  1. This screams awesome!!!! Great shot!!!!!!!
  2. I'm also surprised how well the cabin stayed in tact. None of the windows were shattered, or majorly distorted. It makes me feel better to think a survival would have been possible in something like that. Not likely, just possible.
  3. SOOO COOOOOOL!!!!!!! Seriously, this was a GREAT way to garnish more attention for Gatekeeper and keep the post-announcement hype going.
  4. With what a lot of parks have been doing recently with unique and interesting train designs, I wish they would have made the trains a little more sleek and futuristic looking.
  5. While still a toss up for me, as it's also too early to tell, but I might be *slightly* more excited for this than Outlaw. This one seems to be more on a massive scale. That promo video they did was surprisingly well done too.
  6. I feel like this coaster would be more interesting if it were in a mall in Southeast Asia or Dubai.
  7. Thanks to this video... I just learned what that meant too. Kinda douchy saying if you ask me, kinda fits the atmosphere of the park though. I think they marketed that well for their clientele. :/
  8. Great photos Hanno. Thanks for the hard work on this PTR!
  9. This seriously was one of my favorite coasters of the trip... and my stupid drunk:butt: caused me to miss out on ERT!!!! DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THE DRAGON BAR!! (ugh) But seriously, Winjas was AWESOME. If you don't know anything about this ride, leave it that way. Let it surprise you. You won't be sorry. I loved this park. I think it was my favorite non-Europa park on this trip. I love the rapids ride, I love the totally unexpected Intamin Indoor Drop Tower, I loved the messed up Night Hawk (which people told me was an indoor SLC, and actually believed them). All around this park was amazzzzing. Loved every hung-over moment of this day. Even the rain storm that flooded the restaurant. I miss this park.
  10. Just want to throw this out, I don't think there are any 'haters' on this thread.
  11. Don't get so worked up. The first point, I can't recall anyone who is giving their opinion of the ride ever debated it against Intamin. I think it's only the people defending the ride who ever brought up Intamin. Intamin, like you said, have their own problems, and no one who is saying anything negative about this ride ever brought up Intamin. In fact, I love to make fun of Intamin as much as I do B&M. Most coaster fans I know do too. Second point, I'm a speed fan. I like speed, which is why I hate wing-riders because most of the inversions are taken like a turtle. Everyone has their opinions and preferences. It's okay. Don't let it get to you.
  12. Just so I don't seem like the Negative Nancy of the thread, I really can't wait to see the skyline after this ride. Cedar Point definitely has one of the best skylines of any amusement park in the world, and the more they add, the better it becomes. I just love looking at it over the water. <3
  13. ^^ I think some of it might be comparatively, but I think the majority of the problems come with the style of coaster. The 4 out there right now are not always the most well received by enthusiasts. I think the one that does stand out is Dollywood, but again, it's location helps a lot. I think compared to the other rides in the park, this definitely won't stack up, but again, the reputation of this style of coaster matched with the recent reputation of B&M is what gets people worried. I'm just glad that this will suck up the wait times freeing up the other rides in the park for a few years! Next visit, I'll get my credit in, maybe a few more rides if I can, then move on to more rides on Millennium, Maverick, TTD, Magnum, ect.
  14. Yeah it was fine and all, but even that was another example of a B&M that left me un-impressed. Don't get me wrong, it's still a very good ride, but to me, B&M have been building things too big, and the bigger they go, the less force they have. I don't want to bring up a debate about B&M or anything, but they've really been lacking in the coaster department recently. There have been a few gems in the rough, yes, but the majority of B&Ms have just been so unimpressive. I miss the B&M of the 90's when they were building rides that packed such a front to back punch. In the past 10 years, I've only really walked away from maybe 3 or 4 B&Ms feeling "WOW!" I just don't think a wing rider was the best choice for Cedar Point, that's all. I know this will be a great addition to the park, and might be proven wrong here, but I just don't see it. The only thing good about Wing-riders are the proximity effect, which this doesn't have THAT much of. Two key holes, yes, but meh. I think that's where Dollywood did well, was the location. But overall, I just don't see this style of coaster lasting.
  15. The first drop is almost like a pretzel loop dive, but without the speed. I kinda wish that element had more speed on it. I hate the slow inversions that come with this style of ride. We'll see though.
  16. ^Their building kinda looks more like Journey to Atlantis to me, than it does a ToT building... especially the bottom half.
  17. I agree, though the list of new coasters is still short. We have 3 (White Lightning, Outlaw Run, and Gatekeeper) officially announced, but as of right now, yes. I agree.
