  1. New page...new video and the video you all have been waiting for (I hope lol!) This is the POV video with some added sound effects to kinda simulate what the experience would be if it were real, from the dogs howling to the dragon growling the real thing would be just awesome. After doing this coaster I kinda dwell back and try to find the reason why I stop my mechanical engineering studies at college. I always wanted to deal with the thematics of coasters and the design of them but I guess life just happen... Oh well about my shortcomings here is the POV!   3. you know what lol you can virtually get away with all pre-fabs on an inverted coaster because most inverted coasters have the same style supports. Nothing gets too funky on inverts.
  4. yeah jordan, I was just poking fun lol! as you start making more coaster you will see the major difference with using pre-fabs vs. custom lol. While I never write off pre fabs because some times it will do exctly what a custom support can do , custome supports can be more visual pleasing. Anyway looking good for your second coaster and love the drop under the brakes.
  5. Liking the coaster but loose the lift stairs. The coaster lift structure is kinda under supported. It works on intamin coasters since they have the track structure supporting it but with the x car design you should have a support like every 6-8 cross segment of track.
  6. Thanks! Like I mention when that person said it looked boring its a family coaster! I was going for the interaction. I wish it was more I can do on nolimits like have the 3DS have animation. I would have loved to see the hounds move. And just incase anyone wants to know, the last tunnel is suppose to be the dragons lair thats why it has the red smoke! Again thanks for those who followed thru construction

  10. to Liseberg4ever, I have not sought permission but I figured by giving the source of the 3DS that would be just as good... Well as things come to an end for the coaster I am just brushing up on some things. -adding torches throughout the station and que -checking clearance with the theme elements to the track -checking all supports and making rotating footers as nessary -trying to figure out what more I can add to make it a better experience -tweaking the operations of the coaster to ensure no stacking and as many trains as possible.   11. Again...thanks guys for the support and everything. It may very well be boring to him but sad to say most of my coasters are family to intermediate thrill coasters. I dont really go for the "over the top" insane thrills. I have said it over and over I cannot make 3DS. If I could I would probably not have a job right now for calling out to build coasters lol. Tonight, well this moring, I decided to give you guys a preview of the coaster so here is an offride video. You can see the ride is a people mover as there are always 3 trains on the course at virtually all times! doomsday.mpg

I mean this is a fun family coaster (no inversions) but I think I would rather have diamond back...lol Thanks guys for all the comments here are some more progress pictures. I should be finish with this one by sunday since I have already completed the que and working on the exterior. Noting lavish like river runner but something nice!

  15. well i decided to check it out and this is what i think... The curving brake leading into the launch...not realistic Speaking of the launch. WHile it would be cool launching face down it is not pratical when an evalcuation is needed. Since the vekoma flyers load in the upright position, if the track is inverted then it would be impossible, well not really impossible but people would drop on their heads, for a successful evalcuation. I would have liked to see more custom supports on the coaster. It reminded me of AIR, just flying around and the lie-to-fly occasionally which isnt a bad thing. Personally I would have liked to have seen more "uniqueness" as far as inversions and such. Overall a pretty nice coaster!
  16. Ok another theme change...more like a theme downsize. Im not doing the doomsday theme as I planned but a general castle theme!. Things are progressing much quicker than river runner and I should be finish with this one in a few days! I did have to extend the track to get some clearence inorder to have the lift covered! and I added a small drop after the lift!

  20. Are you serious...you have GOT to be kidding! The park opened 5 coasters. Thats more than some parks have period. Not all of them are block buster coasters but still I seriously doubt their problem is the lack of coasters. The "people" will not let this park die. True didn't do well in it's first year but im sure you didnt pop wheelies, or do handstands the first time you rode a bike. I feel the park closing in nov is better for them because thats standard for alot of parks. I feel the park will and is learning from their mistakes and will come back next year stronger...and hopefully with a water ride.

  23. This is a coaster I call "No Fear". That was the first thing that came to my mind when designing this coaster. I labled this as realistic becuase I honestly think this coaster could work in realife. This is the worlds first launched flying coaster that launches you head-over-heels on 1020ft of non-stop coaster madness (I didnt count the emergency brakes/transfer brakes and the emergency spike in the track ft. The launch is at 52MPH and heads into a half loop inverting the train and preparing it to enter a pretzel loop then up an inverted vertical spike that will give the sensation of being on a free fall tower. You'll then go over some LIM's to get some speed to go up the spike then it's all down hill from that point when you free fall down hitting 52mph all over again. I did this coaster in a very small amount of time because I already had the concept from a drawn design that wouldnt work in nolimits and this is the result. nofear.nltrack
  24. You want more...here ya go!! lol And I have finally came up with a theme. After toying with a "dark knight" theme...after watching "doomsday" today I figured that would be the theme of the coaster. While a god awful film I figure it would make a great coaster theme. Imagine walking thru the building of the "moehawks" then, walking on a train and getting off the train and be outside of a castle! The rest of the que will go thru the castle and lead you up to the loading dock! Thats just the condensed version of the theming but what I have in my mind would be like a HHN-lite style que minus scaracters. Stay tuned...once I finish river runner I will start working heavily on this one. I did some spot theming to see how the castle would look so far! I wanna say thanks to hydra54 for providing such wonderful themeing on his coaster donjon @ coastersims.com Drop into the dungeon where the prisoners are willing to give you a "hand" heh heh! exit from station The "forbidden room" that will show there is civilization abroad.
