Can we get a front page advertisement? Puh-leese.

A big portion of the lack of promotion for the NL contest is my fault. End-of-semester reports, class scheduling, and closing shifts every day have really eaten up my time. I apologize. Should we give an extension or something? A bunch of people have downloaded the template, but no one has submitted an entry.

How about RCT2, B&M Stand-up?

Yes. I've got it. The first time I tried to do a merge I thought I could just merge two posts from the same thread into one. -

I applaud Knoebels for putting safety as a number one priority. I would rather see them get it right for opening day than have to open it and close it. -

Oh, sure. It was just an idea. Maybe we should make an in-game video of an RCT2 coaster crash, with two "bad" members riding the ride when it crashes. "This is what will happen..." Oh, and R.D., just so you know, I haven't found any sanity yet.

Bear with me for a second, this could go waaaaay into left field - Maybe we should let it go once and bust people afterward? In the Magic Kingdom, if someone shoplifts or gives counterfeit money we're supposed to let it go and notify security about it with a description of the violator, and then they proceed to wait by the park exit for that person to get there so they can bust them. It's sort of like a "rude awakening" when the violator thinks they're on top of the world until they're busted at the last minute, when the busting was planned all along.

At least MayTheGForceBeWithYou owned up to his mistake. This is plain vulgar.

A grocery store's dairy section is usually located toward the back of the store, meaning you have to explore the whole store to get to it. -

Bell Gardens [RCT3]
A.J. replied to SoCalCoasters's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Nice, but maybe you should work on a logo that can stand out on its own, and not have to have that background to make it complete. -
Not to mention that his first "preview" of "his" "park" nearly burnt my eyes out just looking at it. I went ahead and removed the attachment.

If the layout on the blueprint is in fact the layout, I really like it. I'll take sweeping turns over jarring directional changes any day. -

ADMIN EDIT - Ok, I'm upping the prize ante on this contest. You'll win: - A Bag-o-Crap - A Club TPR Membership - WIth a Club TPR T-Shirt SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY NOW!!!! PRESENTING... A TPR Official Game Exchange Challenge! NoLimits - My Favorite Ride is Vortex! What happens when your manager's favorite coaster is an Arrow? DOWNLOAD THE TRACK/TERRAIN FILE NOW! History: Having successfully mooched off of members of a theme park enthusiast website to make his Grand Gardens popular, the manager has hatched a new plan. He recently took a "research" trip to Kings Island in Ohio and came out of the park with a favorite roller coaster - Vortex. Now, he has, once again, bought a large expanse of land for a relatively inexpensive price. The problem is this - none of the land is even close to being flat. He wants a roller coaster like Vortex on that land. The Challenge: Build an Arrow Dynamics multi-looping coaster using the "Corkscrew Coaster" coaster type. Because the manager wants a coaster like Vortex, it must do the following: Have a drop of at least 138 feet Reach a speed of at least 55mph Have at least two loops, two corkscrews, and a batwing Also: You are not allowed to modify the terrain in any way. Keep in mind that you don't have to necessarily recreate Vortex, just include its elements, height, and speed. You could include a wrap-around corkscrew a la Drachen Fire to your coaster and it would be okay as long as it still had the two loops, two corkscrews, and batwing. "But wait, A.J. - what do we need for this challenge?" All you need is NoLimits Coaster version 1.6 or later to play. This track file has no 3DS either. "How do I submit my finished track?" Upload your track to the TPR Game Exchange! When you upload your contest entry to the exchange, be sure to list it under the "TPR Challenge" file type. Judging There will be two winners of this challenge. Member's choice - at the end of the challenge, TPR members will vote to decide which track is their favorite. Moderator's choice - also at the end of the challenges, the Game Exchange moderators will decide which track is their favorite. "A.J., what do I win?" You Get CRAP! ONE lucky winner, as voted on by our members will get a **HUGE** TPR BAG OF CRAP! You read that right- A REAL, AUTHENTIC, GENUINE, ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES TPR BAG OF CRAP! Honestly, this will be one awesome bag of crap filled with kick-ass stuff! "Crap, glo-ri-ous craaaaaap..." But wait! There's MORE! Everybody who PLAYS the challenge, and turns in a track will get a 50 pt. bonus in their exchange accounts! That's right - you get something just for making a track, even if it doesn't win. It's like a lovely parting gift! Keep deadlines in mind! The contest begins today - Monday, April 18, 2011 - and ends on Monday, May 9, 2011. On Wednesday, May 11, 2011, the public voting will begin for the member's choice winner, and will last one week. Good luck, and enjoy the landplot - if you have any questions, feel free to ask your Game Exchange moderating team - mcjaco A.J. djbrcace1234 QueerRudie Have fun! Don't double post. You can edit your posts, you know. It's also not worth it to only have one image in an update, and update so frequently. Give us a tour of your park as it evolves. -

As of now, I'm leaving May 13th. If I stay any longer, I'll be too far behind in my schooling. I have filed an application to stay as a seasonal cast member only because I absolutely adore the location. I plan on taking another semester in a few years to come down there again and work like I am now. -

I basically spent two years practicing 3D modeling with Inventor and Solidworks in high school, and that's why it's my main medium for design concepts as of now. While I've decided WDI is what I want to shoot for, I'm still extremely crossed as to what I'm "good" at. I've been exposed to so many different disciplines (engineering, sketching, theatre, architecture, music, computers), and I want to find a career that lets me the creative person I've been since I was a kid while being in an environment that I've loved since I was a kid - an amusement park. I'm not jumping the gun and saying "I want to be in WDI and nothing else", but it's my main goal. It would be the best job in the world for me to work in the design field of any amusement park or amusement ride firm, and I'm only seriously stressing WDI at this moment because I'm down here in Florida and I have those opportunities to network at my fingertips. Thanks for your opinions and experiences, they really mean a lot. -
