ParkTrips
So yeah.. I met up with a group from Florida. The Johnsons Erik and Leanne/spellcheck?) as well as Will"Montu" and Darlene. Local boy Anthony aka CoasterCrazy aka BookmarkBoy joined us for the day. The forecast was hot and humid and it was a Saturday but we didn't let the crowds get to us AT ALL. Welcome to SFOG where Tweety no longer greets you. OMG the SIGNATURE GOLIATH SHOT has changed FOREVER!!! Julie, you have a true gem. Luuucky. *edit: stoopid effin SmugMug screwed up the rotations so it may not look right. Oh well **edit #2 - yay it works right now I'm loving the wave swinger... btw WTF @ Anthony There we go... * In need of tissues * Apparently the signature move of the day was the thumbs up... HEY! WTF, our Green Lantern isn't white!?!!! AWESOME Signature shotage!! In case you missed it.. word. Bunny hop insanity. Daddy O's and GOLIATH.. mmmmm..... Attitudes == greatest theme park gift shop ever Told ya. Erik, be sure to upload your railroad POV I love the train. Knibb High Football rules!!! Still lovin' the train... LOL @ 3 hr line for Thunder River... and it was longer than pictured at points. SUCKAS! Awesome is here.... this photo is here. Yup, it's beyond awesome. I'm cool like that. Scorcher = Viper = Greezed Lightnin??? hey Cyclone... you SUCKED today. Yup, signature move of the day still in tact "oh crap, I just realized I am riding Cyclone" Man-hole awesomeness. Better then normal sex, right Elissa? Oh, wait, no one reeds my TRs, THAT'S right. haha, Chance sucks I spy some credit whores. Hey, Bryant, you win an award for being the most kickass enforcer of the no smoking policy!!! It's out of focus, but I don't care.. lol, Deja Vu Pizza and Vekoma, how can you go wrong? Ninja thru the tress!!! Dorky photo! Awww... poor Schwarzkopf Actually, this is the definition of dorky photo. A photo of dorks taking photos of a crappy caoster. I LOVE IT. I won't deny it, I'm not afraid to drop a signature move when gracing the presence of an awesome Vecoma. THIS ride should be the one themed to a pinball machine, not some stupid Maurer spinner... hey Scream Machine... you SUCKED today. And that's all. It was a really long and hot day and I was tired, so I headed home. Got a message from Erik so I think they stuck around and he seemed to enjoy Mind Bender at night. Overall, a really productive day that was really fun considering the circumstances of the crowds and weather and everything. Once again, THANK GOD for Q-bot. OK, that's all from me have a superb evening guys :::D - Joe 8)

WillMontu
Here are some of my pics. I also have some video that I will try and post soon. I will be posting more pics (including some cool night shots) as I have them ready Deja Vu - It was working Mine Train - A forty year old Arrow. What else do I need to say? Mindbender - Rode this several times. Fun ride Batman - Short but intense Goliath - My first hyper. Lots of airtime in the back seat Canyon Blaster - A credit, and little more Scorcher - My first stand-up. Fairly intense Cyclone - Rode in the back seat. Big mistake! GASM - Yawn Ninja - Rode in the second to last row. Never again. Looks pretty though Superman - Will be riding on the 21st Where do we go for this ride? Acrophobia was a decent Intamin drop. The ride ops are trained well in "announcing" the drop As with every photo TR, here is something for Derek and it's not a vertical loop The stores also sell merchandise based on a dancing old man with a tux Six Flags sure knows how to stock its stores, especially with Ninja in the park We get sidetracked to Disney World I will be posting my train POV soon too Nice shot of the underside of Goliath Look at all the poor people who don't have Flashpasses! Signature shot! Here's some of the theming for Batman. So that's where Fantazy Land got their ideas from An Intamin ride! Another coaster The ride isn't very suprising for a forty year old Arrow First credit of the day! The mine train We stop off for some "Elissa friendly" food. Erik and I had Whopp..I mean Big Macs. Gas is much cheaper in Georgia Erik, Leanne, Darlene and myself set out from Gainesville. Here we crossed the stateline. The trip was made more bearable with my laptop and XM radio
Slacking
Great Pics! Looking foward to my first visit to SFoG (either in the next 5 weeks or in August, not sure yet)...... must ride Monster Plantation!
