Good point. Well, regular weekly operations begin in a couple of weeks, and you can't really not have the season pass booth closed, so perhaps they will begin this week or next week. I doubt it considering the lack of work shown, but if they truley did start this week, it could happen within 2 weeks time. Anyone know more? Spring break is coming up (mine in particular is in about 2 1/2 weeks.

No, Deja Vu is still closed, and will remain closed until March 24th. It is currently in its annual rehab. I also believe that Flashback will be gone before Hurricane Harbor re-opens for the season because lt'll probably be noisy taking it down, and possibly a hazard to people in the nearby pool closest to flashback.

I have a similar view...sort of. I know basically nobody liked Psyclone, but I still don't like dissing it, because it was once a decent coaster (from what I've heard) and we still got a chance to ride it and experience something "different". Apparently its been crap the past few years but i think it still deserved some respect. Goodbye Psyclone, and hello new kiddie section. We still haven't heard any rumors about what Flashback's ex-spot will/would/can be.

I think its such a shocker to see such a big piece of history gone...well sorta. This is the first coaster Magic Mountain has removed since 1988 which was Shockwave, and it was IN THE EXACT SAME PLACE, and before that was Sarajevo Bobselds, in the exact same place...maybe that spot is just cursed. But I can't wait to see the Flashback dismantalation [is that a word?] process. But that picture was just eerie. R.I.P. Psyclone. lol This is, I Think, the first time I can say I've been on a coaster which no one else will be able to ride (if they haven't already)

Usually the color of the coaster corresponds to the name. A sidewinder is a snake, which has a faded red color. Now if X's or a SCREAM's names were an actual thing, or even in a thematical place [much like Knotts is] i'm sure they'd have different color schemes, but they are supposed to stick out, and look intimidating. I was however surprised when "Silver Bullet" was red and yellow, and nothing was really silver about it at all, howver, I think the red and Yellow make it look a lot nicer and it definetly fits into the theme of Knotts. Sierra Sidewinder will be a great addition, and I like the colors. Something a little different.

Lagoon Discussion Thread

About the two rail track: I thought the same thing. Of all the other rocket coasters I've seen, I only saw the two rail track towards the station where the brakes are. -
Well at one point those trims were probably useful. I was at frightfest on Friday the 13th October, I even saw the people who were riding Colossus for 13 hours, and I thought they were running all three of Psyclone's trains because I thought they were using 2 regular rider trains and one 13 hour marathon, train. But in order for the backwards to be possible, different trains need to be used. You can't just take a regular Colossus train and turn it around and make it go. Thats why Psyclone and Colossus have different train types. Didn't Psyclone also run backwards for a season back in the 80's? I heard someone state that.

Why would you even have an opinion on that if you haven't tried Viper out yourself. I personally don't have a problem with Viper. The restraints can be uncomfortable at times, but its usually managable. I also don't see it going anywhere. As for Psyclone, honestly, I hope people are joking if they're still saying that Psyclone may be burned...as much as someone may want that, it would never happen. Selling the wood would make sense since they need all the money they can get. I do hope that they at least keep the Psyclone trains and hand them to Colossus. They can race like regular, and then at frightfest, the usual backwards side can turn backwards again...unless that doesn't work, and then it can be a year round backwards ride. lol hey its possible.

Hey Stealth/Borg Assimilator was moved to a new location[new park actually]. It got a paint job, new name, and a little bit of theming, and so many people have commented on how much better it is in its current location then when it was at PGA. For flashback, even if its not changing parks, any fix up would do it wonders.

Yeah but wouldn't they use the already present metro track? Dunno. But i've said this regarding flashback multiple times, and it makes sense...you can't really get rid of the OTSR's...the clearance between a riders arms and the beams is minimal. The tights restraints keep people from raising their arms...however, the cars could definetly be modified, and the restraints COULD be more comfortable. I haven't been on it and I can't judge whether or not it was painful, but from other's retrospective, it would sure seem so.

Yeah. I've talked to people who've said that when they first when on Flashback, the lines were 45+ minutes. Obviously if they reopen it in a new location, it will get a major refurb. It would definetly get more attention, and more advertisment. Even people who have never been to SFMM wouldn't know about Flashbacks evil past and be willing to ride it.
