The Hulk is top-notch. It has many elements that make a coaster great: - It interacts well with it's surroundings (at least the first half) - Unique features (uphill launch) - Unique layout. There is no other B&M with the same layout - Good Forces (Unlike most of the newer B&Ms it has some good G-forces) and ... any B&M that has a second vertical loop always kicks ass.

Longest drop
CoasterFanatic replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If you mean longest as in time, then the Chance Toboggans have got to be up there. Other than that, the Matterhorn is almost all downhill. // The drop on a Toboggan is still not long enough to prepare you for that nasty dip at the bottom. -

^ It hits me in the knees. What the hell kind of mutation do you have down there? -
^ I agree but don't think the themes need to be as descriptive as the one you suggested. Make people think a little bit and let the cream of the crop rise to the top.

Regarding the time issue: All the times on the website are GMT (Greenich). Just figure out your time difference from London and then add or subtract hours in your profile settings. Here is a site that can help you find your zone in relation to GMT: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html -
There is no charge for Theme Park Review. It is more of like a "Gathering Place" for us coaster folk. // Don't think there is really a need to go back and change you posts. Wasn't trying to be elitist or anything ... just trying to help you out. Welcome to TPR!

^ I know Mission Space and Test Track have them, but I am not sure about Soarin. My guess would be yes. I will still be a Mission Space at 9:15 for anyone who wants to meet up early in the day. If you can't make it till later, and still want to meet up, send me a PM and I will give you my cell number.

Longest drop

Has to be the Beast's 2nd Half. The drop is sloped at a whopping 18 degree angle. -

^ If everything was calculated from sea level, would the tallest coaster in the US be the New Mexico Rattler or the Boomerang at SFEG? Great Report Paul! Glad to hear that your overall visit went well. I also noticed the loose article policy in full effect on my visit a couple of weeks ago. If I had thought about it, i would had warned you. While it might be an inconvenience, I wish that more parks would take such measures. It is another reason why CP has some of highest capacity rides out there. Since they won't let you take it on anyway, why not stop you from getting into the station or the queue with it. Anyone who has waited for the rediculous dispatches at some parks can really appreciate this. The station for Apollo's Chariot immediately comes to mind. That ride is a total mess, and when you get off there are loose articles laying all over the place. Personally, I like to take everything with me (why I love Disney so much), but if I can't, I hate to be held up by everyone else. // The power tower thing is a bit much though. I mean ... what are those shelves for? -
From my experiences: I have seen all the Paramount Racers race at some point. Overall they are about 50/50 Gwazi used to always duel (first couple years). Now it is a very rare sight. Lightning Racer nearly always races. Dueling Dragons nearly always races. I think I have been on it once where it didn't. The trains probably have to dispatch over a minute apart to not race. I don't think I have ever seen the Racer at Kennywood not race. If there is more than one car on the track, they better race ... or look out! Gemini usually races. It doesn't when they are running two cars (both on the same side). I have only been to Kentucky Kingdom once and only one side of Twisted Twins was operating. I have never seen Batman and Robin (Chiller) open at the same time. Have these things ever launched at the same time? I think it is kind of waste when these rides don't do what they are supposed to do. While Gwazi is designed to duel, the lines at the park rarely warrant it. Even with the slowest dispatches on the planet, the line is usually still pretty short. Even when the ride was good, there was rarely any huge crowds on it.

Yeah...another Sheikra video however...

A very crisp, clear and entertaining video. Some of the shots are held a little long, but hey ... it is a video of just one ride! Excellent Job. Need a Host -
Darth can read my mind? Nooooooo!

That would explain why you look so happy.

^ It did. The end of LAST season. I must have the saddest story regarding this ride. I went a couple years ago and got every credit (that I wanted) and then went to Viper. We waited about 30 minutes or so and get into the train and it wouldn't dispatch. Seems that some of the restraints just didn't seem to want to stay down. Oh well, I thought, there is always next time. // sometimes there is no next time

Ah ..... nothing like a virtual queue debate to really get the blood flowing. The worst part about the whole thread is that *almost* everybody's arguments make sense. The biggest problem that I see is that nobody can never seem to agree on any system. A system that works well for someone else doesn't always work for the other person. I mean, you have to please the locals, destination travelers, day travelers, road trippers, international guests, etc all with the same program. This is where I thought that the "old" Disney system was a real success. The only thing that I would have ever changed was the way resort guests could snag all the passes before the park opened to the GP. Don't even get me started on Qbot, Fastlane, etc....
