Loopy Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 I am heading to Sweden for work, my trip is July 5th-13th. I have set aside time to hit Liseberg (yeah Balder!). I'm flying in to Stockholm and taking a train to Gothenburg. Are there any other parks I can hit easily? Distance, ease of travel, and time are all issues here. It pains me to think my first trip out of the country, and I can only hit one park. Any suggestions besides?
SharkTums Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Grona Lund is in Stockholm. Midsize park with a decent amount of credits. There must be some sort of train from either Stockholm or Gothenburg to Oslo, and just south of Oslo you'll find Tusenfryd. I would think you can hit these 3 parks pretty easy!
Loopy Posted June 1, 2006 Author Posted June 1, 2006 How easy is it to get around speaking only English?
viking86 Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 That shouldnt be any problem. Most people in Scandinavia speaks English pretty good.
Loefet Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 In Sweden English is not a problem, most have studied it since 4:th grade and all programs and movies from another country is shown in it´s native language (except childrens stuff). If you don't want to fly To Oslo from Stockholm, it would be easier to get to Oslo from Gothenburg by train, bus, etc.
jALIg Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 most people speak english. when you plan to get around here is some sites that might be helpful: train gothenburg-oslo (no train service between stockholm-oslo) www.nsb.no Air (oslo-stockholm) try first www.flynordic.com this is the cheapest you can also try www.norwegian.no if you have no luck on those you can try www.sas.no but be aware this can get quite expensive and but might be lucky with a flight:) enjoy your stay!
