mrceagle
Thanks for all those great shots of the park. I don't know why this park has such a bad rap. It looks great. With all hope I will get to this park one day. Thanks again.
SLUSHIE
Wow DLP looks awsome. Are the stained windows in the castle actualy to outside or are they just lit from behind? I wish they would open Disneylands walkthrough.
sebastienstuff
Shots of the different countries and dolls (the end is in part 4) sorry for the blurry shots, dolls are spinning and my no flash settings made it more difficult to respect the inside ride lighting and shutter speed Sign wishing you a good trip but ... being french the "V" looking like an "N" makes it look like "good drowning" ... remember it's a water ride lol lol Waiting line scenery
coasterlover420
Man, that is the scariest ride ever....
ECZenith
I always have to ride either WDW's or DL's when I'm in the respective park due to having a girlfriend. I probably wouldn't mind it so much if they didn't play the song for the entire ride. Cool pictures though, they came out well.
ECZenith
Oh man... Space Mountain looks so ill! If only WDW had the Discoveryland version. The whole Discoveryland area is just awesome-looking, only seeing it in pictures, I like the looks of it better than Disneyland's or Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowlands. sebastienstuff
Pics of that park (almost closing time, so not so many things to take, but not many things to see in that park anyway lol - at least not for the moment - will start being a bit better with Twilight Terror tower Inside the "Disney studios 1" theming (restaurants and stores) Disney Studios water castle "Pixar's Cars" theming as it comes out soon in France Another shot, you can see in the background there's a black limo where people like taking a picture Mickey's Fantasia fountain Lumiere Brothers square (where you see many Disney characters) Disney Studios Main Gate (that never opens) Walt and Mickey's statue (first thing outside Studio 1) Armageddon's Set (you can see the back of Twilight Terror Tower in the background) Armageddon's vehicle (outside theming) Stage for a show (this one replacing the Aerosmith Coaster guitar) One of the 3 themed "picture setups" so kids can feel like being in the movie Room after the theater, displaying sketches and Disney characters Theming inside the pre-room of the theater The Art of Animation theater (and hat) Commentaries by Jeremy Irons during the tram ride Rear decor of the Canyon Studio Tram tour - Canyon Truck set Stunt show Set front (was closed) Different displays during Tram tour Tram tour vehicle London after Devastation Dinotopia set (before CGI)
ECZenith
I've always wondered... What is the Armageddon attraction like? Great photos, BTW!
sebastienstuff
They are naturally lit by the sun (pic is taken from inside the castle's corridor) ... 85°F on that day, so i had special manual settings on the cam to respect the real light - not having too bright (even if not happy with the result)
sebastienstuff
you walk in a room with round center ... people stand around it (make sure to go on the right if you're at DSParis (or it won't impress you at all) and suddenly there's a problem in the ship ... a door opens and a burst of flames gets to you (that is if you're on the right, or you won't feel a thing) and then a door opens blowing air (not really impressive) and that's about it if it didn't change since. The Best "fire" ride ever for me remains "Templo del Fuego" at Universal Studios Port Aventura - in Spain. If you want to know what being in a fire means, it's where to go. sebastienstuff
Showing the construction of Twilight Tower (and Disney Collectibles in a souvenir store) should be finished by 2007 (at least will be sthing more in that park that only has 7-8 "rides" when they all work. It would need another couple to be worth the 50 dollars entrance fee (thank God, my first visit was only 15 bucks and my last was free) Disney's Pearl Harbor movie planes Different decors for Tram Tour
martinb
Argh! A whole topic full of photos from Its a Small World Would it not be better for to keep all your updates in 1 topic, just saying because the Mods might have something to say about it! Geez, is there anything you DIDN'T take a picture of? -Martyn
BiCoastal Kid
^Are you saying Small World DOESN'T deserve it's own topic????
sebastienstuff
Yes, surprisingly there are 12 shows and rides, i didn't take pictures of, and that's only for DLP ... about 3-4 areas i didn't shoot at SDP ... It's a photo trip report ... isn't it supposed to be complete ? And for only one topic, try to put 250 pictures in one topic and i'll include it's a small world with the others. sebastienstuff
Sending you pics for you to see that not only Disney Land Paris is worth the trip ! I hope you will like it and will make you want to visit Paris This "promenade" will take you a full day and the use of the Paris subway. if you cross the street from the back of the cathedral, you'll find this WWII Memorial (proper clothes required if you want to visit) View from the back of the Cathedral ... when it's raining, you can see gargoyles spitting out the rain ... and if you climb the towers, you'll see chimeras (mythical creatures) While this one, starts with a 5° angle. Stained glass windows. Only one is original, all the others have been remodelled in 1700s One of the four "Roses" of the Cathedral ... if you look carefully, this one is shaped following a cross (90° angles) center portal representing the Judgement Day ... each portal has its own meaning, as well as the door center represents a statue, and under the statue, there's a scene of the bible too. The Front of the cathedral, doors and more, was "picturing" the bible The Kings under were thought to be French kings, so during the revolution of 1789, they were beheaded ... while they are Kings of Judah and Israel (so religious) Make sure if you take the picture to have the "center of the Rose stained glass" right behind Mary's head ... it's where it should be so it looks like she has a 30 feet wide halo (crown) Notre Dame Cathedral ... has been sand washed for a few years now, giving it the whitish look it had originally, because pollution had darkened it for years before. One of the 37 bridges of Paris (oldest and nicest one is the Pont Neuf - meaning New Bridge) Montparnasse tower, highest in Paris Square Saint Michel Fountain The Observatory in the distance Gate with gold sheets decoration and Palais of Luxembourg in the background Fountain at the Luxembourg Gardens (people sit down and read a book, talk, relax, sunbathe) mommy with her baby at the zoo great use for the macro mode on digital cams Botanical gardens the Gardens close up of a rose Besides the buildings, and zoo, all the visits are free At Le Jardin des Plantes ... gardens with thousands of species ... fragrances are very nice there ... this is the Roses gardens with hundreds of different roses and explanations
sebastienstuff
tour pics http://rapidsharing.com/download.php?id=2BB0E0F9 I hope you will enjoy this, even if it's not really about roller coasters The Hotel de Crillion (Luxury Hotel as you can tell by the two little cars parked in front of it) On the left of it, you have the American Embassy one of the two fountains on it The Obelisk of Luxar on the Place de la Concorde (square where people were beheaded during the revolution - largest square in Paris) The gold tip was added recently ... the obelisk is 3000 years old and was gift from Mohammed Ali (not the boxer lol) to L Bridge Alexandre III and the French National Assembly The "Grand Palais" and one of its many statues ... and a statue in honor of Charles De Gaulle (former french president and general during the war) - CDG airport is named after his name Embassy of Iran's front gate Ladurée - one of the most famous and best pastry shop in Paris (for the ones familiar with Sex & The City, it's where Carrie goes) Very famous place for its 20 different Macarons (cookies) but has many pastries also and a tea-room. Pretty expensive but w Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (since 1920) Napoleon is sculpted on it (he's the one who asked for it to celebrate the ancient rome and a tribute to his armies) The Arch of Triumph ... one of the many aligned historical buildings in paris (Arch of La Défense is the latest building aligned with it and the Champs Elysées) another bridge of Paris