SharkTums
Your Deja Vu photo RULES!!! Sounds like another awesome SF Visit. They can clean them up, make them nicer, but underneath it all, it's a Six Flags park on a Saturday! Erik, when did you get so 'scraggly'??? WillMontu
^^ You absolutely must. A million times better than Small World A few other comments about the park -Employees were generally friendly, and they had all the gates open in the morning. People were everywhere cleaning up trash, etc. Employees said goodbye at the exit -Basketballs - People were bouncing them all over the park. Very annoying -The R&B show - Good show, but way too loud -Parking was $15. A bit of a ripoff -Food was way overpriced, but that was expected -We did not ride any of the water rides. The splash boat ride looked weak -We will be hitting the park again today to get the 11th credit. Last train of the night in the back row on Goliath. Great ride Goliath at night Night rides on Mindbender in the front car He still has the scars We pay homage to Robb's shrine GASM has potential, but not airtime Erik shows the signature move after riding the Vekoma ride Doesn't it look beautiful? Deja Vu was running I wonder how much this sign would sell for Forget the 1st Gen Intamin, forget Acrophobia, forget Goliath. The Carousel's where it's at This must be why. Hey, Robb? SFOG's carousel has some history to it
CoasterCrazy
Nice pictures everyone! Yesterday was a lot fun and it would have sucked if we didn't have a Q-bot. It was only the second day this year that I spent more than about 4 hours in the park. I knew the park was going to be packed when over half of the Gold parking was blocked off for buses! BTW, the sun was in my eyes!!!!!
Shockwave
Glad you had a great day there guys! I just can't believe they got everything working there! That means I've still got half the park to do! Ninja, Deja Vu, Mindbender and Freefall were all closed as well as some other stuff, and Goliath was even open!
Erik Johnson
Your Deja Vu photo RULES!!! Sounds like another awesome SF Visit. They can clean them up, make them nicer, but underneath it all, it's a Six Flags park on a Saturday! Erik, when did you get so 'scraggly'??? Well there could me several reasons why I look so "scraggly" on this trip. You can decide which one is the truth. 1. Since I was going to Georgia, why not try to fit it. 2. While I am pathetic, even in the "roller coaster realm" I tried to at least look like one of them. (It was too hot to wear my awesome jeans jacket) 3. I was trying to win a Guy look-a-like contest. 4. I had a crazy work week last week so I was unable to get a haircut, plus I forgot to bring my razor and shaving cream. 5. I like to add confusion to those who will be checking my SF Annual Pass . Anyways, I will be back to my "normal" looking self by tomorrow as well as adding my Photo TR. Whew! tngdiablo
Awesome trip report! How come that sign said Lost Parents? haha, shouldn't it be the other way around? I've seen this in many Six Flags parks. They all say "Lost Parents." I never got it either...
SharkTums
^They do it to try and make children better, as in, it's not their fault it's their parents fault for getting lost.

Time for more Elissa Friendly food Unfortunately Goliath has a trim brake after the helix. Other than that, the ride has lots of air A few hints of home (and the old man!) Cool shot of Cyclone's lift Mascots were everywhere.
WillMontu
I'm suprised nobody's found the ACEr yet. Oh well. My video of the train ride is up now at http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25310 Also a few more pics That's expensive pizza. ECZenith
Nice photos, if only they'd paint SFMM's Ninja like that. It's a great coaster in need of some love.
SFOGdude25
quick question: I'm going to SFOG this Tues. and Wed. Should it be a lot less crowded than it is on Saturdays? just wondering, because the last several times I've been at SFOG, it was on a Sat.
