  1. Thanks for that TR! MA is a park I didn't know a lot about (except for Shivering Timbers). Off-course I could just look it up in the Park Index, but that's a lot to read in once!
  2. Same here! Love that coaster!!! Verry curious for El Toro this summer!!! From what I read here, it is even better! So I expect so much about this ride!
  3. ^When posting info, make sure it's correct! Cobra is down because of a flood, this winter... And will reopen before july! Vampire and Loup-Garou are still open! Turbine is closed (for 2years now) and will open again next year! Still, the history of the park is very sad! But the reason why the mega coaster and the GIB never came to Six Flags Belgium, was because of the neighbors complaining about the noise! GIB was replaced by a normal Boomerang. And the Titan (megacoaster) well... I guess we got Challenge instead! Vertigo was a big mistake... But the biggest mistake is, they didn't replace the ride with another coaster!!! Well, let us hope after Asterix Park is getting a brand new B&M roller coaster, Walibi get's one to (or an intamin). Otherwise, go to Plopsaland indeed, it's good for my paycheck!
  4. I went to search the chained oak last year. I asked some guys from the staff, and they didn't know of it's existence! After 10 minutes they found some older guy who lived in the nearby, and he was the only one who knew it! Then we came to hear the oak is only a mile maximum away from the park. Very nice to see the thing real life!
  5. I don't say it will not be a good ride! And if the speed aspect is covered, the ride will be amazing So you may be verry thankful indeed! Gerstlauer is a great coasterbuilder!
  6. Seems a lot slower than Anubis The Ride in Plopsaland Belgium (same layout, but launched!) I'ts a great Layout, but it needs the speed...
  7. If this is the fact. I'm going back to one of my favorite parks!!! Hope it is The park itself is a reason for a visit... But, the more reasons,... I didn't hate thirtheen! It's a verry nice coaster. More a chill kind of nice... The problem wasn't the coaster, but the campaign...
  8. And what about September Saturday's? We are going to visit the park for 2 days! September 17th and 18th... Should we take a Flash Pass on Saturday? What would your advise be? Love to hear the crowds are low on September Sunday
  9. Nope, no one can. The First 6 Seats and the last 4 are forbidden... This was the case in 2008 an 2009 when I visited the park! It's very odd indeed! This would be in case the train stalls in it's cobra roll, the evacuation platform would be to small. So I long for a frontseat ride in September
  10. Sinds we are talking about Deja Vu, I hope it will be running in september as well. I've been on Stuntfall (Spanish Deja Vu). But the ting is, in Parque Warner you cannot try the first or last row... Due to safety So I Would love to try the ride up front. Hope the one in Magic Mountain will be as nice as in Warner Madrid!
  11. Such a nice ride... Air @ Alton Towers Is my first Flying, this year i'm coming for you TATSU
  12. I still think Coaster Express - Parque Warner is worst! Have ridden the 3 worst coasters in Europe as far as I see it! Lucky to be riding the best woody in the world in september
  13. No, I live in Belgium, West-Flanders. From Amsterdam it's not such a far way to drive! The site mentions that Fata Morgana is closed for rehab. But there is no mention about DVH! Normally Pyton is closed from 29november until 28februari. But sinds DVH is closed it seems that Pyton is running as a compensation. In the winter it's too cold for Pyton. It would stall. Sinds the temperature was quite good yesterday, it was operating. Maintenance date's are found on the site. I don't think I can post any direct link to the site. Sinds I don't have 50 posts... So I am sorry. But if you go to the efteling site > "het park" > "Attracties" > "Attracties in onderhoud". There you find the closed rides.
  14. Hey, me again, with the report of yesterday! I am very disappointed to say that our day was kind of a bummer. When we arrived at the park after a 2,5h drive. We saw (after entering the 10euro expensive parking lot) that George and the Dragon AND The Flying Dutchman would be closed for today! According to the site, both attractions should be running today. Except in bad weather conditions. It wasn't freezing at all, and the rain kept out as well! still you pay the price of 29 euro's to enter the park. (Even if you know that together with 2coasters down, there biggest darkride "Fata Morgana" is closed due to maintenance. 3 major rides down. As a compensation they opened up Pyton (a VekUMBAK, best combination ever ). That's WAY better than a GCI woody. The worst part is, around 3pm the trains on the woody stood still in the station, ready for the next day! The park had 5 more hours of operation to go... Open it up!!! And everybody is happy! Didn't happen. As an extra, one of the 2 Pyton trains was removed off the track due to mechanical failure! As far as the crowds go it was a nice day. All rides had a 10 to 20minute waiting time! And many people where going to see if the new ride wasn't open... So actually we picked the worst day out of the season to visit the park. As this is not the normal way of operation in Efteling! I think i'm going to visit the park again in march, hopefully with more success on the 2 latest rides!!! (and by then Fata Morgana will be open as well). So as you can see, not only Six Flags parks have bad operation day's I hope when you visit the park d_gil72 you will be more lucky then we where!
