josephwanek Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Maybe this is just common sense, but do not use your credit card at a pay phone. My cell phone went dead last week at Disneyland and we didn't have any change. We were late for meeting our ride and had to find out where they were picking us up. Thinking that I would be charged the regular 25 cents, I did it. The phone call was local and was less than a minute. When I got my credit card bill, $7.60 was charged! I called the company and they said it was $5.50 in operator fees, and misc. fees. WTF! So just to warn you other naive people out there like me, just ask someone for change for a dollar.
TheStig Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 Well it is Disney you know! Their just gonna try to rape everbody who visits of their money, and self respect for mice... Sorry this happened to you, maybe a $7 Churro would help? Colin"I really hate Disney"C
socalMAN123 Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 Wow, that really sucks. Seeing that I don't have a credit card, I would end up being pretty screwed in that situation. ---Brent 8)

mcjaco Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 1) Just because the phones are at Disney, doesn't necesarily mean they're operated by Disney. Perhaps you should be more upset with the phone company, unless Disney has it's own phone service...... 2) Just about everyone has a minimum charge amount for using credit cards (usually $15) to cover their costs for allowing you to use the credit card.
slick Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 And to sum up this situation perfectally, a Family Guy quote.... Michael Eisner: "Brian..... here you go, come to Disneyland!!... Bring money."
ebl Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 Buy a phone card at Wal-Mart or Costco and keep it with you. Eric
