Hey guys. Looking to visit the park tomorrow and purchase a season pass there as well. Does the price you pay for it in the park differ from the purchase price online? Also, how long should I expect the entire process to take to get it processed? If I want to ride the rides at opening, how much time should I allot myself? Mahalos!

Yea, the capacity of this ride is really what concerns me for installing something like this in larger parks. Do we have the stats on this yet? Look how small the trains are....and secondly, you basically have to wait for the train to make a complete coaster run, half a coaster run, stop on the brake run, switch the tracks, roll the train forwards, switch the tracks back, BEFORE you can dispatch a second train, which holds like 12 people lol. Awesome, awesome concept. I love the idea of this and think it will be a major hit. Honestly think it's really really cool...but I don't see this style really taking off. I see it more as a cool little quirk about this park. Would love to ride it one day...but I live in Hawaii. No coasters within a 6 hour plane ride for me

Quick question, I'm not sure if it's been posted anywhere, but I haven't seen it. I'm super tall...and the park doesn't let me ride Bizzaro, Mind Eraser, or Goliath (it's beyond annyoing)...is there a height restriction for this ride? If not, I'll definitely be making my way up to the park to check it out, as it's only 30 mins away. Thanks!

Couldn't have said it better myself. I 100% agree with this. It would've been nice to see an expansion to Hurricane Harbor, or like a frisbee style ride that we saw great escape get last year. I would have loved to see a HH update! Not super impressed overall with this addition, but if they are able to couple it with improvements and maintenance upgrades throughout the park...I'm ok with it.

I would expect it to be permanent. The state of NJ does not want them run simultaneously. And per a ride operator at Ka and zumanjaro. Ka can not launch a train till the protection screen(roof) at zumanjaro is in a closed position. And so far with the rides running simultaneously, Ka's capacity has been cut in half. They now do 30 launches a hr. give or take. not the close to 60 they used to do. Also look at the fact that almost 10 yrs later, Ka has never reopened the original que path that leads under the launch track. I'm still holding out hope that the park can make some changes and re-negotiate with the state of NJ to have both of them running simultaneously next season! We'll see

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

Hey Guys! I'm currently in Ohio for business for a few weeks, and I'm thinking of making a trip up to the point next Sunday the 15th, Father's Day. I hope to get there as soon as the park opens and hit as many rides as I can until about 3-4pm. While it is a weekend, and do expect big crowds, do ya'll think it'll be any less crowded earlier on because of Father's Day? I'm going with my co-worker and she's never been before...any advice on which rides to hit first? Apologize if these are repetitive questions. Haven't been following this thread super closely. Thanks! -

Busch Gardens starts the yearly torture

Haha, Christmas music irritates me so much! Too much joy and happiness for me -
Haha, you're definitely right...it's just a ride that I think would tie the whole park together. Regardless, Gadv needs to work on it's current infrastructure before planning any other expansions. Perfect what it currently has, THEN move on to bigger and better things. Just curious, why don't you see the other two ideas happening? I LOVE those rides, and think they would do well there

To me Gadv still does not feel like a 'complete' park. Sure the coasters are great, but things like closing off Old Country for YEARS, having dead ends randomly appear in the park, and a severe lack of solid flat rides really hurt the overall appeal. Getting rid of Rolling Thunder and modernizing the ride line-up with the addition of Zumanjaro is an awesome idea in my opinion. However, what ticks me off is I still feel like parts of this park are neglected. Before we even worry about what is going in Rolling Thunders place, let's please revitalize Old Country. That is a must! I feel like an addition of 2-3 solid flats while opening the Old Country dead end will do so much more than just sticking a coaster down where RT used to be. Give me some of these: this is not a flat ride, but still would work well in that section:

Went on a Turkey Trot today, and my dog went missing! 10 yr. old black lab wandered off. The police picked him up and held him...I'm thankful that he'll still be around this Thanksgiving!

It is, but I really don't think they follow through with the times. As long as you have a ticket, I'm pretty sure you can enter whenever you'd like. I visited the Haunted Graveyard twice this fall with 2 different groups of people. I had a really good time, and I'm glad it seems that this year was successful. -

I was there a couple weeks ago, and I had just gotten in line at like 9pm, when they shut down the ride for the evening. Everyone was exiting, so I waited until everyone left the line and talked to one of the ride-ops. He hinted that it's a software problem...and not a problem with the motor itself. They have to keep re-booting the computer system because it shuts down randomly when a train is climbing the lift. There were sooo many people who were pissed about not being able to ride boulder-dash....because in reality, that coaster is the sole attraction for MANY people.
