DATman Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 I'm doing a documentary about Goliath (SFMM), following it all the way through construction, up to present day. I was wondering if you guys could post a lot of pics that you'd be willing to let me use. These are basically of all the construction things, like ground work, vert. construction, media day, and opening. All pics are greatly appreciated!
arrowfanman Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Sorry man! Goliath was really pre-coaster enthusiast for me! If you can change, I suggest covering SFMM's 2001 additions. Twisted Rails has a great archive of the construction of Goliath Jr., Dejavu, and X, which can be found here. Or you can cover the construction of Scream, here. But still, I know nothing of Goliath. Sorry I couldn't be of greater help -Jahan "Just practicing my 'But I know what you can do' skills!" Makanvand
DATman Posted February 8, 2006 Author Posted February 8, 2006 ^Thanks. I'm really considering changing it to one of those, if I can only find the one pic on RCDB...
Homer Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 If there is a way to upload the special "Scream Parks" from my DVR to my PC, that would help you alot. It had some great footage of Goliath being built.
ECZenith Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 I think I might be able to help... The coaster was constructed primarily by "Littel Construction" (I believe it's spelt that way) out of Southern Cali. I'm not sure what they're address or phone number is but the same construction team is currently working on Tatsu, and has built up the other B&Ms and some other rides in the park. If you could get a hold of them, it would be a great help to you. I know Goliath actually had a problem with the rails lining up towards the ends of construction, they would be able to give you more details on this.
DATman Posted February 9, 2006 Author Posted February 9, 2006 Well, I can't do the doc. becuase I have to be somewhere else on the only day I can film. So I'm gonna do something at my school.
sfne2005 Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 There was a documentary about Goliath on TV a year or two after it was built. Maybe it was on Discovery, I am not sure. Just a little tid bit for you. They discussed it all the way through its construction.
