  1. Couldnt tell you, as everytime I am there the line is 2 plus hours or its broke. I think you should be fine though.
  2. Ok, its pretty easy to get there from Philly. Just to let you know, your return flight out of Philly will most likely be delayed. It is easily the worst airport in the country. Since you will have a car, the safari is a must.
  3. Monday and Tuesday in May would be your best bet since most NJ schools are still in session, followed buy June. July and August will be equally busy. I would Kingda Ka first and get that out of the way, followed by El Toro. Then you can do Medusa before heading over to the other side of the park and do Nitro, Batman, and The Dark Knight. If you are doing 2 days there, I really wouldnt worry about a Flash pass. You may have to wait longer in line, but Im positive you can do everything there in 2 days without a pass. Not miss rides are all the coasters obviously, but Houdini is pretty neat and the log flume in the Frontier section is pretty long. If you are spending 2 days, I would say def do the Safari if you have a car. The flats are really hurting with all the removals. Im not sure about a 2 day pass, but a season pass wouldnt be a bad idea and you can use it at any Six Flags. What airport are you flying into? How are you getting to Great Adventure
  4. http://www.njtransit.com/hp/hp_servlet.srv?hdnPageAction=HomePageTo You can probably search around there and find exactly what you need. As for safety, you shouldnt have any problems. I know a lot of people who use the bus system and have never heard of any incidents. Cost shouldnt be that much either, and I am pretty sure they have student discounts.
  5. 3+ hours for Splash Mountain and Back to the Future in the Summer of 96. After my 8th grade graduation a friend and I stayed with my grandparents for 2 weeks in July. My Grandfather would drop us off and pick us back up, he was so smart. Splash Mountain's line started near Pirates, no BS
  6. This is exactly what I thought. I think he had the intent on going to the parks and not liking them, because they weren't where he would go on vacation. Instead of going in with an open mind when he was asked,( I'm guessing it was an assignment and not something he decided to do) he just relegates himself to the fact that WDW is an outdated idea that still finds a way to make people spend a lot of money. I can just picture this guy drinking Pinot Noir on a rooftop deck in Manhattan ragging on the simpletons in the world. For the record, I am semi Disney Fan boy, but like it was said before I don't think this guy gets it.
  7. http://www.slate.com/id/2187177/entry/2187178/?GT1=38000 Im curious to see others reactions on this article. It is kinda lengthy, but it is a different take on a world we love. Ill reserve my comments til after everyone posts.
  8. Ohana is one of the best meals I have ever eaten in my life. I always eat there when I go to WDW.
  9. I live about 15 minutes from Storybook land. The amazing thing is that I havent been to that place since a class trip in 2nd grade. No pics of Moby Dick...is it even there still?
  10. Im no engineer, but these reclaimed islands dont look like the best place to build.....well anything. I can't even imagine the kinds of footers you would have to pour for a large coaster, let alone any substantial size building. I got to think in the long run, mother nature will win this one. A perfect example is the airport in Japan that was built on a reclaimed island. It has sunk over 4 four since its been built. As for the park itself, I think it sounds like an amazing idea. Instead of a big Euro trip for my 10th wedding anniversary, maybe I can talk my wife into Dubai?
  11. John P Says: February 16th, 2008 at 7:32 pm Oh Boy! I better pack my bags. BonBon Land doesn’t look creepy at all. That smiling guy looks especially helps ROFL, look at the first response.
  12. Cant wait. Between this and The Dark Knight, its going to be a very good summer for movies. Not to mention Ironman and The Incredible Hulk. Those 4 are cant miss, opening night flicks.
  13. Thanks for the help. I guess it really is a crapshoot whether or not we would enjoy it. Ive been to WDW so many times and love going back, but thought this would be a little different. If the cruise stinks, atleast Ill have 4 days at WDW, which I know wont suck. Printersdevil- Did you bring any children on the trip or was it just for two? Do you think that was the difference, would it have been enjoyable if you had kids with you.
  14. Hello, first post here, been lurking for awhile. I am thinking about taking my family on a Disney Cruise this year and had a few questions on them and cruises in general. My family consists on myself(26), wife(23) and son(3) in case anyone is wondering. First, I browsed Disney's website about cruising and everything but somethings weren't really clear or I missed it. If I do a 4 day land/3 day sea cruise are my park tickets included? I ask because the price I got seemed really good if they are. Second, apparently the nicer your room is aboard the ship, the nicer the hotel you choose at WDW is. Would it be wise for me to spend more or is Port Orleans, thats the hotel choice I was given for the price I choose, nice enough. I've never stayed onside at Disney and I really want to go all out. Third, I never been on a cruise before and to be honest, I've wanted to do other things first. My idea of a great vacation is actually doing something, not laying by the pool or on the beach. Is there enough to do without boredom setting in?, on any cruise for that matter? How about my son? Finally, Is there anytime when I shouldn't go on a cruise? I know hurricane season ends in Nov., but I was thinking let Oct for this trip. Bad idea? Thanks for any help you can give me.
