Nrthwnd Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Picked this little bee-yooty up this late afternoon. At first I really REALLY wasn't too keen on having this new 'thing' in our life. Much less, for the purpose we knowit was meant for... But - once we moved some stuff here and therer. OMG ::shock: And now it sits very nicely, snuggled in wher eit shoudl be - waiting for it's next rider.... And hopefully - by the time I leave for the UK Tour, lugging around 20 (and a few more) extra pounds won't be a serious health problem to me. And we can watch TPR 'Family' DVDs too, while pedaling to..... nowhere!!! (EDIT: Realized I should have brought the camera with us, showing the way it was 'hauled' home, lol! Hence, a true RTR. Ah well, maybe another piece of equipment, heh heh.) Camille seems a-ok with where her tear-up playbox has ended up. Happy kitty, She. David in the seat. He checked it out, he paid for it, he's happy, LOL. (o: Me in the saddle here. Note the bit-o-a-GUT there? Must - get - rid - of. Pronto. Here it is - haven't named it yet, lol. And see behind it, on the wall there? Everest map, been up there since before 2003! Before E:E! (o:
Hattuchili Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 This is so random, Bill! Haha, I hope it really brings the effect you want from this bike, or whathever it is called! --Sören
waterviper Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Call it The Canadian Gut Buster 2000!! hehehe!! Or the CGB2k
Teddymonster Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Hurray, Bill! Now I actually have a decent idea of what David looks like. It can be hard to tell on a coaster pic...adrenaline, wind, etc...
TwistedTrack Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 That exact poster is in my Social Studies class. This was extremely random.
Nrthwnd Posted March 13, 2006 Author Posted March 13, 2006 ^ Good old National Geographic one, lol. David is a mountain NUT and used to do hiking trips up (never did climbing, wouldn't now) into the ice caves on Mount Rainier, in Wash. state. Never did Shasta,a nd would still like to hike it, where he can. So that's his "Mountain Wall" which works out perfectly with the newly-placed exer-bike of all things! And off the left shoulder is a good TV view or watching TPR and TPR-Related DVD's - hah! (hi Don! Love both vids!) And actually - the photo 'look' at that side of Everest, IS The Look that Disney has attempted in smaller detail on E:E's front view, if you look and compare. And Mike... Hey - it's a Schwinn made bike, buddy. Good company made, I'd say. I have just over two months till Da UK Tour. We shall see, eventually how much 'gut' goes bye bye, lol. Teddy, you wouldn't see David in many - if any- coaster onride pix. He doesn't go on them as often as I have, but I do have a couple, the latest from Rock-N-Roller in Paris, of us having our kicks, heh heh. Will scan it and post sometime soon - maybe our anniversary, on Earth Day. Awwwwww... We kept trying to get on-ride pix of us in Big Thunder - Advise To Others: If you want good on-ride pix at any BTM, never sit in third row of any of the cars. Headchopping cams, boo hoo. Talk about yer re-rides, LOL. I think we tried a few more times, then 'got it,' but decided another time, lol. So that's for us next year's, attraction souvenir project, lol.

If you don't...well, make sure ya do.
Nrthwnd Posted March 13, 2006 Author Posted March 13, 2006 ^ Noted, Teddy. And here's a look at The Thing in Question, itself. Oooooooooooooooooo exercise.......... We'll see. Made by Schwinn, the bicycle peeps!
Teddymonster Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 ^It's brootifulls! Kind of like the ones in Epcot center where you can "bicycle" through WDW parks...wait, is that even there anymore?
Nrthwnd Posted March 15, 2006 Author Posted March 15, 2006 ^ Hmmm, dunno. Haven't been to EPCOT since (GASP)... 1991!!! Have heard things are a bit 'different' there now, mmm? Your guess is as good as mine, lol. (HAPPY Edit: And today's calories lost total = 253 Wouldn't ya know it?Hmmm.)
USRoadTripper Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 ^It's brootifulls! Kind of like the ones in Epcot center where you can "bicycle" through WDW parks...wait, is that even there anymore? Those are inside Wonders of Life, so they are there but not used anymore. One was Disneyland, one was "giant world" or something where you are tiny and huge stuff is all around you, and I don't remember what the third one was. They were called Wondercycles. -Julie
Nrthwnd Posted March 17, 2006 Author Posted March 17, 2006 ^^ Loooove the newly "updated" avatar, Julie! ExerUpdate: Sticking to at least twice a day on 'it.' Since Tuesday now. "Pedalled off" about 5-600 calories, which is great considering they weren't being exercised off before, heh heh. Going to the PlayDome Carnival at our BC Place Stadium, tomorrow, early afternoon. "45 Rides & Attractions." Riiiiiiiight. But hey - it's a GI-LENGTHY cement ramp to go down, to actually get to the main floor where everything's set up (and back up, later), walking around and getting on a ride or three, will help exercise the legs and gut, hmm? I'll get my share tomorrow, lol. Not relying on regular weighing to be absolutely sure, until a week's gone by. Next Tuesday afternoon.
Nrthwnd Posted April 19, 2006 Author Posted April 19, 2006 BUMPing this up to 'report' current losses..... Started on Tuesday, Mar.14 @ 210 lb. Weighed myself yesterday, as per weekly... 203 lb.!!! Guess the damned thing is working, huh? AND cutting down on the constant "in-house snacking," heh heh. Well, I guess I should keep at it, and still drink lots of water, eat sensibly, etc. etc.
