Hey gang.... I need help!!! As some of you know, I have finally moved into the 21st century and got a digital camera (thanks to my hubby, Herb!)

I have taken some photos this week while Miss Sammi and I were traveling, and I am ready to post them, however, they are too big to post here. We have several programs that I can use- Microsoft PictureIt!, Kodak's Easyshare program that came with the camera (I got a Kodak Easyshare Z650) and some HP program, but we don't know what the heck we are doing.

I am open to any or all suggestions....

Many thanks,

Shari "I finally got a digital camera but still can't post here" Shoufler

Your best bet for resizing (if you have XP) is to download & install the windows xp picture resizer.

After installing all you have to do is right click a picture, click resize, and select the size. It'll leave the original intact and create a copy in the size you selected.

Start

Programs

Accessories

Paint

File

Open your picture.

Image

Stretch/Skew

(input percentage of the size you want. If you want it bigger or smaller, hit edit, undo, and then pick a new size).

File

SAVE AS (pick a new file name -- you don't want to save over your old, biggie-sized photo).

Voila -- you now have a picture of a postable size, without playing around with programs you don't already have.

And the best thing about the XP power toy is that you can highligh the whole group of pictures and it'll do it all at once. There's also an advanced option to resize the original instead of making a copy.

The MS paint method works, but would take forever if you have a good amount of pics.

Thanks to everybody for their help.... the past couple of weeks have been hectic and tonight I finally got the chance to mess around a bit with things... hopefully, if I have done things correctly, there should be some pictures of my daughter, Sammi. She was a model for the American Girl Fashion Show last week!

Okay, sorry to bring up this old topic, but I'm in the EXACT same situation.

I downloaded and installed the image resizer, but I can't find it. How do I open the program and use it?

Thanks!

The power toy? It's not a program in the start menu. It gets added to the properties menu.

So highlight one or more files, right click, and there should be a "resize images" option.
