ParkTrips Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 (edited) So I jetted over to MB this week, 2nd time this year already, and this time hit up some of the area attractions. First up, the Grand Prix Edited April 18, 2017 by ParkTrips
SharkTums Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Thanks for the rundown...I'll have to make note of that kiddie credit in Augusta! Seriously though, the whole myrtle beach thing still confuses me, do you have time to do a quick list of park, what rides they have, how close they are to the other parks? I'm picturing a Jersey Shore type vibe with a bunch of parks all independantly operated right next to each other.
Jonathan Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Nah, not really like that at all. Grand Prix is in North Myrtle (I believe), and it is 10-15 minutes from the other parks. Family Kingdom and the Pavilion are close enough to each other that you can see some of the rides from one park while you are on a ride at one of the other parks, but they are still a good distance from each other.
trustkill22 Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 ^^^ Indeed. But one thing is, is that they seem so close but as you start walking it seems like you are never going to make it because it is alot further than you think. I definately have done it and wasn't fun.

Rugged One Posted April 22, 2006 Posted April 22, 2006 Nice report Joe. I agree with you on the Hurricane. I rode that thing so many times when I lived down there, that while I admit it's a total abuser, I still got some decent rides and can't quite make myself hate it. I'm looking forward to getting back for a visit this summer. I was supposed to go in 2 weeks but now just Florida is on the agenda. I still need that Wacky Worm credit at the Grand Prix. Everytime I was there, it never looked like it was open. It was only until later that I found out it utilizes one of those "rotating ride ops".
DerekRx Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 I'm heading to Myrtle this weekend, so thanks for the heads up about Swamp Fox. I'll make sure the ride is running before I purchase an all day wristband or enough tickets to ride it.
