Cedar Point Photo Trip Report
snoodog replied to snoodog's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I just posted a new TR b/c this was messed up. I postesd it on 5.15.2008 It is great! Reduced sized pictures. ADMIN EDIT: And you couldn't resize the pictures in this thread, because?????? I'm locking this one. ~Matt -
In June 2007, me and my dad took our first trip to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. We knew that this place was awesome. We arrived on Sat June 9th and left early in the morning on Wed June 13th. Overall, this is the best park ever! Don't be mean, this is my first trip report! Lake Erie. This was our view from our room at Hotel Breakers. Hoped you like my TR. This is a small overview from Space Spiral. Signature Shot. I LOVE WICKED TWISTER! Mantis. Ehhhh... Jamni? Most mine ride cars are smaller than normal. That is why I do not like this ride. maXair! I heart this roller coaster. Yes, I am wierd, I rate Wicked Twister a 9.95 Gemini's heavily wooded turn around. Top Thrill Dragster... ... through the _ _ _ _ No not the trees, the loop. This is an awesome sign! This part is WAY!!!!!! to forceful on your legs. It forces you to sit and it crushes something that hurts. The layout is incredible. Look a those nice & precise curves. I like the layout. If this was a sit down, i would enjoy it more. But since it is a stand-up, I try to avoid it. Millenium Force is great except the 4 times I rode him, I got "gray vision" after the first turn and always missed the big airtime hill. Cedar Point! Your not supposed to stand up on the ride. Very good looking! It is kinda crummy and older but they do not need to sell this b/c it is one of the last few on the planet and it is very fun. Classico. I love this photo. This part makes me have "gray vision". This and the 0 G roll is my favorite part of Raptor. Power Tower. The only thing I like about it is it is high capacity and is tall. {Please read comment above} I like this angle, it is very artistic. This is fun for a kiddy coaster, unlike its little brother. ...want you in my backyard! I... I feel sad for this ride. It is a nice ride, but it was a walk on the week I was at CP. I like the 15 mph launch on Maverick. I love turns and drops over 90* Whoa. This is really cool looking. First ever twisted-horseshoe roll. Two in one. Out of the tunnel! I wish the special effect were turned on a night. No this isn't copied. This turned out to be really cool. Taken around 11:30am on Sunday. I may of over-rated Mean Streak last TR. So I rate my no. 2 favorite coaster and favorite woodie coaster at a 8.5! I like Iron Dragon. It was my first and only for now suspended swinging roller coaster.

Head Spin is alright for me but headbanging and vekoma ehhh... It is okay. What The Patchman said, a GCI woodie would be great. -

Maybe I was to mean or whatever but listen to this. This is from www.screamscape.com 2009 - New Attraction - Rumor - (5/15/08) I know this is a long shot right now, but if anyone happens to drive in or around Carowinds in the next few days, keep and eye out for some possible coaster parts. According to one local area reader, they were driving down I-77 not too far from Carowinds and ended up being passed by a couple of trucks that appeared to be hauling what “looked to be Large Silver Roller Coaster supports”. Now of course, without photos we don’t even know if they really were coaster supports on the trucks, but on the chance that they were ride parts, heading south on I-77, Carowinds is really about the only destination they could be going. It’s also worth mentioning that I-77 starts just south of Cleveland, the former home of the now closed Geauga Lake. Last year Carowinds was mentioned to me as one of two possible homes for Geauga Lake’s Head-Spin coaster, a Vekoma Boomerang which has white supports as you can see the RCDB photo. Very interesting coincidence… anyone know more? I said they should get something like Head Spin maybe. -
I must comment that Matterhorn doesn't need seat belts. You may of exagereated? on 100,000 people dying. Maybe 100,000 people being bored. Nice TR. The place looks more well lanscaped and nice scenery. IDK if you were kidding but are they getting a flying coaster. My input is they should get a custom B&M flying coaster cause Superman is getting old. Take a look at this picture: Her is what CP should do. Tear down Disaster Transport or CCMR and build a custom B&M flyer. Then tear down the other one and get a new GCI wooden twister!

Carowinds need love. When Paramount's owned it, it stunk. Now Cedar Fair owns it, it still stinks. They must get a new wooden roller coaster and tear down Hurler because it is horrible. The turns are okay but everything else stinks. After Burn, Nighthawk, Vortex and Taxi Jam needs paint jobs. Get some new flat rides like the bigger parks have like CW Slege Hammer or Psyclone or that stand up enterprise thingy. Maybe get a CP Sky Hawk or MaXair. Also get a LIM/LSM launch coaster or somethnig big and fast. Also get a B&M hyper. Get a new water ride or re-do the Log Flume. With the interview with CF CEO, they are not spending much money on things this year. For God's sake, they should of gotten a coaster from Geagua Lake like Villian, Head Spin, or Raging Wolf Bob's. (The only thing CF spends money on is trash cans) (j/k). Please do not be critical of me for being so mean to them but they need strong improvements. I like Carowinds but please help them CF. sushirocks13 wrote: Also, the parking lot beside thunder road would be the perfect spot for a big coaster..... maybe a B&M floorless(which would be my choice) or a launched coaster or something BIG!! ...Amen! HATE! Get a loop this nice please. -

I'm really sorry about how big the pictures are. You may need to press "F11" to make screen a little bigger. Also, some of the comments have spelling errors and are in the wrong places. -

CP coaster under 130.0?
snoodog replied to snoodog's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Sorry. What is your faorite Cedar Point roller coaster under 130.0 ft. tall? Tough, isn't it. Mine is probably Iron Dragon, or Gemini. -

What is your favorite Stand Up coaster?
snoodog replied to the ghost's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Georgia Scorcher because of the quick transistions from right to left. (SFOG). Shockwave at King's Domnion is short, simple, sexy and sweet. Mantis hurts to much and is a bit rough. And Vortex at Carowinds is to short and not much fun. It is also old. The only thing good about is the curved drop. -
Worst Coaster Ever?
snoodog replied to Mind Eraser's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It had a Great layout and good amounts of Airtime but the "Hurricane" at the Myrtle Beach Pavilion in South Carolina was pretty bad. Also the Ninja a SFOG sucks! -
Hard Rock Park update & review
snoodog replied to CedarPoint6's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
WOW! That was great. I would like to know which carnie rides are added in from a few weeks ago. Can a 6 ft 4 inch guy fit into S,R,n'R cars or the flitzer thingy cars. Also, I like the detailed descriptions of your TR. Awesome! -

They were probably trying to have something different which is very neat but maybe they should of stuck with a elevator lift. I hop it opens soon(2 weeks) because I will be there in one month. -

I really like it! Pretty long but who cares it was neat! What is it with some of Cedar Points coasters. Iron Dragon can go but don't hate on me, it is in my top 10, in 2007 i rode it 20+times. Mean Streak needs work or go to he** but it is my 2nd top coaster ever! (i rode it 25+ times.) Disaster Transport should be... wait perfect idea!!! Indoor and A/c que but outdoor coaster for Diasaster Transport. And Wicked Twister needs some love because in my whole life, WT is my NUMBER 1 COASTER!!!!! Sorry but Cedar Creek Mine Ride has got to go!!! Replace this contraption with a GCI wooden coaster so CP can claim a good woodie. Once again Nice pictures -
