  1. The trains should be the same. I believe it's just the angle of the epic that makes it look that way. I had to take a double take on that pic too.
  2. It looks like it still halls butt going down the first drop. Not much of video like you said, but still kinda cool to see that. Thanks for making it down-loadable.
  3. Please put the video up, I'd like to see it.
  4. Oh that pic of that line for The Hulk, made me glad I visited in February. I had complete walk on rides for The Hulk. Yay!
  5. I also heard they have added trims along the course. So another reason it could have stalled if they had the trims on too heavy. I also heard though they are a lot of vibration in the trains. So if that is true, don't except the ride to open anytime soon.
  6. Look at Firehawk. During the first few test runs it ran really slow, and the wheels even squeaked a little. Firehawk is running much faster now, and the squeak has gone way. Firehawk had all new wheels on the trains when it started testing, they sure didn't use X-Flight wheels on it.
  7. I agree this is not the time to be joking, and I even was offended by the jokes. If this was someone in your family how would you feel if someone was making fun of you in the same way. Back on topic. I'm not sure if it's related to in the accident, but KI's Drop Zone was shut down this evening when we tried to ride around 9pm. It was open however when we arrived at park at 5pm. I wouldn't be a bit Surprised if it was closed down for this reason. About the cables, I know DZ's cables have been replaced several times, I really hope it wasn't bad maintenance that caused the accident at KK. That wouldn't be very good at Six Flags. They already been thru that a few years back, in the late 90's. I feel bad for the girl, and my prayers are with her and her family.
  8. Could it in fact valleyed because the wheels are not broken in yet? The Premier trains have also valleyed in the rose bowl, so I wouldn't count it out just yet. Also probably as why I saw pics of 3 car trains, they took the train apart to either push it back to the station or something to that effect. I also heard it ran test runs today. When were these picture taken?
  9. From the pictures I've seen at KIC, it appears they are only 3 cars per train, this can't be right. I can see it wouldn't make it around the track with only a 3 car train, I wonder if this is for testing purposes?
  10. Face/Off at KI isn't that bad, and Firehawk (Flying Dutchman) is pretty smooth at KI.
  11. Question? Where did that track come from? Replacement track from GASM?
  12. Did you stop by GR and make tell them your concerns?
  13. I'm 27, and the first coaster I rode was Vortex at KI when I was 7.
  14. I think your right about that. Top Gun at KI does it about half way up the hill cause the other train hasn't cleared the brakes yet. Also The Beast also has various chain speeds. A couple of weeks ago I was on The Beast and we went slow all the way to the top of lift 1, at the top of lift 1 we came to a complete stop for a few seconds and started over the hill at full speed of the lift. I believe they do this so they don't have to stop the train on the lift.
  15. Vortex, Kings Island, May 30th, 2007.
  16. I knew they were another Firehawk thread but I figured that this message would have got lost in that huge 26 page thread. So what I'm saying is I did see that they were another Firehawk thread, but this is big news.

NOW YOU CAN FLY!...at Kings Island beginning Saturday (Memorial Day Weekend) as the park celebrates its 35th anniversary with the much-anticipated opening of Firehawk, the park’s 14th imaginative roller coaster.
