Slessie Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 So Robb, in your opinion what is the best park you have been to?
Chris Benvenuto Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Well, Here's my ratings (open minded, that is): Blue Streak: B- Well, what can I say about BS? It's classic, I would've loved to ride it before it got headrests and seperate ratching bars. Cedar Creek Mine Ride: D Arrr, no thanks. Nuff' said then done. Corkscrew: C- Well, Arrow and liked it before they added Seatbelts to it! Disaster Transport: varies I have mixed thoughts on DT, no official grade, More like a G rating, Which means Credit, No grade in my school district. Gemini: C+ I have to say, this is a great airtime filled dueler, but Lightning Racer at HP is much, much better. Draggin Iron': C Well, It's the only one I've ridden, shamefully speaking Magnum: B+ This is fun, surely when the trims are off, but it's starting to kill my waist and knees. Mantis: B I had a fairly fun ride on Mantis, it's not too shabby if you ride correctly. I mean, stand to your full height. Millennium Force: C- Well, it's starting to get rough in various spots, not something I like feeling after it's been open for less then a decade. Raptor: A One of my favorite Inverts. Without a Doubt. TTD: B Well, One trick pony. Meh. Wildcat: B Show some lovin' to this Schwarzkopf Machine! Woodstock: A+ A+ only due to, EASY WHORING CREDIT!
matteocrepaldi Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 I had the opportunity to go to CP last August and here's some ratings. I stayed only one day so I did't ride all the coasters. Iron Dragon: B: It was much more fun than what I've expected it to be. Magnum XL 200: C: I didn't like it so much. Genimi: B++: Great ride, lot of fun! Cedar Creek Mine: C+: Nice ride where you can relax a little bit betwee a big coaster and another one. Disaster Transport: C: It's ok; nice theming in the queue area but nothing particular in the ride. Mantis: D-: Painful! Raptor: A: Great ride! TTD: A+: I had to wait 2 hours and 15 minutes for it but it was worth it! Millennium Force: A++: Awesome ride! I wish I had another day to ride the rest of them and to ride again TTD and MF with daylight!
Electerik Posted April 30, 2006 Posted April 30, 2006 Okay, Cedar Point versus the rest of the world: Millennium Force: Currently my favorite rollercoaster, so I'll give this one to CP. Raptor: Not bad, but I strongly prefer Top Gun at Carowinds. Mantis: Riddler's Revenge is better. So is the Georgia Scorcher. Blue Streak: Pretty good. Not in the same class as, say, Shivering Timbers, though. Corkscrew: A better arrow looper? How about Tennessee Tornado? Top Thrill Dragster: It's a pretty good ride, but I haven't been on any other Intamin rockets, so I'll call this one a tie. Mean Streak: This doesn't beat too many woodies out there. But just to make it official, I'll go with Cornball Express. Wild Cat: Fun, but not much better or worse than any other. Tie. Woodstock Express: Does this run two trains? If so, then I give it the win for the on-ride photo. If not, then the Flying Unicorn trumps it. Gemini: Better than not riding a rollercoaster. Not too sure what to compare this one to. Tie. Magnum XL-200: Props for historical importance, but I honestly can't think of a proper hypercoaster that I like less. Heck, even among Arrow hypers, I prefer Desperado. Iron Dragon: I really like these, but this one is dull. And certainly no match for, say, PKI's Top Gun. Jr. Gemini: Never been on it. Tie. Disaster Transport: Not actually bad. I'll go easy on it and beat it with Runaway Mountain at SFOT. Wicked Twister: I think I actually prefer the standard Impulse coasters. Cedar Creek Mine Ride: It's okay. I'd take either SFMM's Goldrusher or SFOT's Mine Train over it, though. Okay, so giving CP the benefit of the doubt on Woodstock, that's 2 wins, 4 ties, and 10 losses. And the winner is: Rest of the World.
