Holy crap, is that only one chain per chair I see on the Wave Swinger, allowing the cars to spin??? The thing looks like would scare the sh!t out of me! Nice TR, I think I really like the skyride as it seems like the only sane ride at that park.

Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread
Ccron10 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I really don't think those footers would be for a Rocky Mountain Coaster as they seem too big for a wooden structure. The KI footers: Outlaw Run (RMC): Taken by Eric Bowers. Leviathan (B&M): Taken by CWMania. Intimidator 305 (Intamin): Skyrush (Intamin): Yolocoaster (Premier): Photo by Musketeer. The RMC footers are slightly smaller, B&M's footers could work as they can be smaller Intamin's in some cases and if so, then this could be a turn as the footers in a station and transfer area are usually rectangular in shape. I-305 uses basically rectangles throughout the majority of the layout, but Skyrush uses a majority of concrete columns, but I think these are smaller. If I were to bet, I'm thinking either a B&M or Premier since it looks like their coasters could both work on these kinds of footers. Once concrete is poured and the anchoring bolts are added, it might be able to tell us more about what type it could be. -

I have to agree. I know in the past they a few kind of stupid marketing ploys with Swarm and Thirteen, but I am actually very impressed this time around! -

The walls look like they need something, as they look dull and bland. I could picture some Gatekeeper wings or clouds on them. Then again it might just be that the landscaping is missing. -
Well, they already have $80,000 as of this afternoon; only $9,920,000 and sixteen more days to go. This project just seems so fishy to me with not a lot of details given and the charity being offered 1/18th of what the land is actually worth to buy the property. The Big Dipper probably has a better chance of being saved than Abiding Village getting FSMP.

(RCT3) Next-Gen Gardens Theme Park
Ccron10 replied to Ccron10's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Happy Earth Day! Hello again, I apologize that it has been awhile, but we had to make some changes around the park, but specifically to one coaster. To explain this, we'll have to take a look at some history of coasters over the past eight-hundred years. When I started figuring out the layout of Next-Generation gardens, I dove into the archives of many theme parks and companies of the past. One of the coaster designs I wanted to include in my park is the Multi Inversion Coaster model designed by company called Intamin AG, which was bought by Buy-N-Large in 2036 an it's name was changed to Intamin BnL. The coaster featured ten inversions and delivered an incredible ride, from what I read. I did some more digging and discovered the complete blueprints of the coaster model, then we got to work building the ride with the assistance of over 30 BUILD-E robots. After a time of two months, the coaster was up and testing, but the g-force results were so intense that even the test robots couldn't withstand the ride. We tried many different things, but nothing seemed to work so after a month, we decided to remove it and replace it with something designed from a company called B&M. From my research, B&M produced many high-quality coasters from 1990 to 2104 when the Earth was evacuated. BnL did purchase the company in the 2050's, but kept the name since it was similar to theirs. The end-result is a Mega Coaster type called Circuit. We designed the layout ourselves, going off of their blueprints for track-style and ride mechanisms. The track layout and loading station are completed, but we are currently constructing the gift shop, transfer area, and doing some work on the coaster supports. That's all I have for now! See you again soon! When we first built the Multi Inversion model, we wanted to make it interact with visitors as much as possible. Also, since the park is extremely considerate of the environment, we also made sure to include as many trees and shrubbery as possible. We also used highly efficient ride lights for at night as well. Towards the end of the ride, the train goes through a series of barrel rolls over the midway and between a pair of waterfalls. It also did two zero-g-rolls over the queue line as well. Unfortunately, the final barrel roll was the big issue for the coaster. It was unfortunate that we had to remove it, but it would be better to have a operating coaster instead of one just sitting around. So after one month, we removed it... ...and built a better one called Circuit. To get to the entrance, a new path had to be created. A gift shop and restrooms will be added along it as well. We also tried to remove as few trees as possible and re-use as much of the existing fencing and railings as possible. One of the things that hasn't changed is the idea of interaction with visitors on the midway. Are you wondering how I am able to get all these great aerial images? Here's your answer. EVE can also act similar to those helicopter flying cameras in the 2010's. -
Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread

