  1. Wow, this thread was totally awesome and I enjoyed it so much...if anyone wants to meet up still i may make a visit up there
  2. That's a nice looking shirt you wore to the park. Supporting Pizza Port...woot woot. So whats the deal with passing out derek? Black Mamba just looks insane with all the tunnels and foot choppers...good stuff and glad to see you made it back.
  3. Here's mine including reloacted also, Wilde Maus (BGW) Wacky Soap Box Racers (KBF) Windjammer, Red and Yellow (KBF) High Roller (Vegas) Scorpion (BGT, soon to be a big paper weight) Flashback (SFMM, already a big paper weight) Lightning Bolt (Vegas, inside and outside versions) Spellbreaker (Legoland, CA) And every thing else at SFMM once that parks is paved into a giant concrete slab for a super parking lot coaster
  4. I'm actually studying to become a roller coaster designer, well more like the land surveyor for coaster sites. I have designed numerous amounts of rides on Scream Machines and have posted them on other websites. Designing roller coasters has been my dream since 6th grade. I know, I am a nerd but aren't we all?
  5. Of course this is all assuming that SFMM will still be open next year and not a bunch of cookie cutter houses. I think you should try and go to Knott's...it may not be the best park but the rides there are still really fun. And if SFMM is clsoed you can always just go to SFMW, since you are 1/2hr away from it. Best time to go to SFMM is mid May...No lines and the schools aren't out yet but you can still get on everything that's "open"
  6. This past weekend my buddy Ryan "Silent K", Kristie and I all traveled to Six Flags Marine World and toured downtown San Francisco. The trip started off with a little bad news...Ryan King wasn't going to make it. Well that's not really the bad news, that was the good news. The bad news was that I-5 was shut down due to a fire... Yeah, pretty intense...so "Silent K" and I had to take a 2 hr detour but at least we got to see some sites, and plenty of desert Hello Scandia Screamer, I saw you yesterday but we have more important places to go this weekend Here's just a few of the 5 million wind mills that were out in the middle of no where between Barstow and Bakersfield After picking Kristie up in FresNO we finally headed to our 5 star hotel Here it is...complete with air matress, wood floor, and one bathroom Here is our wonderful hostess Megan who hates pictures being taken of her (can't you tell?) The next morning we headed off to Six Flags Marine World (after trying to wake Ryan up for 2 hrs...lazy bum) Here it is, the soon-to-be best Six Flags park in California A view from the parking lot. This is definitely a parking lot park since half the rides rest on the parking lot The gang...me, Kristie, and Ryan "Silent K" Hey look, everyone's getting married and they all are wearing tuxedos Dont worry kids, this is a baby seal sucking the milk out of his momma The park was pretty dead all day but we decided to hit the roller coasters up first, just in case it got busy in the afternoon. First up was V2, Vertical Velocity Yeah, I'd say it's pretty vertical Except for the front spike. I actually liked this front spike better cuz you are weightless for a lot longer. Plus, if you sit in the front, you haul going through the spike backwards Next was Meow...I mean ROAR Going up zee lift hill It's not the best GCI woody but the first two drops are just insane, still a great ride Here's a palm tree, with Meow in the background Second drop goodness Six Flags Marine World had many things to offer other than just rides. It had tons of animals... Like crazy looking minature monkeys... ...baby foxes that freak out when you take a picture of them... ...animals that suck your blood... ...long, slimey snakes... ...and insects that still scare that poop outta me. This is the closest I got to the spider glass because the Tarantula jumped at Ryan as he was looking through the glass. AAHHH!!!! After playing around with some of the animals we decided to go back and ride some more rides This is Hammerhead Ryan is still sleepy after sleeping in 2 hrs past the alarm While Kristie and I are ready to ride Ever wonder what happens when you go upside down? Here you go Ryan is still asleep After the Hammerhead we were hungry because that ride pretty much scared the poop out of all of us so we needed a refill So I had some world class chicken from the barn across the lake This is for all those croc