Jim Disney Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Westcoaster Update - 04/06/2006 - Universal Studios Hollywood... now 20% more artist friendly So here's a new update... it's been busy lately, huh? Anyways... so here's the update from Universal Studios Hollywood. They've been busy in City Walk building the SkyVenture indoor skydiving location and a new shop called Upstart Crow. We've got photos of that as well as photos of a new large Kuka arm that looks to be used in the new Fast and The Furious tram tour "show" (we have photos of where it'll go on the tour as well). And some fun photos from the VIP Tram Tour... the Prop Warehouse, Sound Stages and stuff like that! Enjoy!!
Jim Disney Posted April 6, 2006 Author Posted April 6, 2006 ^Right... there'll be two. Like I said in the update... while I find The Fast and The Furious to be completely retarded, this could end up being a really cool addition to the tram tour if they pull it off right... so we'll see...
Wes Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 So like....they are actually going to throw a car at you?
UberBeavis Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 They're gonna throw Paul Walker at you, Wes (Ron Howard is busy)
JT3000 Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 I'm glad to see your updates have finally become more artist friendly, Jim. But the others are kinda old and stupid now.
CD Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 I am planning on visiting the park next Saturday and the weather channel says that it is going to rain. Can anyone who has been to the park when it is rainning tell me what the crowds will be like, what rides and shows could get closed, if it is even worth going, and how much rain the area gets. I have never been to the park, or even the L.A. are before, and I am very excited and rain might be a HUGE disapointment. Thanks, Chris
Jim Disney Posted April 7, 2006 Author Posted April 7, 2006 Thanks for the kind words, ya'll! I'll try to make sure our updates stay artist friendly and don't become... old and stupid. As for the weather + crowds thing... I mean. Generally, if rain starts falling... people just don't end up going to the parks. Regardless of where you're at (Disney, Universal, That dude's mom's house)... wait, what? So I dunno... it's kind of a crap shoot when it comes to the crowds. But even the talk of rain and a few threatening clouds might keep some of the crowds away. But do also remember that this is technically Spring Break, and you're going on a Saturday. So it could end up still being busy anyways... who knows.
