  1. ^ The Greatest Storyline Ever
  2. ^ It was the first weekend in 2004 (March 6).
  3. That is kind of the whole idea behind text ads like Google's AdSense. In my opinion, Flea, keep the ads. You have put a lot of work into your site and should be reimbursed for your efforts. In the end, the ads never make up for the hours of labor it takes to create a good site.
  4. Not a dumb post. Catrina and I want to know also. Anyone out there got any info. I know that they used to announce the date pretty far in advance.
  5. ^ Same here. I thought for sure that this park would pretty much stay the same. Guess I was wrong.
  6. ^ Glad to hear that you are still consuming. I would have almost felt guilty drinking a beer if I knew you couldn't do the same. .... Almost
  7. In my opinion there are a couple better Bad Religion covers.
  8. Here are a couple of my faves. Fantomas - Suspended Animation Velvet Underground (Obvious) Meatloaf - Bat out of Hell Beatles - Yesterday and Today (Definately the most famous) They Might Be Giants - Lincoln Slayer - Reign in Blood
  9. Although they are not really known for their flats, Kennywood's MAgic Carpet and Wipeout have been very respectable of late.
  10. If you are into "spookhouse" kind of stuff, I think that CoasterPunk (CAn't remember his real name) used to work at one real close to Knoebels.
  11. Excellent TR. Big congrats to Adam and Ellen. // Did anyone get a tye-dyed shirt?
  12. ^ Cmon ... This is Derek and Heath we are talking about! beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/1666
  13. Hiya! Better watch those "redneck" jib jabs. Good to see you drove through God's country. Looking forward to the rest.
  14. Wow. The kids are a growing up fast. Excellent TR.
  15. Don't know how long it has been since you guys have ridden it, but it is tracking pretty good these days. I think the people from last weeks event would agree. DEFINATELY ... better than the Cyclone.
  16. Space Invader 2 @ BPB // saying that just to piss off the people who missed the credit on the UK trip.
  17. Like Larry stated, the rides will be open Saturday Afternoon. Since the Covered Bridge Festival runs alongside PPP all weekend, there are quite a few people there. The website always say that the rides open at noon, but some of the ones in the parking lot can open as early as 11am. It is a very casual atmosphere. Knoebels doesn't have wristbands but instead uses a stamp. Keep a close eye on friends and enemys, because until the ink dries it can be used as a way to "brand" your foe for the duration of the day. There is nothing quite like having "Phoenix" stamped backwards on your forehead! Over the last couple of years, the nights at PPP have been VERY crowded. If you plan on riding a good bit, you will want to plan on either doing it on Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
  18. I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but Earthquake was in the building that now houses the Snoopy Boutique. It used to be a Bearenstein Bear play area in between. Earthquake and Pirate Ride were both Arrow Dark Rides.
  19. In the US, if the "Landmark" is privately owned, they can pretty much do anything they want to it. Example: Hotel Breakers at Cedar Point (Had it's Landmark status revoked after recent renovations and expansions)
  20. I am not the world's greatest preservationist but ... 1) Almost 70 years old! 2) Actually in good shape 3) Charlie Paige // wonders what the UK's new #1 coaster will be
  21. ^ My guess is that it is a little more "lo-profile". Seems like they are trying to take it down quietly with the least amount of resistence. I am sure if they announced it way ahead of time, the locals would probably freak out. They usually do.
  22. The breakfast isn't until 10am. The food court OPENS at 8am. To my knowledge, the Food Court is the only thing open that early. It is where most of the employees eat before they start their shifts. Pretty good food at a really good price. Can't beat it. So ... I am going to go ahead and put you down on the list. It would be killer to catch up with some BOTBC peeps.
