You're the new CEO of Six Flags

I like this one a lot. SF definitely needs to downsize. However I think they should keep 8 properties - the 7 you listed plus SFFT. As far as I know (I'll admit I'm not an expert) SFFT is very profitable and widely considered one of the better, more unique, parks in the chain. SFDK also should stay in the Six Flags family. -

The park had a pretty decent crowd when I was there in Late August. It wasn't packed, but California had already started school. They bought the land underneath the park from the city for over $50 million this past year. They also rebranded and spent millions in rethemeing this year. They are spending $7 million on a new coaster this year. I don't know, this may be a park to watch out for in the near future. I think that this park is now one of the gems of Six Flags. EDIT: I almost forgot, they added a Holiday in the Park event in 2007, one of the rare moments when operating hours are longer and not shorter in the Six Flags family. -

"Cedar Fair" did not exsit at the time, but Cedar Point's owner bought Valleyfair! in 1978, a year before that brochure. They added Rails, CP's old Wildcat coaster the year they bought the park. So yes, it was a "Cedar Fair" park at the time. An interesting fact about VF was that Dick Kinzel was the general manager there for 8 years in the 80's before he became CEO of the entire company. He was responsible for Corkscrew and partially responsible for Excalibur.
