I went on JTA today, I loved the ride itself but scenary was rubbish and the drop looks less steep than it really is

EDIT: Not to be rude, but make sure you learn that a word your 1st grade teacher taught you how to spell "what" is typed correctly. I can understand if there is one typo of the word, but you mispelled "what" as "wat" through your entire post.

I really like JTA but as previously mentioned the theming could be a LOT better. There's a lot of tricks that don't work that would really add to the ride. The flume drop is really good though.

Overall I liked the ride. I hate that straight drop and the theming...I really couldnt remember it. I wish the coaster part was longer.....

The pictures were cool too.

I thought it was rather lame. Both as a water ride and as a coaster.

I mean, I've never gotten on one of the boats without being up to my ankles in water. Plus, if you're sitting in the back, the primary means of getting wet is dripping water from the ceiling during the first portion before the drop. Dripping water. That's like the cheapest, lamest way to get wet on a ride ever.

And then after the drop, after the forward momentum is slowed, you're now up to your calfs in water.

So if you sit in the back, you exit the ride with wet pants legs and shoes, and wet hair. And that's it.

Plus, the theming is pretty lame compared to other stuff in central Florida.

It's just a weak ride. In my opinion, Anheiser Busch shouldn't really bother trying to compete with Disney/Universal theming-wise. Their attempts are always really half-assed (at least in the Florida parks -- Williamsburg is a very notable exception). What Busch does best is light theming with high thrills. Like Montu and SheiKra. Cool archetecture, great settings for coasters. But nothing so elaborate as Journey to Atlantis, Wild Arctic, Akbar... these Disney-style rides just come up short because they're so close geographically to much, much better themed stuff.

Just a suggestion. This isn't on topic, but can you please check your spelling and grammar. It makes it easier for us to read. For a free spell checker, get the Google Toolbar

As for Journey to Atlantis, I'm usually next door riding Kraken, mainly due to the long lines and frequent breakdowns (they may not be as bad now)

I haven't ridden it before. I've been to Sea World once and Atlantas was closed all day. This might be off topic but can someone please post an on-ride video of Atlantas?

The ride itself isnt that bad.. By that I mean the 2 drops.. The theming is pretty haggard, and it seemed like it took them forever to finally sync up the show sequences.. probably up until this year, everytime I rode it half the effects were cycling without any regard to the ride vehicles.

Anyway, there are definately better flume rides in Orlando and elsewhere in the world, but nonetheless JTA is a great fit for Sea World IMO.
