the next 2 days. I got a few shots of the cases at work, I know, yippie They come 3 to a case, maybe tomorrow I will have a little more time to F' around and take all the pics I wanted to of all the Wiis that I can't have yet only 3 more days!!!!! Actually it says "White System W/Sports" See If you can make it out in the crappy picture of mine. it looks just like the DS lite box, but bigger. we are getting our playable PS3 tomorrow, but I just found out today that we are not getting any PS3s to sell for launch....... I guess with gamestop not getting enough for their pre-orders (again), Sony is shipping more to the places that had pre-orders, and not any to us at Wii-Mart, only 3 stores in our district is getting any, about 28 between them all. Oh well, good thing I didn't want one, I should still be able to get my Wii, we got half our Wiis in today, hopefully tomorrow we will get in the rest.
