itnotfair
I'm in it for the glazed-over looks I get from people when I tell them that Goliath was built by Giovanola, who also supplied steel for B&M and Intamin, and who also built an inverted coaster in South Africa called Anaconda that I really want to ride. If I meet anyone who says they like coasters, I can usually completely lose their interest within one sentence!

Purplepills
I just love riding them and find them fun. The bigger picture for me though is visiting a park, and for that whole day nothing else exists asides whats in the park. The only thing I need to worry about is which ride I am going on next. Its a total escape from everyday life, and I love doing it.
Sean Menefee
A local paper quoted me last year on why I love coasters, and what got me started besides my love of photography & travel. (A common thread with most thrill seekers it would seem!) Check it out: Nerdy eh? -Sean Vallejo Times Herald - May 11th, 2008 Edition
The Disneylander
For me, I just love the sensation of the wind in my face whistling past my face. For a few minutes, I can just let go of everything and enjoy some pure bliss.
monsterfan99
To me, coasters combine the best of all hobbies. - You get the speed and rush you get from sports and/or cars. - You can doing the coaster count as a form of collecting. - You get to travel around the world, see new places and maybe a great story. - Get a history lesson on not only the industry, but people's taste at the time. - Meet great people and the hobby has a strong online community. - You also get to escape the realities of life, which is always a plus. VivaLaVibora
First, it's the thrill, and enjoyment for me. After that, I do enjoy looking at the structures themselves because that ride thrills me. Considering a roller coaster I think is junk, I could careless about looking at it. The same thing goes for carnival rides, and waterpark rides also. Crazy_Behemoth_Lady_Jess
- To help me face my fear of heights that I've had for almost my entire life. - Good stress relief - I've wanted to be a race car driver or an aerobatic fighter pilot when I was younger but untill I found out how dangerous it was, I was determined to find an alternative - I love fast things in general - My cousins dragged me on behemoth last summer and I was just wanted more after that - I just havea tendency to get obsessed with everything I get into as part of a mental illness I have ( I was diagnosed with ASD at a young age) ~ Jess "Life in the fast lane" Chan
