  1. There's no doubt in my mind that Australia got an awesome Intamin. Too bad I'll most likely never get to ride it.
  2. As for a midway, look for something along those lines to pop up right down the center of the park (in the overview between Tempest and the new Deadwood Inn) Flat rides and water rides will be added next as well as a whole bunch of intricate buildings. "Deadwood Inn" is officially done. I themed the building to a three story hotel, and the cars load through the basement before climbing up to the higher floors. Here's some screens to show you the ride experience. The Screamworx pack is great, allows you to make some in-depth dark rides. Looks like the hotel owners happened to have a torture chamber in the basement. A poltergeist leaps from the fireplace! View from the loading platform, guilotine scene. Looks nice at night! I added the banner, complete with "vacancy" sign.
  3. I'm sorry, I meant to post this in the random forum. Could a moderator move the thread?
  4. Thanks for the comments ELZ, Yes the park will be posted here for download as soon as it is done. It will require RCT3+ *Soaked *Wild *Steelworx Pack *M31 Pack *Hangar Pack *Leftoverz Pack *Screamworx Pack More addons may be neccessary upon completion. The park will also include custom art/banners as well as mp3's of the park's and ride's music. Here's an update on what I did tonight... Deadwood manor (working name, Deadwood Manor sounds too similar to some other haunted house projects out there, in real parks and in RCT3 files, if anyone has any ideas for a good haunted hous ename, im all ears) Inside the ride, detailing has just been started. The DM area at night. Deadwood Manor haunted house, about 30% done. The overview goleafs asked for.
  5. The 2 games I"m playing right now are Hitman for 360 and New Mario bros for ds.
  6. Hey everybody, I gave my models some fresh paint last weekend and figured it was time to show recent progress. Thanks to my girl for letting me use the camera of awesomeness. Representin' SoCal. Tatsu's finally got a train. Still so far from being done... The Swiss would be proud.
  7. Phew... Geopanic is safe. Looking forward to yet another weird coaster to add to the list.
  8. Wow, the scariest thing at a theme park... ever.
  9. I REALLY liked SFMM's Deja Vu, I just hated the restraints. The ride itself wasn't all that rough and vertical inverted drops are just sinister!
  10. That 4D looks awesome, keep up the good work.
  11. I went to SFMM on a Saturday in May and they cut the line off an hour before the park closed. It was about 2 hours all day, so I'd say it was still very busy by closing time.
  12. A little update showing how Tempest has been spruced up. The brown building behind the airtime hills is the tunnel entrance to the area that is home to Vision, Evergreen Scream, and soon a water ride. Some work has been done on the flat spin's supports, more evergreen trees are being placed between this area and the Vision. A trainfull of riders climbing to the top of the 160' tall coaster. Inside the queue house. Over by Tempest, the coaster seems to be a big hit! First off, work on the Vision's surrounding area is almost done.
  13. I've gotta go check that Whirlwind out! I've yet to ride a Maurer spinning coaster and I believe the park i sabout 4 hours away.
  14. 7-4-06 Yesss, time off from work and got an hour in to fix up the Bolliger & Mabillard Dive Coaster. I wasn't too hot for the colors either, I was trying to give them a natural look to blend in with the rock faces. I found a new color scheme and I think it looks better. Still natural looking, and will blend in with the Native American theme the coaster will have. The station is themed as a timber processing plant, and a log flume will share the area. Other rides in this area will include EVERGREEN SCREAM - a drop tower. Work has been done on the surrounding mountains and the area that will eventually have a HUGE, massively detailed dark ride. The dive machine is inspired by Dollywood's Mystery Mine, but I think it's different enough to be interesting. Check out the vertical drops on that baby! What do you think of the new color scheme? Thanks for the idea GoLeafs! A dive machine really worked well in that area. Expect theming soon. Signature shot! It was said years after the plant shut down, lumber carriages continued to plummet down the cliffside. Some say the fact that the plant was built on indian burial grounds is responsible for the weird happenings. The log flume has been started. The lumber processing plant which was abandoned due to paranormal activity. This building serves as the loading station for The Vision. Making mountains of molehills...
  15. E-stops on lift hills are fairly common, if the ride was stopped because of someone removing their seatbelt, I wouldn't say it was a breakdown. I'm pretty surprised they would tighten bolts while people were still in the coaches, why would they do this if they stopped the ride because someone took off their seatbelt? And to answer your question, yes I've been e-stopped on tons of coasters. The worst was the Vekoma SLC Mind Eraser at SFNE, no floor to speak of under that lift hill.
  16. 1 ) Superman Ride Of Steel (Six Flags New England) 2 ) SheiKra 3 ) Tatsu 4 ) California Screamin' 5 ) Nitro 6 ) Kraken 7 ) Millennium Force 8 ) Dominator (Dorney Park) 9 ) Rock 'n Roller Coaster (Disney MGM Studios) 10) Alpengeist
  17. They're replacing the coaster that goes through the weird tube sections? That coaster looked fun, never knew they closed it. Oh well, hopefully I'll be able to see this new coaster for myself next september.
  18. 7-3-06 Something new is coming up at the bottom of the chasm... I don't want this park to be crowded with rides right next to eachother, it will have a woodland theme, with thrill and family rides spread out pretty good. I decided to take the suggestion from one of the posters and go for the B&M Dive Machine, yet to be named. The coaster dips gently out of the station, goes through a zigzagging turn over the top of chasm before diving straight down to the Arcadia River below. The ride's lift hill is towards the end of the coaster and is concealed in the canyon walls. It should be noted that this coaster will be very heavily themed, but the theming won't be worked on till next time when I finish the supports/details. The Dive Machine's overbank turn follows the first drop. Dive dive dive! The 250' drop blends in well against the chasm walls.
  19. It's a type of floral craft wire that's bent and cut into sections. They're painted afterwards to seal up any seams. The supports are made from the same wire, but usually with a wider gauge. The grass and trees are hobby turf.
  20. Florida's Tower Of Terror is my favorite followed closely by Indiana Jones and the Temple Of The Forbidden Eye. I'm also a really big fan of test Track at EPCOT.
  21. I posted these pics a couple months ago om this site, Screamscape and sfne.com have had articles on my models too. I've never actually even been to the Thrillnetwork boards, for some reason I can't access their website at work where I do most of my TPR reading/writing.
  22. I'll show you a better view of the trains next week when I get some new photos taken. Tatsu has it's train attached and SheiKra's is next. Tatsu's is positioned on the first drop, SheiKra's train will be positioned on the lift hill, but the model itself is far from finished and has some things that need to be fixed up. You can see Kraken's train in this photo (barely!) but it's coming up into the midcourse brakes. New photos will show better detail.
  23. I'll get some new photos once I get a hold of my girlfriend's camera, all the models have been spruced up/or are nearly done so I can start other projects. I have an older photo that shows the size though... (PS SheiKra was a MESS in this photo, I almost trashed it before I sat down and rebuilt most o fit, it look sharp now!) My BIG project... it's been in the works for years and will never be finished as long as the park keeps adding new rides. When I first started Tatsu... That's a quarter in the pic to compare it to. They're pretty small.
  24. I stay at the red roof in princeton, nj. I'm actually going on the 17th and probably doing that again. Can you believe this beaches closing down due to tax issues and the whole nj govt closing stuff?? I hope to hell Wildwood's beach is opened.
