You know that when it comes down to it, Myspace.com is the primary reason why this ride is killing people. You know the drill...blame myspace.com for everything as the media tends to do as well.

It's myspace that's killing th people on Mission Space. They didn't repost that one bulliten. Now look at where they are.

But seriously, I too think it's stupid that the media has to blow every theme park accident story out of proportion. You never read in any of those stories that you are more at risk on the road driving to the park than you are at the park. Most of the accidents at theme parks result from the guest doing something really stupid. But the stupid person who died never gets the blame it's always the park that gets blamed.

The key thing to know before you go onto any thrilling attraction which pushes your body beyond normal limits.... know what your body can handle. And #2, don't force your friends on if they don't want to go. Being petrified can sometimes cause other problems to arrise.

^ Myspace IS the cause of everything. From rapists to...rapists! Or if you really want to get technical, Online Predators.

But seriously, "Disney's Killer Ride" honestly WTF. They don't make coasters to kill people.

I thought the wave pool had killed just as many people.

So, Mission Space does have a record for making people sick. Big Deal. I'm sure back in the old days, The Crystal beach Cyclone didn't get any media attention when it made someone throw up, or back in those days, die in hospital.

Now days they do, and now that i've written this, i'm really ticked off with the Media!

I get the following spam in my mailbox today from Motley Fool:

Disney's Killer Ride - DISCUSS!

Amusement park rides sometimes reveal underlying medical problems, with serious results. Should you get a physical before you try a ride like "Mission: Space"?

And it's a link to become a premium member of their site.

It annoys me on several levels because:

1. It's blowing something completely out of proportion. And....

2. They are using THIS...of all things going on in the world...THIS is what they are using as bait to get people to join their site????

Based on this I will never, ever go to Motley Fool again...

OO. That presents a double edged sword. While I agree, thats pretty low. They ARE the only news/stock site I have ever seen that regularly reports on amusement parks and hits them perfectly each time.

I mean really. When they said that parks could learn from Holiday World (whos not publically traded) that means youve done your research.
