Knowing Dubai, this place will turn out looking every bit as good looking as the models and likely much better. They realise that the oil isn't going to last forever so this is their outlook on the future.
Not suprising considering they use the damn trim at the top of the first drop. Umm Griffon may take the rating but it's either MF or AC on the last row.
Another problem with a larger coaster on a ship = vibrations. But if a ship can launch a 61,000 lb F-14 from 0-180 mp. is under two seconds than it's all possible.
Cast members were telling me that it will open with the park and considering that it's almost 2,000 ft. shorter than AC, I can see it happening. Whether or not the scenery will be pretty, I doubt it.
Theming, no theming, theming, no theming, no theming, some theming, no theming, theming, the end. Truthfully, I'm happy to see coasters once again being built just to be fun.
It's possible... but stupid. The chain would be some disgusting weight unless it was a cable lift-hill, and in either case it would require a hell of a lot of land, unless the lift-hill was vertical... which wouldn't be fun to evacuate at 400ft.
Coasters with lift-hills aren't going to die, but I think the possibility of the tallest and fastest rollercoaster ever having a lift hill again is not likely at all.

Never said it was practical. But truthfully, does anybody ever think we'll see a 400+ ft. lift in out lifetime? A 400 ft. drop using terrain could happen but I mean the lift itself.
You may not touch the floor on Sheikra but there is quite a difference between dissapearing floor and no floor. You really feel much more free on actual floorless trains.
WEM has larger rides and an amazing Schwarzkopf, something you wouldn't ever expect in a mall of any size. MOA is nice but it's definantly something you could expect in a large mall.
Can somebody please tell me how this won't be better than Sheikra? For god's sake it has floorless trains, 1 1/2 the amount of elements, and IMO it will look much better than the "other" Busch ride.. What would you rather have, slow banked turns back towards the station instead of an immelmann? I really wonder what some of you were expecting out of this ride.