hunter lovers out there...we will miss you Steve Irwin Crickey! It's a Tazmanian Devil...Grrrrrrr Next was Kong. Why? I still dont know...my ears are still bleeding And let the ear bleeding start After we all went to the First Aid station after riding Kong, it shut down for the rest of the day...bummer it didnt shut down before we rode it. Next up was Cobra, a really loud but fun family coaster See? Doesn't it look fun? Hey, we're having fun The kid in the front with his hands up is having fun For those of you that dont know, this is a Tiger. It's a really big cat He was hungry so he ate off Kristie's hand Notice the sign...you may get wet or sprayed. What's sprayed you ask? It's when the Tiger turns his butt towards the crowd and pisses on us. Yeah, some little girl got it all over her. Pretty entertaining but I bet she hated the smell of it the entire day. So we heard that the shows in the park were pretty good. I'd have to say they lived up to the hype. I really liked the dolphin show so we decided to check out the Sea Lion show Here's one of the actors of the show It was getting late so both Ryan and Kristie passed out before the show started But then we decided to buy Kristie cotton candy and after she finished the whole thing in 10 seconds (yes 10 seconds) we regretted our decision Oh look, a hairy, wet rodent Now I save the best coaster in the park for last. Medusa Dont be hatin I get to ride the best floorless parking lot coaster in Vallejo Seriously though, Medusa is a crazy ride and we all enjoyed it very much Even if it was in the parking lot The only downside of the park was that there was an evil hot russian lady that wouldn't let Kristie and me on the kiddie coaster. We even tried to kidnap a kid but it did not work Damn you evil hot russian lady for being so evil and hot So after a long day at Marine World we decided to travel to downtown San Fran. It was nothing like I remembered it when I went way back when I was 8. The night life was very cool and the sunset over looking the Golden Gate was awesome. Aint it purty Golden Gate Kristie pointing to Alcatraz Downtown at night One last pic of the sunset, Kristie and I AFter we hit up some grub at Pier 39 we finally headed back to our 5 star hotel The Bay Bridge The next day we were releaved that the fire wasn't near the I-5 so we were able to take it down and cut off 2 hrs out of our 8 hrs drive...SCORE! Although the fire was still blazing near Six FLags Magic Mountain. All in all it was an awesome trip and Six FLags Marine World is a great park. Hope you enjoyed the report
  7. Yeah, dont worry Ryan you didnt miss much...except for there being no lines at all the entire day, an evil hot russian lady not letting me and kristie on the kiddie ride, a tiger pissing on a girl and much more. Ill post a trip report soon so you can see what you missed. And i found a perfect place to throw you in front of ROAR
  8. Yeah, I pretty much walked down the strip and rode SPEED for about an hour just to get my sanity back. I still think SPEED is the best ride in Vegas (now that Lightning Bolt is closed)
  9. Yeah, did it and got stuck on it. Has anyone been dangled over 1,000 feet above the Las Vegas strip spinning and spinning for 25 minutes waiting for a mechanic to arrive to fix the damn thing? I think i got you all beat on that one. The one ride i never wanted to get stuck on...and i did. I pissed my pants and it rained over the strip that day
  10. Yeah Ryan, Kristie and my buddy Ryan "Silent K" are going to be there. After I'm done throwing you infornt of ROAR Kristie will throw you in front of Medusa...and then my buddy "Silent K" will throw you in front of Kong. Since we cant tackle you we might as well just throw you infront of rides...seems to work the same way
  11. Ryan, Ill be there Saturday so if I see you, you better run as fast as you can cuz I'm gunna throw you in front of ROAR...just a little warning buddy
  12. Ghostrider wasn't too bad this time around. I have been on rides where I could only ride it once cuz it felt like I broke a rib. This time we sat in the very front and the middle and the middle is the best place to be. The back, even though the drops are crazy back there, just beats you around like a little rag doll...Here's a hint, dont put your hands in the air...just hold on for shear shakiness
  13. The final picture that is for all those desktops that are naked and bare...please cover them. You can post replys now...thanks....
