If you owned your home park (s)...
sam06pr replied to Tanks4me05's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Did you miss how many rides would be put if I ran the park???Most of these rides already lack "fun" such as sandstorm. Tidal Wave is just long and pointless. read again, some rides I would include as stated before: A huss Frisbee in the TBT area, More family rides in the Jungala area, a dark ride, a water coaster with a complimentary flat ride, a new ride experience in the egypt area or a carousel with an additional flat ride to take up the space and Tons of rides for children. That basically filled in the gap for the old rides taken out. Not to mention how many more coasters there will be and the line up of permanent shows throughout the park. TBT will still have the Desert Grill and the Sahara snack area with the 4d theater and cheetah chase -

Busch Gardens Africa: - Replace tidal wave with a dark ride in its placed - Re-theme Log flumes with animals - Put one or more family flat rides in Jungala (like a swinging ride, etc) - Expand more the 4d theater with a better show and theme - Take out water portion of Rhino Rally and just add a cave with animals - Take out Land of the Dragons and put a stadium for concerts, and big shows on the gwazi field (taking some space where LOD is) - Add an Aquatrax in the bird gardens area. Along with a flat ride and animal interaction. - Make a junior Gwazi for kids along with a few kiddie rides. - Replace the PTC trains of Gwazi with Millennium Flyers. - Take out Sandstorm, Scorpion, Phoenix, the 3 kiddie rides, and the carousel along with some games and the oasis snack area in the Timbuktu area and build an intamin launching coaster - Also put a Huss Frisbee in the TBT area. - Take out Kenya Kanteen and curiosity caverns and move the nursery slightly to make a new and big Restaurant with big restrooms. - Put the rhino in front of RR back to the veldt and buil anothe kids area with playgrounds - Take the crown colony and re-theme it to an Egyptian theme - Take out the old train station, along with king tuts tomb in Egypt and bring back the camels back there. - Make a unique dark and fun experience at the old pace where arkbar use to be, and make a new gift shop. Or put a big Carousel theme to Egypt with neat effects and music - Put a huge wall along the train tracks and 30th street (for god sakes) -Add more animals to the veldt. - Either take out Cheetah Chase and replace it with a new family coaster or Re-theme cheetah chase so the ugly supports do not show so much. - Re-model the Stanleyville stage with a permanent show. - Re do the sky ride station - Make all shows fit the theme - Better Gardens through out the park. - Better uniforms (both comfortable and more appealing) - And top it off with a new B&M hyper Extending out from the Congo Did I miss something??? lol -

I dunno, but I feel that the Norwegian loop may be too big. But then again I thought the same for Shiekra's Immelmann. -

Good catch, I was thinking the same thing a couple pages back but i didn't know the concept art was the same as air's. This whole thread could end up to be us all suckered by speculation. Yeah but the other website was down, unless they did that themselves...UGH! lol I would hate that -
TPR's first ever Hard Rock Park PhotoTR
sam06pr replied to jarmor's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Not only that but the Hard Rock people never got into the amusement park business until now.(correct me if I am wrong) So I am actually quite impressed by the work they have put into this park. It looks like it has an IOA feel to it, but a bit different. I really want to go!!!! -

People should not be saying that this ride looks tame. I mean these artworks do not show of the whole layout, and while the other B&M Flying coasters may have turned up to be tame, it does not mean that Manta(or whatever it will be called) would turn out that way. Just give BEC a chance, they seem to get things right with their coasters. -

No way! My friend told me the same thing. She saidshe "saw" a piece of art work by somebody "inside" the project, but I did not believe her. I told her that BEC usually sticks with B&M and not vekoma, she did not understand so I explained...but I guess this confirms what she says....maybe this is true -

...hmmm. I see grass in some pictures. does that mean that they are starting landscape already? I mean don't parks put up coasters first and then the landscape? -
The best Waterparks in the world
sam06pr replied to sam06pr's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah I thought the sam way about having a closed dwon water park on the list. I am a visual person too, so it is hard to see the parks being interesting, so I guess we just have to look harder for the pictures lol -
The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread

I don't know that much, but what are you guys talking about? I am so confused The cross-ties on the track are the little fin-type things that come up from the box track and attach to the rails. On Griffon and other dive machines, the fins are straight across along the top of them (as that pic shows). On this new track, the cross-ties indent a little along the top, giving a "V"ish shape. This is reminiscent of typical B&M track. However, the box frame of the new track is wider across than typical track, thus looking like dive machine track in that regard. So basically, this new track has the box track of a dive machine and the cross-ties of a dive machine. Hope that helped! OH YEAH!!! I see. lol. now i just feel stupid. -
So while reading screamscape I found this article www.otbeach.com/news/resorts-and-fun-activities--11/29-of-the-best-water-parks-in-the-world--460.html It mentions some unique parks around the world. I feel that this article may have gotten some facts wrong, but oh well. Maybe they should revise it to include Aquatica and that new one in the canary Islands Now what got me excited was the last park, which is "Las Cascadas de Aguadilla" (the water falls of Aguadilla) Aguadilla is my home town, well sort of, but anyways...I remember going to this water park when I was kid and it was the best. I even like it better than Aquatica for sentimental reasons. The best rides there are "rio loco" and "el cosmo". I remember never being tall enough for "la serpiente" and "el cosmo" and when I was tall enough I chickened out. But a few years later on got on all of them. Man that was fun and thrilling. "El cosmo" was so long and fun. I was going to go this past Xmas but it was closed. I wonder why since Puerto Rico has warm weather year round (average temp of 86 degrees) So I am already planning to go this summer see if I can visit and snap some pictures. Here is there website: www.parqueacuaticolascascadas.com/home.nxg Anyways. What do you all think of the article?

Which parks have gotten worse over time?
sam06pr replied to roland303's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
you know, sometimes smaller parks have to decide whether to expand or just be the same hoping it will not close. I guess thats why parks that are surrounded by growing towns and city, have to expand in order to keep up. I guess some are really just looking at ways to expand and forget what they are about. That's why I think BGA has done the best job of improving. Every time I go I see them remodeling something, improve areas, and new things pop up. They like to change, but they know how to change the correct way. They do not entirely focus on thrills only but rather animals and landscaping. I know some BGA fanatics think that Jungala was a waste of space, but I think it was a better alternative attraction, other than just coasters. I don't think they realize that coaster people are not the only ones to satisfy. With this new area, BGA added two more flat rides, and yes they are not big flat rides, but it's a start. So after this, they can now think of another major coaster that I am sure will not disappoint anybody. And all I can say is that BGA is on a roll and they need to keep it up, and I am making sure that my area does that with cleanliness and friendliness. -

I always saw pictures of this ride and I wanted to ride just because how old it was, and I imagine all the history behind it. I wonder if they could build an exact replica? I just don't think it would feel the same. I guess putting a new ride there would be heartbroken. -
