  1. So judging by the wait times & looks on everyone's faces I'm guessing that they don't have an express pass of any kind I'm going on the Tokyo 2008 trip and since I've never been, oddly enough I am looking forward to Fuji-Q. I'll be satisfied riding Fujiyama, Dodonpa, & Ejan but idealy would like to gain all if not most credits in the park. I'm guessing now that this may be a long shot, but do you think chances are looking up to get at least the 3 big credits? I will have to keep my fingers crossed. Great TR...it's so decieving, Ejan looks so new and like it actually would be smoother than X. But after watching the video that theory was prooved wrong.
  2. Wow, that's very cool. Thanks for the great post! I remember watching "America's Greatest Roller Coaster Thrills" & seeing Ron Toomer describe how they built prototypes on site & I remember they featured the prototype of the pipeline. Awesome!
  3. Just to double check, somewhere around Nov 15th e-mails should go out reguarding Tokyo 2008 correct. I sent in a deposit a few weeks back, just want to make sure you've recieved it OK. Thanks guys, can't wait!
  4. So I'm assuming there will be nothing done to the coaster itself, just new trains, tunnel, effects...ect. As exciting as this is, the only downfall is it will boost the wait time back up to 4-5 hours like it was in '01. I'll be very interested to see how it all pans out.
  5. Wow! Looks like a great coaster. Diving in and out of its own structure so many times there must have been great head & hand choppers. Does this one stand out among the other 2 Gravity Group coasters since it is compact as opposed to out and back like Hades & Voyage? Can't wait to see what RF II brings next year! Thanks for the great pics & video.
  6. I hope you mean mini Japan 2008 because Japan 2007 was last month. Yes, Mini Japan 2008...LOL...I realized I wrote that after I hit submit. Thanks for the imput, I really appriciate it.
  7. I am seriously considering the Japan 2007 trip, I will know for sure by the end of this week. I do have a question...I've been looking at airfare and half the sights don't have anything available this early and others are around $2,000 traveling from CT to Tokyo. Is there a better approach to booking airfare if I in fact do go on the trip, maybe other bargain sights or better times of the year to book. I do travel alot, but this would be the farthest. If anyone has any tips or insight on this I would greatly appriciate any help. Thanks, Dave.
  8. I love Disney parks and I think, like MGM & Paris a Rockin' Roller Coaster would complete the park...however, it would be great if they could think of unique theming specific to the park to make it fit right. I mean LA is such a Rock N' Roll city & being that it's California Adventures maybe a theme to Sunset Strip style 80's rock would be alot of fun...it would just need to tie to Disney as well. Just a cool thought I wanted to throw out there. DCA is a fun park and these changes will be very positive! I do have to say though, i would be sad to see the orange stinger go
  9. I am so excited about this! I've not yet had the opprotunity to ride a Euro-Fighter & this being so simular, and best of all, built by Intamin is just awesome! It has that twist and dive into Immelman feature like Speed Monster has which is exciting, I honestly can't wait to go to Hershey next year. Very Cool!
  10. Atlantis Adventure looks like a fun coaster! I'm curious, how was the French revolution indoor Vekoma? The vertical loop over the bridge and helix around the fountain looks unique.
  11. Looks like you are all having a great time, excellent Cedar Point pics. I was there last September when Maverick was under construction, Im sure it's as cool as it looks. Too bad they had to remove the heartline, that looked like fun. I'm curious as to how the 97 degree drop on Maverick compares to one on a Euro-Fighter. Have a great rest of the trip!
  12. Great TR Rich. So being a fellow New Englander who hasn't rode EG yet it's cool you'de say SROS beats it, that suckers right in my backyard. However, I will say EG is near the top of my list for must-ride coasters, the drop just looks amazing.
  13. I think Italy would be a great add-on/mini-trip to follow next years Euro trip.
  14. I don't know if it would be possible for anyone to dethrone G Force. I haven't personally rode it, but judging by all of the pics & vids I've seen... it looks like everyone is accurate in saying it is "The best steel coaster in the world". Maybe one day we'll see something crazier, and hopefully it's near CT (LOL)
  15. Wow, that is too bad about Black Mamba, looking at it it would seem to be more forceful due to its compact size inversions and it also looks like it has a few good leg choppers around the rocks. Still seems worth riding. The theming does look very Disney-like as far as detail goes.
  16. Ge Force is at the top of my must ride list. It looks amazing. I live in New England so SROS is conveniently close...I have had my eyes on Ge Force since they opened it, I need to get my self the heck over there. Nice pics and video Robb, looks like you all had a blast!
  17. Wow, looks like you are all having a blast. Superman to me looks like an amazing B&M floorless. It has a drop simular to a B&M hyper/air hill and in my opinion some of the best inversion elements. How would you compare it to Dragon Khan or even Kraken.
  18. That sounds cool, I plan to head down there this summer and ride it!
  19. How was the floorless feature? I loved Sheikra as it was...so I'm curious if being floorless added anything else with Griffin...especially as Sheikra will now be that way. I like the 2 Immelmans Griffon has, the one on Sheikra was alot of fun alone, so 2 must have been sweet.
  20. Too bad I had to leave before everyone rode The GASM...I know what that one is like. Anyway, I had a great time, the weather couldn't have been any better and neither could El Toro! Definately a fav for me