  14. Thanks for waiting to reply guys...you are awesome! After the ladies, it's on to more whoring My friend Jackie was in the neighborhood so she decided to meet up with me and ride the coaster one last time It also had a pirate ship...but I was here for the coaster, not the other rides The pier also had a freefall drop ride thingy...I wasn't going to be going on that today Cuz it has a helix of death it takes at 10mph So here's the Santa Monica West Coaster, the best coaster on the credit whoring trip...why you ask? For those of you in the MidWest...this is a beach...i live 2 miles from one! Don't be hatin After lots of water and Sprite, I finally stumble to Pacific Park Booo! I'm a seagull and if you feed me, I poop on your car So the next morning I realized I was close to Santa Monica Pier, and why not get that credit while I'm here I may have taken it a little too far We whored all day so we had to celebrate So what's the best way to end a day of credit whoring? Grub and Grog And I leave you with this final picture from Knott's...Silver Bullet Ooooo, freaky colors and squeaky coaster YAY, i love Ghostrider at night cuz it's so crazy This is Ghostrider at night...can't you tell? Ghostrider, used to be my number 1 wooden coaster. Still a good ride and still in my top 10
  15. So here are the fine ladies we met at Knott's and got some "other" credits Got a little Captain in you? I'll just get me some pearls off the necklace...I was hungry This time its the lay between the ladies with the leg on one shot Since Xcelerator was closed I'll get my other credit thank you very much The typical lay between the ladies shot While I prove to everyone that I'm not shallow Doug goes for his special move
  16. Still not done yet but thanks for waiting! Caution: whoring taking place I think Doug has had enough whoring for one day...it killed him For all those fangirls out there...you know you want some Yeah, I think the cut trees on the track is a big hint that the ride is closed, plus no water in the lake I think the boat ride is closed...just a huntch So sad, another missed credit for the day and probably the second best coaster of the credit whoring trip (the best is yet to come) I think Xcelerator is sick...it has a droopy cable...poor guy, get him some chicken noodle soup So this is where Xcelerator chills on the beach with an umberalla and puts back a few Sagging cable, broken fins and the whole launch dohickee thing was a mess So here it is, Xcelerator broken and sick...they are ordering parts from Germany to fix it...YeeHa I was thirsty so it was time for a little drink from a little fountain Screamin Swing, where the haunted shack once was. And because I'm cool I got to ride it for free Yeah, we love pain and vertical loops and the sun Lift hill enthusiasts....here's another Boomerang, We make your ears bleed Yes, the infamous ghetto "Sit Down!" log flume ride at Knott's...the best ever I don't think we are high enough...Supreme Scream is still a good rush but not as good as those first generation Intamin Freefalls This is a drop tower...people poop themselves on it so they only had one side open today but it was still a walk-on Here's the train going up the back spike...still really fast Here's the train going through the station real fast Here's the train going through the loop real fast Here's the train leaving the station real fast Coaster geeks, here we go...here's the shuttle pusher thingy This is Montezooma's Revenge, another term we So Cal peeps use for the runs after you drink TJ water
  17. Not done yet thanks!! Caution, more whoring ahead Keep hand down or they will get chopped off, or covered in sap, your choice True credit whoring fashion...Timberline Twister All I wants bang bang bang Some people say Silver Bullet is forceless...go through this helix 8 times in a row and then come and talk to me about forceless This is Silver Bullet's loop...oh yeah, and Doug's in the picture too First drop goodness...WEEEEEEEE It's marathon time, thanks to the wonderful ride op Sarah for taking the pic and kicking other people out of our line so we can get our ride on Yummy Silver Bullet Here's what Knott's as to offer for an inverted coaster...Silver Bullet After a couple drinks at TGI Fridays we enter Knott's and this is our vision Now it's time for Knott''s Berry Farm...America's First Theme Park Jim loves the giant ______ (insert word here) So after Adventure City, we took a pit stop at TGI Fridays for some food and drinks FBI's most wanted You like my double barrel shotguns? Oh my god, the coaster ate all the kids on the ride! Oh the humanity Sweet, I'm sad and pathetic and sitting in the back...I Rule! Freeway Coaster, goes up and down and side to side and over trees and over rocks = fun Yeah, another credit! They even had midget goats there to groom and stroke...Sorry, no stroking a midget goat today from me Helix of death around a bush It was a very impressive ride for being in a kids park, it's like a wild mouse but minus the pain Lift hill enthusiasts...still got the lotion? Tree Top Racers...imported from Australia. Aussie @$$holes, you got this credit? Hey look at the two idiots pointing at something...what are they pointing at? Next was Adventure City, where we were members of ACE
