NEVER use your credit card at a pay phone!

Maybe this is just common sense, but do not use your credit card at a pay phone. My cell phone went dead last week at Disneyland and we didn't have any change. We were late for meeting our ride and had to find out where they were picking us up. Thinking that I would be charged the regular 25 cents, I did it. The phone call was local and was less than a minute. When I got my credit card bill, $7.60 was charged! I called the company and they said it was $5.50 in operator fees, and misc. fees. WTF! So just to warn you other naive people out there like me, just ask someone for change for a dollar.

1) Just because the phones are at Disney, doesn't necesarily mean they're operated by Disney. Perhaps you should be more upset with the phone company, unless Disney has it's own phone service......

2) Just about everyone has a minimum charge amount for using credit cards (usually $15) to cover their costs for allowing you to use the credit card.
