dragoncoaster1292 Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Hey, everyone! I got an idea for a TPR video game! Here it is! I think Robb's coaster vids should be made into video games! You would, at first, have only two playable characters, Robb and Elissa. You would have special powers, such as the deadly "Friendly Food Blast" or "The Churro Sword", which you could use to kill your enemies (such as line jumpers, mean and unruly ride ops, kids who won't help give you Credit Points, ect.). Credit Points are points you get for riding a roller coaster. The amount of points you get are measured by the airtime, the length, the speed, the height, the number of inversions, and the smoothness or roughness of the roller coaster. You would get points for good things, such as airtime and smoothness, and you would lose points for things such as roughness. You can collect things that you buy at the various shops around the parks you visit with your Credit Points, such as Advil, free Pepsi or Coke (these things will replentish your health), donuts, Churros, plain pasta, and McDonalds food (These will upgrade your weapons; for example, the Churro Sword would become the Super Churro Sword if you add a certain number of Churros to it). You beat a level when you get the maximum number of Credit Points in the park, which will rise for every level that you have. The simplest and easiest levels would be things like Scandia Fun Center and other small parks, usually with only one or two coasters. As you progress in the game, you will be going to harder, more well-known parks, Such as Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom or even, if you are VERY lucky or are VERY good at the game, Coney Island (the reason that it's lucky if you ever get there is because the Cyclone will give you the most Credit Points out of any other roller coaster in the game! Note: it is a secret level, that you will be randomly sent to when you have enough Credit Points.)! The hardest levels will be things such as Six Flags Magic Mountain or Cedar Point, because they are some of the most crowded, most coaster-filled places on the face of the planet! Oops! If forgot to mention bosses earlier! Usually bosses would be such as "Fat Line Jumper" or "Horrible Ride Op of Doom", or something similar to those. You will get amazing numbers of Credit Points for defeating them, but you will lose a lot of Credit Points for losing against them. The bosses are usually just ways for you to get the max number of Credit Points in the park, and they rarely get you enough to get you to the next level. In conclusion, the levels would coorespond to the version you are playing. For example, if you were playing Coaster Expedition Volume 6, you would be in such parks as Bon Bon Land, Liseberg, Tivoli Gardens, and Bobbejaanland. That, my fine people, is the Theme Park Review video game! Thank you for reading my ranting idea that I thought up on the spot and took me an hour to write! I will continually post updates on my ideas for the game. Thank you for your time!
vjgx Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Wow. This would be the BEST. VIDEO GAME. EVER. But seriously, there has to be someone who can make a Half-Life 2 mod for this... ANYTHING can be made into a Half-Life 2 mod! Great idea!
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Dude, I'd buy that in 0.(insert random numder of zeros here)1% of a heartbeat!
Luxo Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 ...you have alot of time on your hands, don't you? I mean, we already have ideas for a TPR theme park, TPR RCT2 park, TPR RCT3 park, TPR Sims Game TPR comic strip, etc. All thats left now is fan fiction.
dragoncoaster1292 Posted May 26, 2006 Author Posted May 26, 2006 ^Yeah, I have a ton of time on my hands, especially with my five-day weekend! I am now currently thinking up weapons for Robb and Elissa, and will probably post them later on in the day. I may also need suggestions for a few "secret characters". It would be great if any of you could help me out!
rollermonkey Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Who sang that song "Too Much Time On My Hands"? Wasn't it Foreigner? It's coming to mind right now for some reason. Secret Characters Suggestions: Diabetic Dan: (Can't use Churro Swords or Cola or other sugar-based power-ups.) He's like trying to beat ResEvil with the block of Tofu. Jew: Has difficulty negotiating courses due to his aversion to physical effort. (Monkey bars are his kryptonite, but perhaps there's a working Metro or monorail to get him around?) Guy: Haunted by demonic heads (more ResEvil), fascinated by a cartoon hottie, and gets naked for money. (If it's for a good cause.) His limitation is he negotiates parks with a stroller and kid in tow. JJ: If you can unlock him, it's like ultra easy mode, as everything he does gets him credit points. And so on...
dragoncoaster1292 Posted May 26, 2006 Author Posted May 26, 2006 ^Hey, those ideas rock! The Cheat Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 This is probably one of the most blatant displays of fanboyism that Ive ever seen in my life...but at least its not as bad as the comic strip....
