The Herbster Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Being bored at work I started scouring the old forums. On Mon Feb 28, 2005 5:16 pm, Millenniumguy posted this: "... CP you get your hand stamped for rides like Magnum(i don't know why you will need it ), MF, WT, TTD and Raptor. These handstamps show the time you can get to ride the ride with less or no wait at all." Did this happen? Did it work? and most importantly will it be availble in 2006? The Herbster ---Insert witty quote here--
Carnage Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Well it did happen. But I'm pretty sure they've removed the entire system now. Now they have some VIP program that you can buy which gives you front of the line access for all the rides for your group. Not sure on the exact specifics, but it's really expensive and not really an option unless you're really well off.
downunder Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Freeway is long gone by all reports I have seen. The new VIP thing is $350 per person with a minimum of four in a group, but you don't have to wait for anything.
benzo41190 Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 I would do it. That is if they had rides that are worth it. I mean you can get on almost everthing in 1 1/2 days during the week. If they had this at SFMM or SFGAdv, then it would be more worth it.
dandaman Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 *sish* Unfortunately, they got rid of it sometime last September, I think. Haven't heard any news of a comeback, so judge from that.
CoasterFanatic Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 As far as I know it is gone for good and I ain't complaining. // That stupid ink is a bitch to get off
benzo41190 Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 i think they should to like a Q-Bot thing. I mean there are enough attractions to do it with.
dandaman Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 As far as I know it is gone for good and I ain't complaining. // That stupid ink is a bitch to get off As is evident by all the black marks just ahead of the checkpoint in every Freeway-enabled queue... Come to think of it, maybe I'm not so bummed out about its removal after all.
Carnage Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 Besides it wasn't nearly as much of an advantage as q-bot/fast lane, etc. You could only get one stamp for one ride. And in the case of the popular rides you had to know exactly when they started stamping or they'd run out before you even got over there.
