  1. I'm going to say... facing towards the Antique Carousel, just slightly to the right of the North/East support. I've had some holymotherofgod moments in that spot.
  2. That was awesome, unique and very well-written. "The bumper cars bump no more." LMAO
  3. Grizzly at King's Dominion would also be an interesting choice. Sure, it was a misery inducing journey through the trees when I rode it in 2012 but RMC could work in some cool headchoppers with the dense forest around it. Plus KD is coming due for something major in the next couple of years.
  4. Six Flags Great Adventure needs a zipline running to it from Allentown because the turnpike construction you need to traverse in order to get there from Dorney Park is a nightmare.
  5. I'd like to just add that typing GhostRider, Mean Streak and Minebuster into a single sentence gave me the heebie-jeebies. They are all in serious need of a makeover and I hope to never ride them all again in a 2 week period until it happens.
  6. ^ agreed. I rode GhostRider, Mean Streak and Minebuster each within 2 weeks of one another and GR was by far the roughest of the three. That said, I wouldn't be willing to bet money that Knott's will be the first park in the chain to get an RMC installation.
  7. It's not really fair to call any park in the chain the "test park". Without putting a whole lot of thought into it I can easily think of "firsts" that went to Cedar Point, King's Dominion, King's Island, Knott's and Wonderland.
  8. I think it will still be at least a couple of years down the road, but when it does happen it'll be Minebuster at Canada's Wonderland. And yeah, I'm probably just saying this because I live 20 minutes from the park and I want the idea floating around of there in the universe. Go quantum mechanics!
  9. This caused me to have a dirty dream about the bumper cars last night. Thank you.
  10. My memory of it is a bit hazy, but didn't SFGadv have "I enjoy morning wood" posters around the park during the first season of El Toro?
  11. Wonderland has been my home park my entire life. I visit 8+ times a year and have done so every year since 1981. I had no idea until today that this path existed. I need to start hanging out behind the bumper cars.
  12. Strongly agree. I experienced Fahrenheit for the first time last summer and just could not get my head around the bad reviews. Thought it was amazing.
  13. That stall. Taken so prolonged and gracefully.
  14. I visited SFGAm in 2012 for the first season of X-Flight and (mainly due to limited budget and vacation time) it's not at all my style to re-visit a park that requires significant travel just for a single new ride. BUT, having watched the 'June 4th Test Run' video countless times I've decided that I need to re-evaluate my 2014 coaster trip plans. I just can't imagine not riding 'Goliath' this summer, regardless of which other park I end up sacrificing to do it.
  15. Holy crap, it's just given'r over that airtime hill.
  16. I was at the park for 3 hours between 10am and 1pm this past Saturday. Leviathan was a station wait and everything else was a walk-on. In just the first hour alone I rode Leviathan (x1), Behemoth (x2), Vortex (x1), Psyclone (x1), Backlot (x1) and Windseeker (x1). Being that it was only a little bit windy on Saturday, I was rather surprised when riding Windseeker that empty seats in front of us swung back and hit the knees of the girl I was riding with (she was in the inside seat). It happened at the very top; just at the moment we started to descend. They didn't hit her hard enough to hurt, but it sure scared the crap out of her. Curious if this has ever happened to anyone else?
  17. If this announcement is directly proportional to the amount of beer I'm drinking waiting for it then this will be one heck of an awesome thing; whatever it is.
  18. Less than 2.5 hours to go. Not sure I've ever been as excited for something I don't have any idea what I'm excited for then I am right now.
  19. ^ it doesn't seem at all fair that you get to know before we do.
  20. 3 Inches Of Blood - Die For Gold (Upon The Boiling Sea IV)
  21. I think I'm too curious to sleep. Whatever this is may seriously impact the first-time Liseberg trip I have just started planning for this August. It's not a trip I will be able to make twice so... do I proceed with my plans? Or do I wait until 2016? So happy they are announcing this now and not in 3 weeks (when it would have been too late to switch to plan 'B').
  22. Liseberg. Haven't quite figured out how I'm gonna pull it off yet though. also, I've already sorted plans to hit both Vegas and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in July.
  23. First time at SFGAdv, first ride of the day was Nitro. As the train approached the helix you could see a herd of 6 to 8 deer standing inside/under the helix. The deer glanced up as we sped around them, but they didn't move otherwise. They acted like it was the most natural thing in the world for a coaster train of screaming humans to circle them.
