timberterror Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 It may be a little early but if anyone could help out that would be cool. This summer I am taking my family back east for a sightseeing trip with a few parks along the way. I was hoping to save some cash on admissions if possible. The parks we are hitting are Hersheypark, Knoebels (pretty cheap already), Six Flags America (have a season pass got this one covered), Paramounts King's Dominion and Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide. - Barry
Indyboy Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 If your going through Indiana and want to go to holiday world go to a dairy queen in Indiana and ask for dicount tickets and you get a slight discount
SharkTums Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Honestly, it is a little early. If you can wait a bit longer, wait till the season starts then ask again. By this time there will be commercials and promotions and the locals can tell you which fast food or grocery stores to go to to grab coupons!
Indyboy Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 ^ Elissa Shut Up My cousin lives in Virginia and we always go to Burger Kingnot mickey d's to get coupons for pkd
ParkTrips Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Wow first he gives advice on coupons for a park not even listed, then he tells Elissa to shut up I remember seeing Coke can discounts for PKD a few times over the years, so you may want to check that out (of course, ACE gets the 50% off too) BGW - good luck, my friend. AAA can save you ~ $5.00 if you are a member, if not, their online deals can save you a couple of bucks as well. And when did she say anything about Mcdonalds?
Indyboy Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 My edit button stopped work ing and the mickey d comment was because ive never seen them eat at burger king but there are coupons there
Meteornotes Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Consistantly for Hersheypark every year, the best discount ticket is at Giant grocery stores. There's one right up the road from the park, so you can get your tickets there. For King's Dominion and BGW, fast food places usually run a coupon deal. This changes from year to year, but usually the local Burger King and Wendy's are the two that participate. If you have a SF season pass, you're covered at SFA. And there are no coupons for Knoebel's, but it's pretty cheap anyway. Have fun! dt
BelizeIt Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 ^^Dam a twelve year old with only 25 or so posts tells Elissa to Shut Up! You seem to forget that she is the Owner of this site with he husband Robb. You had better pray that she doesn't follow up on this post. Otherwise your moron remarks might get yourself banned! Grow Up Child!!!
timberterror Posted January 30, 2006 Author Posted January 30, 2006 Thanks for the info. I figured it may be a early. I'll ask again when the trip gets closer.
Indyboy Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 I was Grouchy and i think she found out anyway so i said im sorry
timberterror Posted May 11, 2006 Author Posted May 11, 2006 Hello again, my trip is only 2 months away!!!!! If anyone has info on discounts to BGW, Hersheypark or PKD let me know. Also if anyone has coupons they would like to part with I'd be happy to send them a SASE to get them. PM me if you can help. Also a couple other questions. I am trying not to hit any of the parks on the weekends, but I may have to. Is Knoebels better on a Friday afternoon than a Sunday??? Would it be better to go to BGW on a Sunday or a Monday. We'll be back east the last half of July. Also if anyone has any pointers to these parks let me know. Thanks, Barry
larrygator Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 Knoebels is better on a weekday since POP wristbands are not sold on summer weekends. On Saturdays and Sundays you have to pay for each ride. Last time I went to PKD I just bought an e-ticket online for convenience. I didn't want to have to rely on a soda can or fast food restaurant that might not have an existing offer at the time or restrictions that I was not aware of. Sometimes that Coke cans say 1/2 off, but it is only 1/2 off on weekends. I don't think Busch Gardens does discount coupons, I usually save a couple of bucks buying my ticket through AAA.