  18. So my buddy just moved to the LA county and I'd figure I'd show him the sites and sounds that is wonderful smuggy Los Angeles County. First off, we started at Scandia Amusement Park in Ontario. When we arrived, no one was there except maintenance guys that were putting the Halloween maze together. We walked around the park, tempted to operate our own rides. Then, these nice ride ops showed up and followed us around lettin gus any ride we wanted. In order to ride the Screamer we had to have 4 people to ride it so we convinced 2 ride ops to ride it with us so we could get our credit. Next was Castle Park, even though the website said two days earlier that it would be open, it was closed. After having a chat with the people that own Castle Park, no joke, and trying to pay them off to turn on a ride for us...they kicked us out. No credits from this park today. Then there was Adventure City, where we convinced the ticket lady we were ACE members (even though I was wearing a TPR shirt) to let us in the park. Adventure City is geared toward kids so you had to have a kid to enter...but since we were members of ACE we got a discount and got to go in. Final Park of the day was Knott's...Knott's is Knott's so I'll let the pictures explain themselves for that park. Oh, and Xcelerator was broken and we walked on every ride and got to marathon Sivler Bullet for 8 straight rides. The next morning I hit up Pacific Park cuz I was close to it. Ok, enough blah blah blah so here's the pics and enjoy... To quote Ricky Bobby, "If you don't like Big Red, then f**k you" Mmmmm...juicy... Mmmmm...juicy... So I introduce him to a heart attack in a little brown cardboard box So we had some time to kill and Doug's never been to In-N-Out Bye Castle Park, update your website so that your open where your website says you are Castle Park, where we disappoint all the credit whores when we're closed So after talking with the owners and trying to pay them off to turn on a ride they kick us out, 2 missed credits and here's one, Merlin's Revenge Again, upon walking in no one is in the park and all we see are guys fixing rides...those are called maintanence people Next, was Castle Park in Riverside. From here it looks like it's open Thanks to Desirea, Nicole (not pictured), and Vicky for having to put up with us for the short but great time we were there. That's Desirea spraying the slide with silicon and Nicole telling Doug that he's gunna lose...Let's just say that we FLEW down the slides and hit the bricks at the end. AWESOME! Merry-Go-Round time, and we even got a ride op to ride it with us After the Screamer it was Pirate Ship time...Doug smelled so I sat as far away from him as possible Yay, I'm on the tallest coaster in Ontario next to the I-15 freeway! Beat that! And look at the view....you can't get that on any other coaster in Ontario First drop!!! This was a very impressive coaster for where it is... Please nuts and bolts stay together!! So we decided to ride again and then we noticed this big, gaping hole in the track...oh god Lift hill enthusiasts...get the lotion Yay, waiting in the station of the Screamer for other ride ops to get in and ride it with us It's like Dumbo and Disneyland...but not Doug decided to ride a dragon...while I pointed and laughed Scrambler!! And I'm the only one on it!!! Party!!! YAY! Credit Number 1 of the day...and we nearly broke it. It started going backwards on the lift hill.....ooops I think the wait is too long, I'm gunna skip this ride Ok, so where is everyone? Scandia, where our ride ops ride the rides WITH you Whore #1 and Whore #2 ready to get their credits on What's that out in the middle of no where? A coaster?
  19. So since everyone else has turned this into a posting whore topic, I decided to get my post in too. Did you hear that Cedar Point is getting a new coaster? Holy crap! I bet it's gunna be something with a red track and take up way too much space
  20. I think the POV video with the "help me" kid was at the Del Mar Fair in California. I remembered something like that happening at the fair awhile back and they showed it on the evening news and then I saw it again the following year on Real TV. I dont know if it is the same video but it most likely is. I mean how many double chinned kids almost fall out of a slingshot ride, not many.
  21. ^^^ Yeah Nicole, those are fake ID's and you'd be surprised at the kids faces when we take tell them they're fake and staple gun them to the wall and tell them to get out. It always makes for good entertainment
  22. Good stuff Derek, it was fun hanging out with you guys and drinking with you while I was on the clock at work. I was gunna go to Belmont on Sunday but after looking for a spot for 1/2 hr i said screw it...damn tourists coming to the best city in the US for Labor Day weekend, what were they thinking?
  23. I didnt have to pay a single dime for the Screamin Swing and Skyscraper rides in Pigeon Forge...people know Tommy and his shtuff and he gots the hook ups
