Real World: DENVER!

The 21,000 plus square foot building is located in Lower Downtown (LoDo) Denver, a historic district and mixed-use neighborhood. The two story building was most recently occupied by B-52 Billiards, a 1940s - 1950s themed restaurant/night club/billiards hall which featured B-52 Bomber seats and a bar that wrapped around the nose of a KC-97.

 

 

From 1995 to early 2000, the building was owned by Bella Ristorante, an Italian eatery. Robert Thompson and Leigh Jones (B-52 Real Estate, LLC), the husband and wife owners of B-52 Billiards purchased the building in early 2000 and opened the establishment to the public in December 2000. B-52 Billiards closed it's doors for the final time on February 20, 2006 with little warning to their employees and no explanation. On April 10th, MTV announced the next season of the Real World would be filmed in Denver.

 

 

Renovations to the building began in April and will include adding a full kitchen, basketball court, hot tub, bathrooms and bedrooms. Construction is slated to be complete in May, with the filming of the series to continue through September.

I remember going to B-52 once. It was right after a baseball game. Its a really cool place!

 

B-52 is about a 2 minute drive from Six Flags Elitch Gardens, and the Pepsi Center. Only about 100 yards from Coors Field.

 

I will be driving around Denver sporadically May threw September, trying to get a glimpse of whats going on down there.

I miss Road Rules. The Real World is so cheasy that it kills me, I can't sit and watch that show because the people on there have just gotten so fake and lame. I miss when the Real World actually had an element of reality.

I was in LoDo last week too bad I didn't walk over there and see the building, I wish we had known about it. We did get a chance to go into some pubs, of course no drinks for me , but soon haha. Denver has a neat atmosphere, there are a ton of bars in LoDo so there are going to be a lot of drunk people on the show... haha like thats any different.

I liked Road Rules as well, I wondered why there was no new season last year. I hate how they copied other reality shows with the voting off though

Ratings for Road Rules dropped. Many attribute that to the new voting procedure. As a result, the show was canned and the last season was Road Rules Xtreme (Season 10).

Yeah I no Real World is just bad now. I've watched like two episodes this season and there all the same. Just about some girl and how she has a eating disorder. The only thing that will make this season good is when there stuck in the hurricane! haha They should just cancel the Real World.