  15. According to the website, there won't be much crowds! So I don't think there will be any lines! I will inform you wen i got back from Efteling how it was
  16. It's possible. But i would visit Toverland in the weekend if Troy is your biggest reason... Because it will be open more often/longer. Your planning is possible to do! That's a fact! The parks are not such a distance away! I would absolutely go with the plan. Troy is a verry good coaster! And Toverland itself is verry nice as wel... Efteling has some amazing rides. Pyton will most likely be closed! I planned George and the dragon this saterday, havn't been on it! So, i hope you will have a nice 2 days!!!
  17. The site says: The flying Dutchman is opening the 19th of February. So it's open for the weekend according to the website. I hope It's true. I'm going there on Saturday, and it's been 3 years. I would like "DVH" to be open. Obviously the REAL reason for my visit is George and the dragon. It will be nice to do some coaster riding in the off-season!
  18. Can imagine that Here we have Typhoon in Bobbejaanland, it's quite rough as wel. Maybe i was lucky to ride Saw in it's opening year only! And maybe the coaster wheels can play a part in this. If i compare Saw to Anubis: The Ride. They both are quite intense! Still Anubis runs very smooth. Both are Gerstlauer Trains of the same age... But still i think it was a great addition to the park!
  19. Finally isn't the way I would say it It will be 3 years sinds Saw: The Ride when this coaster opens. And I think Saw was a decent investment! A big ride every 3 years is a healthy way to operate a park.
  20. I think Vertigo @ Walibi Belgium is a rare credit... Although i rode it over 50 times It's my only rare credit as far as i see it...
  21. Wel, let's make a top 5 then 1) Expedition Geforce 2) Colossus (I'm looking forward to El Toro next september!!!) 3) Stuntfall's Vertical drop (gives me the creeps over and over again ) 4) Oblivion (biggest Dive Machine yet in my list) 5) Goliath (Still great Airtime) Not verry spectacular, if you compare them to some members... I had a hard time making this top 5, never really taught about it before... Not one of the 3 Euro-fighters ridden in it! Because I love vertical, but 95-97° doesn't do it for me...
  22. I had a Lapbar opening during the ride in Walibi Belgium's (Six Flags Belgium) "weerwolf" or "Loup-Garou". This happend a few years ago. It happend a lot of times in that year to other people as wel! Ever sinds, they changed the lapbar mechanical system on the ride (about two years ago). I think it was a production failure, because last year, the replaced the restrains on the Vekoma Woodie in Walibi World as wel! (SF Holland). It happens sometimes on a Tivoli Coaster to! But most of the time, it's someone I know who smashes the pin on the side of the car... These are all pure mechanical Lapbars, never had a failure on Hydraulic Lapbars! (Like the new one's on the Vekoma Woodies in the Walibi Parks).
  23. 20 Minutes: Bellewaerde Park (homepark, where I work as a student) 50 minutes: Plopsaland (mainpark of the plopsagroup who owns Holiday Park now.) 2h: Bobbejaanland 2h: Walibi Belgium (AKA Vekomaland) 2h30: Asterix Park 2h30: Efteling 2h30: Walibi world 2h30; Phantasialand 2h30: Disneyland Resort Paris
  24. Sadly but True! It would be a Boomerang Coaster in Bellewaerde Park Belgium! A small park, only about 15 minutes away from my home. I work there as a job-student. (I once saw myself on a TR posted here ) So why is it my home park, that's easy. We run the fan site, a lot of my friends work there, and all the personnel comes along very good! Good times... Boomerang is the biggest coaster @ the park out of two... Sad Isn't it?
  25. Space Mountain (the original version) in Disneyland Paris. I was at the age of 10, it was the year 2001 Obviously the second one was Temple of Indiana Jones-Backwards.
