They are only downloadable as mp4 files. This issue with .iso files is the file size. The iPod files are only about 600-800 megs each, but an .iso of each disc would be about 4.5 gigs! If you figure that I'm eventually going to have our entire library available for download, well, that's currently 12 volumes of Coaster Expedition and 3 volumes of RAW, each being 2 discs, so if someone wanted to download the whole lot at once that would be 135 gigs worth of data! Unfortunatley the TPR store just does not have that kind of bandwidth power. It would end up costing me WAY more in bandwidth charges than the store would make via the downloads! It's a good idea, just not feasable right now in TPR's life. And $5 for shipping is not terrible. I know other sites that charge more. --Robb

California here we come.....
robbalvey replied to Chrissie's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Going to move this into the main forum and hopefully some of our OC locals can help out! (Chris, Dane, Jeff...) Have a great time Chrissie! Hopefully you'll meet up with some TPR members during our visit. --Robb -
^ One of my personal goals is to meet every single person who takes the time to post, read, and contribute to the site. If people are going to take the time to hang out here, I at least owe them the courtesy of saying hello and saying "thanks." Granted since the site is always growing that means I'll be meeting new people forever! It's one of the best things about running the site! --Robb

There are! I was actually planning on releasing a few of them a couple of weeks ago, but I got side tracked with getting Raw 3 and Vol 12 finished up. It's one of about three things on the top of my "to do" list so expect to see some new iPod downloads available soon! On another note - one of the reasons for the delay is I've been playing around with some new compression software and we have actually upgrade the current RAW iPod downloads. Now that the new files seem to be a success I'll be doing more! --Robb

Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride
robbalvey replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Dude, you really need to read our posting rules before you post or do anything on TPR again: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21962 I've already had to edit your avatar, delete one of your posts and edit another. If you can't follow our very simple posting rules, do not post here. --Robb EDIT - I've just had to delete ANOTHER one of your posts. Seriously, if you post again, and it's crap, your account will be banned. -

Credit Question?
robbalvey replied to Speeddeamon128's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Obviously there are no set "rules" for what you consider a credit. Some sites, like CoasterCounter.com will have coasters on the list that I personally wouldn't count, but if I'm on their site, I play by their rules. My personal count is different than my count on that site. For my personal count I do NOT count - - Relocated coasters (unless there is some kind of VERY signficant modification to the ride) - Dual tracked coasters where each track is exactly the same (Superman: The Escape for example, does not count as two, but Dueling Dragons does) - Powered Coasters (these rides never actually 'coast!') - Coasters that only have slight modifications (new trains, train turned backwards, effects added, etc) Note that I also did not count Son Of Beast again when the loop was removed, but I DID count Phantom's Revenge. - Coasters that have been re-built from the ground up but retain the EXACT same layout and ride experience (Space Mountain at Disneyland for example) - Water Coasters, unless the majority of the ride is a coaster experience (Buzzsaw Falls at Silver Dollar City counts, IMO, but the ride at Mt. Olympus did not.) - Freefalls or any other kind of drop tower -

robbalvey replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm little surprised no one has mentioned anything about what was actually on the disc, like the Flashback footage or the awesomeness that is the Myrtle Beach Hurricane. I thought people would really get a kick out of seeing footage of some of these defunct coasters. --Robb -
I actually think I may have LOLed the most at the white balance joke. Only because I wondered how many people would actually get it and remember back two years ago to the post you made. The fact that it was in there was such a great attention to detail, and it's one of the things that impresses me the most about the movie. If there was a TPR golden donkey award, you would get it! --Robb

Well, first off it's not a WiiWare game, it's a full retail product. And other than that I'm not allowed to say anything more about the production of the title as that is in the hands of our publicist at Majesco Games. I will say that some news will be coming soon, though! --Robb