According to HersheyparkPR's Twitter, it looks like water is now flowing down Hydro and Pipeline at Coastline Plunge: Also, several stands have been moved around to open up some of the area in the Boardwalk. Both Beach2-0 and Wurstburg Grill Limited were once over in front of East Coast Water Works. Now they are behind Tidal Force's drop. You can also see a Roller Soaker footer in the foreground. Mean while over at Chocolate World, more information has been released about the new Hershey's Great Chocolate Factory Mystery 4D Show. The show is being created by Jim Henson's Creature Shop and will be an extremely interactive show with over 100 possible outcomes to the story. A Behind-the-Scenes video has been posted showing parts of the show and how it was created: Link to the video on Pennlive: http://origin-qps.onstreammedia.com/origin/multivu_archive/PRNA/ENR/FX-MM97316-20130418-BTS-02.mp4 http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases-test/the-secret-is-out-hersheys-chocolate-world-attraction-will-launch-the-only-show-of-its-kind-in-the-world-203622481.html#prettyPhoto -
But still, that's really not something to be sarcastic about as it is a serious matter. If a child does not want to ride a certain ride, but the parent forces them to, the child could do something that would be un-safe to themselves. As for myself, it took me 14 years, but I eventually grew into liking coasters. Let your child choose when he/she wants to ride and be patient.

Nope. I enjoy it as well. This Intamin isn't for everyone though. love intamin coasters and It's a nice concept but this is one ride that I will never get on again. My opinion wasted space...... I can't say that I am fond with the theming in the concept art. It seems to generic and simple to me since it is just a bunch of canvas overhangs with multi-colored lights and that's it. The TV looks cool and futuristic, but other than that, it looks like a concrete plaza with canvas. Simply put, it looks tacky but fits perfectly along with the YOLO concept.

I'm riding it first thing tomorrow morning and will let you guys know if it's the same experience as last year. From what I've heard today, it sounds like it still produces an insane amount of airtime. -

Coasterbill, could you please edit your post to provide the source for your last photo since it's mine? Thanks! Anyways, it was testing today. It was running one train and they were sending out constantly. So the question is how different is the ride running from last year? The answer from what I'm seeing is that the lift starts out at full power, but dramatically slows once at the top. Because of this, the train looks like it flows through the layout at a slower speed after the first two hills. It still looks like it will still produce a kick-a$$ ride experience. You can see a video of it in action that I filmed, right here: It's alive!! Bwahaha.... Still takes this hill at a decent clip... Same with this hill... By this point, you can tell that it's running a little slower than last year. Even though the rest of the course is slower, I have a feeling it will still produce a great ride! To wrap up the update, they have given the candy height signs it's own little plaza. It looks tastefully done with it's brick path and matches the castle bridge in the background. -
I'm calling back seat on this one! I'm kind of content with what's being shown here as far as the lift slowing down once the train is at the top. It already looks like it delivers a kick-a$$ ride, but if the train went over the top at a constant speed, it does make me wonder if it could make it too intense (especially on the cliff dive).

Certain websites are banned because they caused trouble on TPR in the past. Anyway, Here are my own photos that I took yesterday. Station doesn't look different to me. -
Also, some of your turns, especially before and after the two corkscrews don't look like they are banked. I'd recommend taking out one of the corkscrews so that you won't need to take such a sharp turn and replace it with a banked S- curve instead. The setting of the park looks nice, but adding custom scenery to it would really brighten the place up even more.

http://www.hersheypark.com/rides/results.php?rh=99&pa=99&rt=2&rr=99 The names for the new water attractions have been released. Say hello to Hydro and Pipeline, which are going to use one and two person tubes like Riptide and Surge and the Shoreline Sprayground, which will feature a tipping bucket and plenty of shaded seating. -
I remember seeing one at the York Fair in Pennsylvania the last two years. I've been on it and from what I remember, it wasn't too intense or spectacular.

The Friends of the Hershey Trolley are looking for train tracks for their restored Miniature Railway train that used to run at Hersheypark from the early teens until 1971. Photo from their Facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Friends-of-the-Hershey-Trolley/202205043129935 I do have to wonder if this is a sign that it could possibly take passengers again in the coming future? -

Believe it or not, the park is already done! I've had a history of not finishing parks in the past, but I wanted to wait until I finished it to start a thread for it and showcase it. Glad that this one succeeded in that.
